Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It had hardly taken long at all, truly, even if he had so never once made mention of it- for Dorian to note the very fact that being liked, or in the least well thought of, was of distinct importance to his lover. He could hardly blame the vampire in any sense, after all, Dorian himself surely harboured much those same desires when it came to those important to Sebastian. He had positively tied himself in knots with worry upon meeting Giles and Elaine that first day even if he had attempted to maintain but every inch of his composure. It had hardly mattered to the Monarch that such beings were not truly Sebastian's real parents, the very fact that they held a substantial role in his lovers life was all the Fae King had so truly needed to find himself utterly determined to make a good impression. After all, the opinions of people so important to Sebastian had surely been greatly valued by his lover. Dorian thereby seeking to appeal to them in a fashion he knew well Sebastian himself made but every effort too in Matteo's presence and indeed undoubtedly would before Alexander. First impressions mattered after all, it was quite simply the way they had both been raised to understand. Sebastian's very importance to himself so finding the Monarch desiring others to like the vampire in turn. After all, this was the very man he was to marry! Dorian quite assured it was positively a crime for anyone not to like him even if he knew well the impracticality of such thoughts. Dorian so attempting to offer that assurance all the same, one Sebastian seemed to near readily see through with that almost dubious look that so stirred a simper of amusement to his own lips in turn before that near unfailing politeness prompted the vampire to agree.

It was that very mention of the royal wedding however, one that had come before their own, that so readily seemed to ensnare his curiosity. His own features wrinkled but slightly in that consideration then before the Monarch so inquired after those pictures and whether or not they might be able to see them. After all, such an affair must have been terribly grand! Dorian entirely curious too of how a modern wedding might be undertaken, the man having little knowledge of it in any sense. Sebastian's assertion that an entire video existed so readily saw his eyes lift upward in surprise. The notion of videoing and the manner in which they appeared upon the television still something of a glorious phenomenon to him. The Monarch momentarily considering whether or not his and Sebastian's own wedding would be upon that picture box. Dorian so hardly oblivious to the notion that their ceremony would be the event of the social season. Though whether this was deemed worthy of appearing upon that screen he hardly knew. The Monarch's attention so returned to his lover then at the idea of seeing that film.

"I should like to see this, I think. Things were very different in my time, if anything I should like to see how they have changed and what I might expect at our own. I have not been to a wedding since my Brother Frederick's in fourteen seventy eight."

Such an affair having resulted in a rather ill-fated marriage at that. Frederick's wife having died merely two years later in childbirth, Dorian so barely able to remember her at all though their daughter had survived to eventually be married herself. The Monarch wholly unaware of anything that had become of that extended family. Such thoughts were perhaps thankfully near readily dismissed by Sebastian's assurance that they would work out that wedding all the same, no matter how long it might take. That warm simper returned to his lips with just those words before thoughts of that rather pleasant holiday they might take away from the eyes of the Press and the world at large so seemed to only further that delight. That plan Sebastian had hinted at all along wholly clear to him now. It was the very thought of that crowd so surely waiting with anticipation in that well-lit home however that saw that gently sigh fall from his own lips. Dorian assured they need inform them all of that news before that suspense did them all any harm. His own fingers interwove with his companions. Dorian at last easing himself from his lovers lap, the Monarch in no true hurry to reach that home. Indeed, there was something so peaceful in that quiet that had found themselves within amongst those gardens. The man near reluctant to leave it even despite his want to share that news.

His attention shifted but briefly to that piano then. The Monarch utterly unwilling to see any damage come to such an exquisite instrument, that ever present threat of rain so cause for concern even despite Sebastian's assurance it hardly appeared as if it might rain tonight. Dorian assured England, as a nation, was forever being rained upon. His own fingers traced that surface once more as Sebastian blew out those small candles, that simple suggestion that such a piano might look pleasant in one of his own palaces stirring that surprise to his features once more. The Fae King entirely contemplative for a moment before his head simply bobbed. The idea of keeping such an object within one of his own homes truly pleasing.

"I think I might have just the room for it too, in Turin. Caserta has your Bernard after all."

