Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

he was both everything you could ever want
and nothing you could ever have

The vampire was hardly surprised that the appearance of those graceful dolphins had prompted within the fae King and unquenchable need to study every facet of their existence. The man seemed to be eternally jumping from one interest to the next in a fashion far more enthusiastic than Sebastian himself was ever capable of. Dorian had a way of losing himself within those affairs that so tugged at his mind, absorbing himself in them until those questions had been appeased and some measure of expertise upon the topic had been obtained. He had little doubt that, over the next few days, he would learn far more of those creatures than he had ever cared to in the first place and yet, this fact hardly bothered him in the slightest. The Englishman was entirely certain that he would have been content to learn of anything at all if it was the Italian Monarch so educating him. He could hardly help that simper upon his features as he too took a single glance back at that glass bottom boat and yet, Sebastian refused to allow those words of thanks to go without his own vocalized appreciation for that rare day under the light of the sun. Though the affection found from that gentle squeeze of his hand was entirely subtle, it still coaxed a simper upon his features, the vampire's head bobbed ever so slightly in the wake of Dorian's insistence that today was truly for the pair of them. It was a fact he could hardly argue.

With his fingers interlaced with Dorian's own, the vampire led the way off that boat and back onto that wooden pier. His gaze shifted over that seashore and yet any further ideas he might have held for their day upon the beach were interrupted by that touch of Dorian's fingers against his arm. That singular pink hue had a fashion of bothering the vampire in a way he had hardly expected, those fears of the sun returning with a near vengeance as his own fingers traced that spot over and over in a small display of his own unvoiced concerns. He knew well that Dorian would ensure that life still flowed through his veins and yet, for the first time, he found himself wondering if that was nearly enough. The fact that it was merely the beginnings of a sunburn were entirely lost upon the man. His own internal thoughts jumping to the worst possible conclusion in the fashion they so often did, even if he was so utterly unaware of that fact. Still, it was that inquiry of if there was anything left he wished to do that drew his gaze from that hue of pink, even if his fingers still persistently traced that small circle. Eventually, the vampire shook his head, instead making an effort to ensure there was nothing they were missing that Dorian might take interest in before he so gave into that longing for the sanctuary of the indoors.

In truth, he was rather relieved when the fae so agreed that he was quite satisfied with how their afternoon had been spent. He could hardly help that simper that crossed his features as Dorian admitted he could feel sand where there certainly shouldn't be. Still, even Sebastian could hardly help to admit that a shower certainly sounded heavenly, much less the idea of getting those wet clothes off of his figure. It was the mention of that guard, however, that drew a soft chuckle from the vampire's lips. "He is rather diligent about it." He admitted, entirely amused by that guard's earnestness to perform what he perceived his duty. Nevertheless, the man trailed after his lover back over that sand, that sand remained wholly content to stick to every part of his body that touched those soft dry granules. He was hardly concerned, really, on the state that vehicle would be in. After all, Sebastian fully had the means to see to it that car was exhaustively detailed. Even so, he appreciated the forethought his equally as dutiful manservant displayed in that moment as the pair were presented with towels. It was with diligent care that Sebastian brushed off as much sand as possible, the vampire eventually giving up on trying to wring that wetness from his white shirt, instead merely allowing that towel to drape over his shoulders as he slid into the vehicle after Dorian.

Sebastian was entirely unaware of that flow of life that the Monarch so consistently kept flowing within his veins. He was aware, naturally, of the fact that he was alive and indeed he could feel it when it waned but he remained largely oblivious of that steady flow or those little injections Dorian so offered him. In fact, the entirety of his attention was placed upon Charles voice as he was handed back his phone. His lips pressed together as he glanced over that rather extensive call log of missed calls, his eyes rolling ever so slightly. "It really is about bloody time, the man's lost the plot at least a decade ago." He muttered back towards Charles, that announcement of retirement surely explained those phone calls and yet, clearly his return to England had hardly been deemed necessary for such a thing as a retirement. That inquiry caused the vampire to shake his head ever so slightly, "No, just a royal announcement. They're acting like this is some great moment in history but, I suppose most don't remember a time when Her Majesty was not their Queen and Prince Philip was not at her side." A small shrug crossed his shoulders and though Sebastian was devoutly loyal to the crown, he failed to find the appeal of that hyped up media.

The politics of England, however, quickly paled in comparison to that evening he still intended to spend within the arms of his lover, the vampire settling back within his seat, his head nestled against Dorian's shoulder as a small yawn crossed his lips. Though that life that flowed through his veins had taken that vampiric need for sleep from him, it had hardly helped the way his mortal body felt almost tired in the wake of that afternoon spent within the sun - and vaguely hungry too now that he truly considered it. He said nothing on it though, knowing well such sensations would fade the moment that life left his veins and death settled in to once again take hold of him. In the meantime, he intended to enjoy those senses he had gone without for so terribly long.

The Witchery was hardly a long drive, the vehicle pausing nearly fifteen minutes later in front of that familiar stone building. A small simper settled on his lips as he retrieved that bedroom key from his manservant, sliding out of that car only to follow his lover back onto the sidewalk. He led the way into that building in the same fashion he'd done nearly a year ago - that night that the pair had first met. That smiling receptionist was met with a small nod, the woman remembered him enough from his rather long stay, enough so to greet him with that near standardized: 'Good Evening, Mr. Ellington.' He led the way down that familiar labyrinth of a hallway, his bright blue eyes glancing over his shoulder that fae as Dorian himself so reminisced upon their first evening together. He could hardly help that grin that crossed his features, his head shaking ever so slightly, "You could have stayed, you know. I would have taken you back home." Sebastian pointed out, pausing but a brief moment before adding, "I wouldn't let them change the sheets for nearly a week after that because they still smelled like you." He glanced back at his lover with a rather subtle hint of bashfulness all the same. Sebastian still wasn't used to quite admitted the extent of his feelings and the efforts he'd made for the King, even if he was assured Dorian knew his adoration for him all the same.

Nevertheless, the vampire ran that little plastic key though the slot, opening that door to that room that had been his for several months. Particularly little had changed - from the tiffany lamps to the sofa and the cold fireplace. Everything seemed exactly as it had been when he had lived here, without, naturally, those little hints of his own things. He gestured lightly for Dorian to step inside, so falling into that some routine he had all those years ago. After all, that evening had gone so particularly well, he saw little reason there couldn't be just a bit of deja vu, even if their physical intimacy had now gone far beyond those actions they'd taken that night.
