Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Though she was expecting Dorian, solely because she was sitting in his room on his bed, the assassin was surprised at the faerie's demeanor. Letting her eyes dart down to his hand as she watches him morph a decidedly very real blade from thin air, she arches a brow at him unimpressed. Secretly the assassin was very enthralled she wouldn't allow the male the satisfaction of gloating over his magic. Folding her hands across her knee, she crosses a leg and leans back slightly, balancing between on her rump. When he finally recognizes the assassin she watches the blade vanish again and the witch can't help but feel the surge of envy in her bones. He made it look so easy.

It was with his words that has Vhalla chuckling quietly in the now bright room, "And I can assure you that I have no interest in sharing your bed. I'm merely here because I have questions about Samantha. I can see the two of you are very close," Vhalla comments her icy blue eyes searching the man for answers. "That woman is terrified," she states the obvious releasing her knee and letting her bare feet touch the floor, "What do you know about the faeries who turned her?" she asks quietly, her eyes hardening at the brief story Sam offered her.

It was truly a nightmare for the queen. The assassin was no stranger to violence and though she had only just met the woman, the faerie wasn't hiding her fear as well as she thought she was. It infuriated the witch to see such an innocent woman terrified by her past, to be stalked through her sleep by terrors. Running from the past was something Vhal could relate to. Pushing away her own thoughts of the past, Vhalla returns her attention back to Dorian.

Noting the way, he stands by the door, she makes no move to stand, she simply stays seated on the edge of his bed. She's aware at how much she's surely invaded his privacy but the assassin wanted answers and she was certain she wouldn't get much from Sam without causing the woman to succumb to another wave of fear. Her chest tightens at the thought until the male speaks again, causing her eyes to travel to his face and lock her own blue eyes with his silver.

An unamused smile tugs at her lips as she lets out a humorless laugh, "Haven't you ever met a witch before? What do you think happened?" she says bitterly looking away from him to hide her shame. If Sam hadn't been there she would have incinerated the entire apartment, including the residents of the building. Letting her shoulders go slack from exhaustion, she focuses on another point in the room, avoiding the faerie's gaze. "Your queen shared her past with me it... enraged me," she trails off before turning her head to face Dorian again. "This fire is uncontrollable; it's weaved into my emotions. Before you showed up I was going to burn your home to the ground," she shrugs without any menace it was simply the truth.

She could have lied but she could feel the darkness playing around the edge of her consciousness, she needed to sleep and recover, but first she needed answers.
