Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

kissing death and loosing my breath
She didn't have time for this. She didn't have time for this. She didn't have time of this. The mantra was repeated within her head as she bounded up the stairs of the familiar town house, a frown marring her feminine features. Diligently the young woman searched for the keys to his vehicle, pausing only at the additional light that flooded through the open door of the house. Shit. Her grey tinged gaze flicked towards the door as she paused in her white rabbit antics, her eyebrows furrowing momentarily in thought. She stepped towards the door, sticking her hand out to click the button for the trunk release. The lack of the body upon her front yard was definitely a good sign, at least the canine was capable of listening now. Serafina pivoted upon the balls of her feet, her feminine figure moving quickly through the house towards her own work shop. Quickly she grabbed several vials from the back of a drawer, hardly bothering to read the labels on them. She could identify almost ever creation within her workshop by color and appearance alone. The girl turned, her sneakers squeaking on the hard wood floors as she rushed out back towards the front yard, pleased to find her mentor's carcass entirely hidden from view and the back end the the truck tightly closed. She could see movement in the house across the street and quickly she hit the button to unlock the door - jumping into the drivers seat with surprising grace.

Serafina felt the brush of fur against her leg, she watched the small two toned canine jump into the vehicle, crawling over the center console to settle in the passenger's seat. Serafina slid the key into the ignition, feeling the brush of the girl's inquiry across the forefront of her brain. Serafina chose not to reply, at least not yet, instead shifting the vehicle to reverse, her grey tinged gaze shifted back towards the rearview mirror, her foot pressing on the gas while she pressed the down wards button for the window. Quickly and effortlessly the young woman backed up into the street, throwing the car in drive but, rather then pressing down on the peddle she paused long enough to toss one of the potions into the front yard of the lit up houses. "Sleep." The command was soft and sweet, tainted only by the young girl's grumbled addition, "and forget." Two more were tossed out of the window for her nearby neighbors, hoping it'd be enough to buy her some time. In fact, it wasn't until Serafina was away from the neighborhood they lived in that she finally felt the barest hints of the adrenaline beginning to leave her frame. She'd left the radio of the car off, leaving nothing but silent and the rush of wind from the open windows. She could feel the cool touch of the evening breeze caress her skin and softly the young woman sighed, offering the smallest of replies. "Yeah, I'm fine."

It was the only word she offered, preferring the silence as she contemplated her next move. Serafina had, for some time, assumed that her mentorship would end with the death of one of them. Their relationship had been strained for far too long, twisting and contorting into something vial and wretched. He was a powerful individual and certainly not the kind for some sort of therapy to mend wounded egos and old wounds. The girl had considered this before but the act of doing was far different then the fantasy that played out in her mind. Never the less, she drove them purposefully towards the graveyard, her stormy gaze glancing into her rear view mirror to ensure that they weren't followed on their trail. She drove the car through the well maintained graves, search diligently for a group of some without any indication of deceased, visiting loved ones. When she finally found what she was searching for, she let the car come to a halt, reaching down to pop the lid of the trunk. "I hope you like digging." She stated simply as she got out of the car. She should have grabbed a shovel.
