Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you can't wake up, this is not a dream

There was a difference between being confident and being afraid to embarrass herself, and unfortunately, it seemed that this was on the latter of the list. Fortunately for the young Were, Damon seemed to pick up on her hesitance and be willing to coax her towards the playful feelings that the girl was so used to. She offered him a small - but fleeting - smile as he complimented her. "Spice this place up?" She inquired, hardly getting a response for what exactly he meant to do before the lights flickered above her. A small gasp escaped the fox's lips as she pressed herself closer to him. She wasn't sure exactly what was going on, though she had no doubt that it was his doing. "What are you...?" She inquired, trailing off as the people in the bar seemed to flock to the dance floor. "You're full of tricks, aren't you Damon?" She laughed, allowing him to pull her further into the center of the crowd.

The quick, thrumming beat made her seem to come to life once again. She moved her body against his, her hips grinding against his. She hardly expected that the vampire would be able to adapt so readily from the ballroom dancing that they had done in the graveyard to the grinding and moving that was expected within the club. And yet he moved so wonderfully against her. For a second, Edie allowed herself to close her eyes and imagine what it would be like to dance with Kato like this. Despite the fun that she was having with Damon, she couldn't deny that it was Kato's face she saw in her imagination. How she loved him. How she missed him. She hadn't seen him for several days, and her body ached for the man that had stolen her heart.

Still, she looked up at him after a moment, surprised to see his eyes focused on hers. She smiled brightly instantly, moving to wrap her arms around his neck to draw herself in closer. "This is perfect," She said happily as she danced with him. When he began to speak, that blush crept back into Edie's cheeks. "Shush you," She commented as she twirled a piece of his hair around her finger. She giggled as he dipped her, happily looking up at him with her eyes twinkling. "I think I could dance with you all night." And she could, and she wanted to. It was so easy to lose herself in the steps with the man.

"Do you think I'll ever see you again?" Edie asked after several minutes - or was it hours? She was unable to tell - of dancing with him. She wouldn't deny that she wanted to, and yet the night was so perfect that she was sure it would all be a dream.
