Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

When she glared at him and called him hopeless, he chuckled and moved in to nuzzle his face in the crook of her neck, leaving more kisses along her jawline.

"Only for you, baby. Only for you."

It was so easy to be affectionate with her the longer they were around each other. He remembered days when he would keep his guard up, always wondering what his next move should be. He was always cautious and trying not to get too attached cause he was immortal and you never know what might happen. But this was different. It felt different, and not just because she was pregnant with his child. She was beautiful and sexy and smart and witty and everything he could ever want in a woman. In a wife, even. He saw no one else but her now and he'd never had that before. It made him feel like he was glowing just to be around her.

When he mentioned feeding the baby, he must have hit a chord because she told him not to remind her because she wasn't even sure what it would eat. His expression softened with sympathy because he knew she was stressing and he reached up to delicately put a strand of hair behind her ear, planting a soft kiss on her ear lobe as he let his fingers trail gently down her cheek.

"You'll be a natural at it in no time, no matter what. We'll figure it out and the baby will be fat and healthy."

His eyes glowed with love every time he talked about the baby. He didn't know gender or even species but he knew one thing: that he was going to love every inch of it. He wasn't thinking about things like breast milk and what diet the baby would want because he knew somehow that everything would all work out. The world or fate or whatever wouldn't have gotten them this far just to fail, right? They were meant to have this baby and this baby was meant to live and that's all there was to it. He didn't care so much about Amelia feeding anymore. It was because of him that she started feeding on fresh blood anyway and not just any, his. A fairy's blood was potent and intoxicating for vampires but he found it intimate and even pleasurable to have her feed from him and he knew it wasn't because of mind control or anything like that. It was because he had grown to love every part of her, even the things he used to hate about all vampires.

She complained about the kind of blood the baby was craving and he nodded in understanding, his mind at work. If it was craving blood, did that mean it would be a vampire? Would it have no ties to him? His brow furrowed a little but he didn't want Amelia to know he was thinking about it so he smiled.

"You love it. And the offer's still on the table anytime you get a midnight craving for pickles and ice cream or something else crazy."

He loved just holding her and feeling the baby moving around inside of her. It was a peaceful moment, a moment when he knew everyone he loved was safe for once. When she started talking about her own weight, he chuckled and dared to nip teasingly at her neck.

"Stop that. You're beautiful, inside and out. You're not fat. The baby is just stretching your skin, nesting."

He used the same word she had with a playful smirk, his eyes twinkling.
