Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Those hazel eyes stared up at that man behind her with a sense of glee. She was happy for him. He deserved to have something quite like this! After all, she'd seen the inside of his apartment. She'd come across those men who were content to chase him. She'd seen the jobs he'd taken that made him miserable just for a few dollars. She'd seen him steal and she'd seen him pay everything he had in his wallet just for ornaments for their slanted Christmas tree all those many months ago. Abigail had seen so much of his life. She'd seen so much of the man that her bestest best friend was and she was ecstatic he was finally getting something good in his life! A soft chirp left her lips as Arlo used his arm to wipe away that sudden stinging in his eyes and innately, the girl knew well he was considering all he could do with that sheer amount of money that now belonged to him. She couldn't help but to wonder what sort of life he would carve for himself with that. Then again, Abigail certainly didn't know what SHE would do with that kind of money either! It was just too much! It was probably better Arlo had it rather than her. In fact, she was only just beginning to consider how overwhelming it was to have that much money when the man near pulled her into his arms, insisting that he owed her something too. Her?! Ha!

Still, Abigail did suppose there was something she wanted...and it wouldn't take any of his newly discovered money too. It was silly, she knew it was silly but that store near her home was SO BIG! It was like the biggest store she'd ever seen and there was always so many people and so much food and she wanted to go inside but it was all so overwhelming so, for the past six months, the girl had taken to getting whatever she could get at any of those super tiny neighborhood stores because there was hardly anyone in those and...well, the whole idea just got a bit too exciting. She was getting carried away. Besides - what if he didn't want to go to the store with her? Or what if he thought her store wants were stupid? Abby considered this for a moment as Arlo placed her fluffy form back on that table only to quickly grab that keyboard and slide it in front of her. This whole thing just was too stressful to ask a favor! She never asked people favors. You weren't supposed to do that! Her hazel eyes glanced upwards at him and that near expectant gaze he gave her, the girl almost unable to resist it. He just looked so...ready! Okay! Here goes!

Her little claws reached out to type those three simple words on the keyboard and, in turn, upon the screen. She eyed them almost wearily before the girl glanced backwards towards the man. He seemed...confused. Was a really odd request?! What kind of places did girls usually ask him to go to?! She hadn't considered that he might think she wanted to own the store! What she was aware of, however, was that near look of understanding that had a way of brightening his features as he finally asked if she wanted to go there. Her head bobbed almost a bit too eagerly only to still quite suddenly at that frown that marred his lips. Uh oh. What did that look mean? Did that mean he couldn't go to the giant fruit-porium with her? Was he going to abandon her with all those scary people by herself?! Not to mention all those fruits she hadn't even tried or heard of before! How would she know what to choose without him?!?! Quite as suddenly as that frown crossed his features, it seemed to vanish entirely before he declared that he would willingly take her if she wanted to go. She could hardly help that near beam that crossed even her little panda features, her mouth parting only for a high pitched purr like sound to echo from her throat. Yayyyy!!!

Abigail's attention darted to the screen as the man logged out of that account, closing those many pages they'd stumbled upon only to tuck that password that was now his very livelihood back into that box. That thing was super important now! It held her cactus AND lots and lots and lots and lots of money! That grimace that suddenly touched his features hardly went ignored however, her own head tilted to the side as she watched the man tuck that box under his arm only to declare they should leave the magical book place. Aww, she'd hardly had a chance to look around! She was so going to come back. Maybe tomorrow. Definitely tomorrow. Still, she hardly hesitated long to scamper up his arm and settle upon his shoulder once again. Her little body curled around his neck, her tail completing that infinity scarf as Arlo flicked that hood up and over her form. Stealth levels? 9999! That soft brush of his hand against her fur caused her head to near nuzzle into that touch, that purr softly reverberated from within her chest, even as they passed the stare of that Librarian.

The girl chirped almost innately at the sound of her nickname before all such sounds stopped abruptly from her lips at the suggestion of being taken home. Oh God. Uh oh. That was awful. What if he saw her house?! What if he expected her to...well...she wasn't sure! Maybe he thought she had some sort of human!? Oh no! She wasn't ready to tell him what she was yet! She hadn't even begun to psych herself up for that after all these months! Plus she hadn't gotten him a gift yet to say she was sorry! There was so much she HADN'T done yet! That follow-up question on whether or not she had someone to take care of her, however, was far more easy to answer. Of course she had someone to take care of her! She had Arlo! Duh! Her head softly butted into the man's cheek before her tongue licked playfully against his skin in an effort to inform him of this very thing. Still, he was right, it was getting late. Thankfully she didn't have class tomorrow but...she did have to study....then again, if the internet was to be believed, her bestie couldn't be out in the daylight either and she hardly wanted to risk him getting caught in the sunrise! She wasn't sure what happened if he did but the internet had been certain to make her believe it was not good. The girl considered it for a moment before her nose lightly touched his left hand. Yes. They would go back to his place and she'd tuck her bestie in where he could be all kinds of safe and then maybe she'd head home and collapse into bed or...something. She was awfully tired. Her mouth parted in a yawn, revealing those tiny little teeths before the girl settled back upon his shoulder, laying her head close to his neck. This was a rather comfy place...
