Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The fae were quite a mysterious race, as far as Sebastian was concerned. They were a source of endless curiosity if only, entirely, because he had found that he so relished their taste. Each of the three individuals he had met had been delectable in their own ways, even if their bloodstreams had been marred by an assortment of flavors Sebastian himself was not fond of - Dorian, of course, excluded. Still, he could not deny that the utter lusciousness of Dorian's blood certainly contributed to his undeniable attraction to the fae King. What made them taste so pleasant to him, the vampire hardly knew. It was but another of those 'secrets' of the Fae, as his lover had so called it. Nevertheless, a small simper twitched at the corner of the vampire's lips at the notion of there somehow being some such clandestine thing that so intrigued him. Unfortunately, such a jest was hardly enough to entirely placate that concern that blossomed so steadfast within his breast. Regardless, Sebastian was content to at least attempt to so forget that which had so distressed him, his faith in Dorian was entirely steadfast. If the King was certain he had no reason to fret, then he believed him without question.

Even despite such unyielding faith in his companion, Sebastian could hardly deny he was at least slightly relieved that Dorian knew, to some extent, that which he was so experiencing. The prospect that he was so able to reproduce it, however, spoke volumes that this was far more than some ailing affliction. No, this was an affinity flaring to life within his lover much as his own had done but months prior. Still, his eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as he followed his companion into the far quieter courtyards, letting his lover simply search for that which only he knew he quested for. Sebastian was entirely surprised when, moments later, a flower was placed within his hand and yet, he hardly questioned its presence or, moments later, the simple fact that it began to emit a noteable luminosity before so coming back to life within his very fingertips. It was that simple act, and Dorian's comment, that brought a small frown to his features, the vampire so willing to commit himself to so discovering that which Dorian himself seemed on the precipice of understanding, as utterly obscure as this ability had so far proved itself to be.

It was with some vague measure of inquisitiveness that he coaxed his lover back towards the crowd only just enough so that they remained still but on the periphery of it as a whole and yet, close enough to so see that which Dorian could so do if the King was able to reproduce that enigmatic glow. His head cocked to the side ever so slightly as Dorian spoke on what little he had so attempted with this new found ability of his, Sebastian offered a small but, nonetheless, reassuring simper. "Take your time, remember to breathe, you can do it." He offered, those words but whispered utterances of encouragement before he fell silent, letting his lover so do his work. New found affinities were...troublesome at best, his own control at the beginning of his life had been decidedly...well, terrible really. Then again, most of the beginning of his existence as an undead creature had been utterly abhorrent all the same, even without his inability to control now what came as second nature. His own indigo hued eyes so traveled over the crowd at large in those silent moments, waiting, watching for any indication of light anywhere amongst that throng of individuals.

Fortunately, Sebastian hardly had to wait long before that soft gasp from Dorian's lips so pulled the entirety of his attention. He glanced from the fae King to the world that so surrounded them before his eyes fluttered back again, entirely oblivious to the light that so filled Dorian's world. It was only the sight of Dorian covering his own sterling eyes that seemed to suggest the experiment had been a relative success, at least, in some fashion. His head shook ever so slightly as the fae King inquired of his own ability to so see such wonderment, "No...what is it?" He inquired softly, the vampire's head tilting to the side inquisitively in those moments of darkness. He hardly anticipated what happened next, that brilliant light so utterly and abruptly flooded his vision as if the sun itself had peeked from over the horizon and for a moment, his navy gaze merely blinked rapidly as his irises so quickly sought to adjust to that overwhelming level of light that so assaulted him. The world was aflame with those bright colors of yellows, goldenrods, and whites - from the people to the fruit that lined the stands nearby to the very earth itself in the courtyard that surrounded them. It was everywhere. "Bloody hell..." Sebastian muttered, his gaze merely taking in all that light that so surrounded him.

He hardly noticed the glimpses of darkness that existed within that veritable pool of radiant light, at least, not until Dorian had so pointed them out. The vampire's attention darted towards those two individuals, his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly as he observed them and yet any conclusion he might have attempt to draw from those shadowy beings were interrupted by an entirely different observation. It was at Dorian's words that so caught Sebastian off guard, his gaze slowly dropping to his own figure with furrowed brows and a small hint of a frown marring his features. In a way, it hardly surprised him in any fashion though why, he couldn't quite place. Still, his gaze darted towards the man that still sat near by, his own affinity so reaching out to him to, in a metaphysical sense, touch those chemicals he was so capable of controlling. He could always tell them apart, even from a distance. Those pheromones of his own kind were sluggish, and slower to react to his beck and call and yet, Sebastian was entirely certain he understood at least this facet of this new found gift.

"Vampires." He uttered softly with the smallest of frowns. "We are all vampires. Though, I haven't heard of a power failing to work on an entire species before...." His voice trailed off as he considered this very concept before attempting to so explain that blossom of light to so failed to engulf him. "I suppose we're...cold while every other species is warm but..that doesn't explain the flower you brought back to life." It was that simple statement that so caused his gaze to turn back to his lover, offering with a shrug, "I suppose we are...well...dead too..." It was a simple fact that Sebastian had long since come to terms with. He was dead. Or at least, he should have been dead decades upon decades ago. He was a walking corpse, a leech, cold to the touch where the world around him so throbbed with life. It should have bothered him more than it did and yet, he'd come to accept what he was. In fact, he thought very little of it with the sole exception of that anniversary of his own Still, the prospect that Dorian could so manipulate life itself seemed far too far-fetched for even Sebastian to vocalize aloud. It was a great gift indeed - to manipulate life. Though, he supposed, if anyone was perhaps worthy of something so utterly remarkable, it was perhaps his lover. Instead, the vampire's gaze shifted back towards the throng in front of him, eying those various colors to so find a pattern amongst the shades.

"The children seem to glow brighter." He stated simply, the sentence a simple observation rather than drawing any real conclusion. Still, it seemed entirely unavoidable, this prospect that Dorian had been graced with something so meaningful as to have dominion over life itself. Slowly, Sebastian's gaze turned towards his lover, a small simper tugging at his features. "It seems you have been blessed with something remarkable, Ma Biche." He stepped closer towards the fae King, his arm settling around Dorian's waist to so pull him closer as his lips found the King's forehead in a gentle display of affection. It was curious really, how the reminder of his immortality and state of dismal existence so coaxed that desire to so beset his companion with that love he so held for Dorian. The King was perhaps the one aspect of the world that so made him feel alive and he was desperate to so cling to it.
