Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

aiden tetradore

The man was entirely unaware of the effect that simple promise had upon the young woman. After all, Tetradore himself only thought such a conclusion was natural, wasn't it? The further you got away from something, the more time that passed, the less you thought of that thing. After all, through those years of his own captivity he had considered his own family less and less, except, of course, when Risque drug those thoughts to the forefront of his mind. He thought of that vile woman with steadying infrequency as his own focus gravitated towards those businesses he ran and the pack life he found himself at the head of. Moving on was the natural order of things. His emerald eyes fluttered towards the woman at that idle statement that left her lips and yet, for the moment, Tetradore merely offered her a small shrug in response. He let that silence persist for several moments as he shoved the beginning of another cookie in his mouth. "Perhaps I do." The man commented as he swallowed that chocolatey goodness. Perhaps he knew exactly what thoughts and fears plagued her. Perhaps they were not all that different after all. Even so, Tetradore offered her hardly a word more, that simple hope met with a small shrug. She would learn in time, he was assured.

He let that conversation drift, hardly wanting to speak of that experience he held only for those inquiries to turn to that very thing he so wished to avoid. His time within captivity made up so much of his life that, he supposed, it was impossible to never speak of it. Even so, Tetradore was willing to try, offering the woman the tale of that fire that destroyed his life while so purposefully leaving out any of those details that might draw more questions from her. He could hardly say why he skirted those details of his life. After all, souls like her, like Vhalla, they were carefully positioned to truly understand all that he endured and yet, to admit that past was, perhaps to be viewed as weak. The Alpha could afford not even a hint of vulnerability. It was a fact he knew well if only for simple knowledge of how their world worked. The strongest survived and sat upon that very throne. It was a precarious position and those whom wanted the Ark were more than willing to circle like frenzied sharks for any way to unsettle that metaphorical crown upon his head. He doubted Mira wanted that position he held and yet, truly, could he rely on someone he'd hardly even spent a whole eight hours with his life story?

He hardly expected that what he did share of that tale might prompt such a reaction from the woman, that hand that reached out to him was far more tender in that simple touch than any he had ever been afforded before. His emerald eyes rested upon her hand before, slowly, trailing upwards towards her fair features. He said little in those tender moments as his vibrant gaze so inquisitively eying her, nor did the man pull away from the woman in the slightest. Whatever thoughts rested upon his mind, however, were interrupted by the sound of her voice as her fingers left his own, reaching up to tuck that stray strand behind his ear. That moment almost could have been intimate...almost, and yet, Tetradore was willing to simply allow it to pass as she nervously continued, inquiring as to who would do something so awful, that confusion over what drove them, however, merely prompted a small shrug from the man as he shifted slightly, changing his position. "Power, greed, lust....usually those are the top motivators." The answer seemed easy enough to him, after all, were those not the very reasons that Risque had wanted him? For the affinity he'd held, for that ability to make others suffer and, in turn, to have power over not one but two individuals. Understanding their reason was easy, getting out of their grasp was a whole different story.

Either way, Tetradore so effortlessly returned to that near eternal apathetic state he tended to exist within, changing the conversation to a different topic entirely. The offer of that apartment was, really, quite a beneficial exchange for them both. He needed a tenant and she needed a place to stay. The condo was far better than this place, a fact which Tetradore was willing enough to tease her of and yet, it was a choice that she needed to make and not one so imposed upon her, not with the history she had. He glanced up from those thoughts at her insistence that, not only did she owe him for his generosity, but that she intended to repay such a debt by taking him out for fun. The concept of such a thing was wholly lost on him, even as he agreed to it. Finding things fun was....difficult for a man whom had grown up without it. Sure, as a child he'd had fun but, somehow, those antics had been closed off to him in all he'd endured. How she was capable of such light hearted gaiety, he scarcely knew and yet, a part of him was assured she needed that perhaps as much as he might. That suggestion for tonight's festivities, however, was something he very much could do.

The man tentatively moved past the girl, careful not to touch her more then that brief moment they had shared. Rather the man focused entirely upon attempting to get that television to work. The remote itself was quickly abandoned when the thing failed to do much of anything at all, even when hit and yet, with a few fiddling of wires and pressing of buttons, that television slowly flickered to life. That exclamation of glee drew his emerald eyes from that television, the man entirely inclined to present the woman with a small simper before he inquired as to what she wished to watch, his attention dancing towards that stack of movies Samantha had left behind. He was hardly surprised, knowing her, that most were animated Disney movies. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly as his gaze landed upon that case that Mira mentioned, that image of a panther upon the cover was decidedly....fake and yet, he remembered this story....vaguely. As a child his mother used to pretend that they were the Bagheeras of the world and Tobias was their Mowgli, he couldn't help but to wonder if Tobi remembered that. A small frown pressed upon his lips but he was quick to chase the thought away, opening the case to pop the movie in the rather ancient looking dvd player. A few press of some buttons were all that was required before the familiar sounds of that disney logo began to play and, in turn, Tetradore was more than willing to retreat back to that fort, settling on his stomach at Mira's side.
