Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

He had not truly anticipated just how much he might simply miss home. Even when away for so little as two days. Such a thing might surely have been bearable had Sebastian been able to accompany him and yet the absence off his lover and too so being forced to spend his evenings in a hotel room alone had a fashion of seeing the Italian man near crave the familiarity of his home and the arms of his companion. There was something so utterly glorious and so blissfully peaceful about returning to that lavish mansion and those far more familiar faces and surroundings. It was foolish perhaps, yet a part of the Monarch still found those largely public outings to be stressful in some sense, especially without Sebastian's guidance of those modern activities. He was, now, largely capable on his own in most situations and yet a certain anxiety still managed to tug at him when it came to attempting to so flawlessly navigate the twenty first century in a fashion pleasing enough to earn him the support of a parliamentarian and without his lover to offer some explanation- if required- on those modern facets. As it was, the Monarch had found himself stumbling only once when he had so been invited to play golf with the man he was attempting to appeal to. Golf, he had learned, was so considered something of a gentleman's game and yet he had never so much as seen a golf ball let alone played the sport. Dorian so fortunately saved by his security teams argument that the Country Club did not possess sufficient enough security to allow him to attend.

A ready sigh fell from his lips as he all but dismissed such thoughts, Dorian refusing to dwell upon them now as he strode out and into that garden. That summer evening was pleasantly warm, even that light breeze so managing to hold a touch of heat to it in a manner the man found entirely pleasing as he made his way towards those horses. It took truly little effort to mount that fence, seating himself atop the railing as those animals made their way towards him in some anticipation of a treat no doubt and yet Dorian so found he hardly minded their hopeful optimism. His hands reached out towards the ebony stallion he called his own, letting his palm rub across the horses head before reaching up to scratch behind its ear with affection, those mares trailing in behind with eagerness for their own attention. It was that curious pricking of their ears however, that perhaps wholly gave away the vampire Dorian might surely have otherwise never known had slipped silently out into that garden behind him. The Monarch allowed those Italian words to increase in volume in a clear awareness now of his lovers presence, though for how long the vampire had been there he hardly knew, Dorian utterly unable to prevent that warm simper that traced his lips now. It felt as if he had waited an eternity for this!

It was barely a moment later that Sebastian's arms surrounded him, wrapping about his waist and drawing him close, Dorian leaning easily back into his companion's chest in a manner that wholly welcomed that embrace. Sebastian's lips pressed to his cheek then, that grin only widening at that affectionate touch before the vampire offered those murmured words, Dorian chuckling softly, that reply upon his lips before Sebastian so suddenly reached out. That look of bemusement readily adorned his features then, Dorian wholly curious as to the man's intent as his boyfriend so reached up to gently turn his face towards him. It took several moments before the Fae was given to realize just what his lover seemed to be eyeing, Dorian so momentarily appearing almost sheepish as his own hand lifted slightly to run along that unusually prickly surface of his skin. It was entirely likely that the vampire had never seen him unshaven in any sense, after all, it was rarely appropriate for a Monarch to appear 'scruffy' and yet those past few days had seen something of a slip in his usual decorum. His lips parted once more to offer some explanation of that look only to be beaten by Sebastian's own words. The vampire declaring his meeting to have either been very busy or very bad- his attempt at that reply stolen just as all the others had been and yet this embrace he welcomed all-too readily.

That kiss was entirely sweet, that utter adoration so easily felt and dually returned. He had been denied both this taste and even the scent of his lover for far too long, Dorian assured he could not nearly get enough of either as he only deepened that kiss then. Sebastian's mere presence tonight after two days without him was near wholly arousing on its own, Dorian pressing only closer in that moment as if that alone might so assure the vampire of just how much he had missed him before so at last allowing himself to draw away. Sebastian skin had been entirely warm from that shower, the men smelling of soap and water and home in a way that saw that warm simper remain upon his lips. It was easy then to lean back into the vampire once more, so forcing Sebastian's arms to remain about him in that fashion adored and wholly craved. Dorian glancing upward slightly as he at last offered those words to fill Sebastian in on just what he had missed.

"My meetings were uneventful and for the most part unspeakably dull. I did however, manage to achieve Senator Morgan's vote should it come to it. I met his wife and his three children and we shared lunch and dinner together. I fear though you need teach me how to play golf. I was invited to do as such this morning."

That soft scowl upon his features then surely displayed just what the Monarch had so thought of that idea and yet, he supposed, if this was the game men now played in those social circles he would surely need learn it. How unfortunate it had not been tennis or some other game he was already familiar with. Such thoughts however were readily dismissed as that hand lifted once more to brush against his own cheek.

"This however, is the result of my forgetting to pack my razor. I fear you might need to put up with it for one evening in the least, unless you mind it terribly?"

Those silver-hued eyes glanced upward once more, his own head turning to meet Sebastian' gaze. Dorian wholly oblivious to the delight his lover had already found in that newly sported look, the Monarch only then so seeming to remember just what else upon his figure was new. The Fae King so leaned readily forward once more then, Dorian shifting his position atop that fence as he turned to face his lover now, affording Sebastian a view of that entirely new outfit he had been gifted. After all, it was the opinion of his boyfriend alone that mattered in these things. Dorian assured he should never wear it again if it displeased the vampire in any sense even despite the pleasantness he had found in the feel of the breeze against his bare shoulders.

"What do you think of this outfit? It was gifted to me while I was away by Jean-Pierre, he is organising Paris fashion week and I am told this is the new, how you say? Look? I am not assured it would be suitable in a formal setting nor why it is so this jacket has no sleeves but I do like the feel of it."

His gaze fluttered away from his own arms then, resting once more upon the blue of Sebastian's own in search of some indication of just how the vampire so felt about this new look entirely, Dorian sitting but a little more upright upon that fence if only to so better display that new clothing, amusement clear upon his features all the same. He was so hardly capable however of allowing even that small distance to so exist between his Consort and himself for too terribly long, not after so long apart! Dorian so readily reaching out to tug Sebastian back against him, his lips pressing softly to the man's jaw in an almost teasing press before finding his lips again for several short, almost fluttering kisses that were wholly playful in nature. His arms draped easily atop his lovers shoulders then.

"Do you have but any idea how much I missed you?"

Those words were entirely soft, that simple unfiltered emotion so laced within them. Dorian so utterly delighted to be within his companion's arms once more, the Monarch having desired nothing but in all that time.
