Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Little angel go away, come again some other day.
The devil has my ear today.

"What's all this nobility nonsense?"

There was no noble reason to kill someone. There were only justifications for a dirty deed that often required justifications beyond all actualities. It was very difficult to explain ones reasons for murder; when done correctly, however, they are often accepted. Evidently, this vampire was not going to process whatever it was I had in mind to tell him about the disappearance of the notorious Frank. He wasn't going to want to hear just what I did to him, nor was he going to care about the sum of money I had received for completing my task. It gave me a sort of warm satisfaction, knowing that someone was upset about the death of the vampire who had nearly cost me a job, my life, and other...various things. I could see he believed that I had no good reason for killing his supposed friend, but the interaction was less than pleasing in that there was a hungry feline wanting dinner, and a couch with my name all over it.

"If you were as noble as you declare you are, you would have attempted this interaction differently considering your obvious years my superior. Nobility has nothing to do with the lump sum that his death provided," I started to say, drumming my fingers against my chin as if I was contemplating what actual reason I had to have killed Frank. "Let's be honest, yeah? There is no such thing as a noble reason to kill someone. Frank was a job, and I don't give a flying fuck about your supposed ideals. Move."

Clearly, he hadn't gotten the message that this was, infact, private property. I could see now that if he didn't leave, he was going to add me to a list of individuals that he might later use as a meal. Was I going to seriously become some vampires buffet? Ha, as if. He took a step towards me, indicating that by all means, he wasn't going to leave. I shook my head minutely, as if a verbal warning wasn't even necessary. He had it in mind to put up a fight? I wouldn't have minded giving him just that, had it not been the end of a long day with a lot of unwanted occurrences. Traffic, work, customers, and now this? Fuck that.

When his hand was outstretched to reach for my throat, I drew a deep breath to center myself with my eyes closed. Illusions were not my specialty; not yet. They took a lot of energy, time, and concentration. The latter? I wasn't sure I had enough of it, especially with the way my blood was beginning to boil at the audacity of the leech in front of me. Never the less, with my eyes shut, I felt magic rising to the surface instead of rage, allowing me to step outside of my body and leave an image of myself standing before him to be the object of his strangulation. The illusion was fed solely off of his indignation at my lack of a nobility, but also on my desire to get the fuck out of the interaction before he noticed that the illusion flickered almost like a hologram in front of his eyes. My door wasn't far, merely a few steps but if he noticed the flickering? He might be able to get there first.
