Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

That memory lingered nearly forcefully upon his mind, how he used to so relish in the feel of that ice beneath his skates if only for the company he'd once kept. Those days, however blissful they were, were entirely short lived in more ways than one and for years after that whole affair he'd refused to even step foot upon that slick surface. Now, however, with the fae King at his side, Sebastian so attempted to reclaim those things tainted by that young woman, to bring some measure of happiness back to any future time spent upon that rink. It was only natural, he supposed, that those thoughts of her would impede, when she had been the only other being in which he had ever attempted to commit himself to. He continued, after a slight pause, pushing those thoughts away as he refocused upon his lover at his side, so attempting to explain his own experience and, therefor, skill with this very thing. His blue eyes focused upon that small quirk of Dorian's lip, all too aware that, whatever so crossed his lover's thoughts clearly amused him quite fiercely. It was only those words that left the King's lips that so saw that simper return to Sebastian's features, that tease so caused the vampire to shake his head. Ah - so it was that which had prompted such amusement!

He could hardly help the soft chuckle that left his lips, "If we stay out here long enough, you might have your wish!" He quite purposefully omitted the simple fact that he'd certainly fallen on this ice throughout the years far more times then even he could count, and likely would do so again in the future. That guise of utter grace was surely going to come to an end at some point, especially assuming the fae King had any desire to stay at his side for the infinite length of either of their lives. Such a concept, however, was particularly difficult for the vampire to comprehend - a singular soul with him for all eternity. It was this very thought that so lingered upon his own mind as Dorian saw fit to admit that he was quite assured Sebastian was the very definition of a 'good boyfriend'. Those two simple words had caught the Englishman off guard entirely, his heart quickening ever so slightly at the thoughts that shifted through his mind, thoughts of all the ways he had failed her and his assurances that his very being so clashed with that notion of a being a 'good boyfriend'. A weak simper crossed his features as he thanked the King before, quite quickly changing the topic altogether.

That question of trust and the hand he presented the King with was quickly embraced with the assurance that, cautiously, at least, Dorian was willing to so see this 'idea' through. It was with relative ease the vampire shifted his body and the direction of his skates, reaching forward to grab his lover's other hand before so pulling him across that ice much faster than Dorian surely would have ever dared to go on his own, much less even could. He was wholly aware of that initial rush of fear that rolled off of his lover, from the increased beating of his heart to that simple scent that so called to the predator within him and yet, as he continued without pause, that fear so seemed to settle into something else entirely - a feeling, he could only hope, was closer to excitement or enjoyment. He took his lover around that rink nearly twice before his ice pick dug into that ice, bringing him to an abrupt stop. Sebastian allowed the King's figure to so collide into his own, his own arms wrapping around Dorian's shoulders at the only slight impact, all the while aware of the fae's hands upon his waist. A rueful grin crossed his features as he glanced down at the man, so commenting in that breathless moment of how fun that idea had been.

That grin that so crossed Dorian's features and the words tumbled from his lips so coaxed genuine laughter from the vampire before his head bobbed. Sebastian hardly hesitated to take his lover around that rink several more times at his request, to increasing that speed ever so slightly to what he still deemed acceptably safe. After all, they still shared that rink with other skaters, he hardly wished them any peril either. It was but a while later that Sebastian stopped again in the center of that rink, that grin still nestled upon his features as Dorian so fished for his phone in his pockets, the vampire himself had become particularly used to those photographs his lover seemed to enjoy taking. The man hardly complained in the least, dragging Dorian closer to him to allow the King that picture he so desired. His own blue eyes danced over the face of that phone, his head bobbing ever so slightly at Dorian's comment. "I do not think the sport is that well known in Italy." He responded, quite willing to allow Dorian to so enjoy sharing all that he had seen and learned with his home country.

Nevertheless, the vampire followed his companion as they glided back towards that opening in the rink wall, before settling on those benches, a soft sound so leaving the Englishman's lips. It had been far too long since he had done this. His body would surely feel it tomorrow. He paused for a moment, simply leaning back on his hands to inhale that cold air of winter before he bothered with so unfastening his own skates, clipping those blade protectors back on both pairs before letting them dangle nonchalantly within his fingers. That soft peck upon his jawline so dragged his attention back towards his lover, before the vampire offered the King a small nodd. "They will, you're not used to it, I'd forgotten what it feels like." He uttered in response, that physical activity certainly had a way of being exhausting, even to the fit undead creature. It was that gesture, however, that drew his gaze towards the large Ferris Wheel that loomed over them, his eyebrow raising ever so slightly at the King's request. "London's Eye?" He inquired, the corner of his lips twitching downward ever so slightly, as he reached over, raising the jacket of his left wrist to so view that watch settled there. "...I think so.." He commented, so contemplating the time it would take to get them up through the line and on the observational wheel itself.

He rose, his free hand lacing between Dorian's fingertips as he led the King towards the base of that wheel. The line had hardly died down, despite the late hour and yet, Sebastian was more than willing to pay the extra cost to purchase the tickets to skip it all together. It wasn't much longer till the pair were ushered into one of those large capsules before handed complimentary mugs of warm hot cocoa. A warm simper crossed the vampire's features as he led Dorian further into that capsule, leaning momentarily against the rail as he blew on that cup and the liquid within. "Once we get higher, you can see Lancaster...and Big Ben, and the Palace." He glanced over at his companion, all too aware that the sight of that palace hardly interested the King in the least. "You can see everything for forty kilometers, all the way to the airport." It was the best landmark he could give for the view that they would be afforded and yet, in truth, the vampire found himself entirely enjoying all the lights all the same as that capsule slowly began to inch forward and upward.
