Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Nadya Tetradore

Nadya truly wished that one day her brother could understand her but perhaps growing up apart made that impossible. Perhaps that bond was broken the moment they were separated. It never seemed to matter what she said, he never believed her. The young woman could tell in his body language and the look in his eyes as she finally spilled everything that had plagued her even before his disappearance. He had made the efforts to make the Ark a safe place for them, that she saw, but it was the very members within the pack that made it impossible. She was tired of the dance and tiptoeing where the children and those in the Ark were concerned. That didn't seem to matter to him though. He would rather be upset at her for choosing to stay away.

Her lips tightened the moment he decided to bring up the twins. "It will never cease to matter what I say because it's my word against his who you always cared for more than me, even as children. You always chose him. I had a new power I had no control over and so did he. He provoked it just as much and I took precautions afterwards but guess what, they don't always work apparently." Her voice had begun to shake in frustration and hurt. As if she had chosen to have Tobias as a father. As if she had wanted her life turned upside down. As if she had wanted to lose her own life to care for babies. It hadn't been a choice to get pregnant but it had been against her morals to 'get rid of them' once it had happened.

"You act as if this is easy for me. As if I didn't stay up every night not knowing what to do...crying because either way I feel like I'm failing. You act like you don't believe that I can make this a good thing, like I can't help keep the Nightshade pack out of war by being there. Do you truly think that little of me? That I'm not worth enough for someone to love and so agree to a cease-fire?" Nadya may not be able to promise that Frost would change his ways with his demeanor towards others altogether. That was just who he is and due to the pieces of his past he had told her that hard exterior was warranted...just as she tried to deal with Aiden's constant hard exterior.

He acted as if it was so easy to disown her, both before and now as he waved her away and walked back down the hallway. Did he ever hurt over the decision? Did he ever feel as she did, like her heart was being shredded? "Fine, go, but it's your choice to disown me and your niece and nephew; I've never done so to you. I never would and never will stop following through on my end to keep the Nightshade from war at least." She wouldn't stop him. There was no use as she had never been able to get through his hard exterior before once he made his mind up about something. She could only follow him down the hall and wait for him to leave before slamming the door shut and so leaning her back against it gripping at her chest. It truly felt like her heart was being ripped from her chest and all she wanted to do was scream and cry. The twins however had stopped their play and were looking wide-eyed and uncertain at her. She couldn't lose it, not in front of them, so as always she was forced to suffer in silence to return to their side and soothe their worried looks from their faces.