The utter delight his fiancé had taken in discovering that near ancient Piano upon their last trip to Italy had hardly been forgotten. Matteo so having restored that instrument entirely for Sebastian alone until it stood as gloriously as it had ever been. Several photos of Sebastian working to tune it adorning their mantel at home. Dorian so moved to lead the way then back through that garden and towards that main house. The foyer itself was near empty and yet, as Sebastian moved to take that lead into that main room of the home even Dorian was near entirely aware of that gathering of beings within. The room was near tense with anticipation, those servants and house staff seeming quite unsure of just which reaction they should embrace as Sebastian and himself stood within that doorway. Dorian quite unable to prevent that simper finding his features, the man offering his lover that final glance before announcing that good news itself, much to the utter delight of the staff. A soft chuckle rose from within him then, several of those staff members hurrying forward to congratulate them and shake Sebastian's hands. Those staff so affording Dorian himself those polite bows before that utterance of his name saw his attention shift. His silver-gaze resting upon his Father.

There was something so terribly important about Matteo and too- Alexanders presence in that moment. Dorian hardly assured just why he had so desired to see them and yet that they had taken up Sebastian's invitation was distinctly meaningful. This, after all, was the first true occasion near any member of his family had ever attended. That offer of congratulations from the Frenchman saw those words of thanks rise to his own lips as Dorian reached for his hand in turn- only to find himself abruptly pulled into that embrace. His Father never having hugged him in near all the centuries he could remember. Indeed, outside of Sebastian himself the Fae King was rarely ever touched in any fashion at all. The simple shock of it surely clear upon his face and yet how easily that emotion so returned to the surface in the wake of it! Dorian finding himself quite without words before Sebastian was offered that same embrace. Dorian left near dumbfounded a second time as his gaze lifted to Sebastian's own. That shared look of curiosity no sooner offered then Alexander took that opportunity to approach. The Fae King so working hurriedly to compose himself in his Godfathers presence, that smile returned to his lips at the sight of the man he had taken such a liking too.

"Thank you Alexander and thank you for coming it....means a lot that you did."

That sincerity was surely abundantly clear within his voice, Dorian quite unsure how to express just how pleased he was that the pair had made that trip. The Monarch near assured the Hunter had....smiled at him in that moment. Fleeting though it was before his gaze fell to Sebastian. This so evidently an evening for all manner of shocking things. That sudden assertion from the Hunter that Sebastian would surely take care of him prompting that final look of surprise, such words from the man almost....fatherly in a fashion. Dorian so hardly having anticipated it and yet that warm smile seemed to find him all the same in the wake of it. Alexander offering Sebastian much the same congratulations before declaring he need prevent Matteo enjoying that champagne too much. Such a curious pair they were! That passing tray of champagne readily saw Dorian reach for his own glass in turn, that taste utterly thrilling. Champagne, he was sure, was a glorious invention and one his own time had so unfortunately lacked. Several more of those house staff approaching then to offer those words of congratulations, Dorian content to meet each of them good-naturedly.

"Your staff are very fond of you, Mon Cher. As it seems are mine, I am quite assured that little dark-haired girl is from Caserta."

His hand lifted then to gesture to the little Fae girl still clutching her treasured camera, her face near flushing bright red any time anyone spoke to her. The girl notoriously shy and yet it was that simple unobtrusiveness that made her such a grand photographer in turn. Dorian entirely sure several candid shots of that proposal had surely been taken. His gaze returned to his lover then.

"Matteo seemed rather delighted this evening though didn't he? I....can't remember him ever hugging anyone. I am quite sure Alexander liked you too."

His hand so gently squeezed his lovers then, that simper upon his features. The Fae wholly willing to embrace that little party of sorts for several hours until those staff begun to excuse themselves to retire for the evening or attend to their tasks. Dorian not unwilling to admit that bed had begun to sound truly wonderful. The Monarch so having been up but all day and nearly all night in turn and so without that flaring life his lover had embraced. The use of that power surely adding to his own tiredness in that moment. Dorian paused only to see Matteo and Alexander once more before they departed. That house so finally quiet once more as they made their way back upstairs and to that bedroom. The Fae all but collapsed onto that bed then, that simper still upon his lips as his fingers reached to unbutton that shirt and shrug it from his figure. His shoes, socks and pants following a moment later to leave him in those boxer shorts he so often slept within, his gaze content to linger upon Sebastian as he undressed in turn. Those quiet words offered then.

"Do you know, Matteo bought several cases of your wine? I think he rather likes it. He said he would check in on Maxwell too for us, even though I am assured he is quite safe with Charles and Elizabeth. I hope they are remembering his bowtie when they walk him, I won't have him under-dressed near the other dogs."

It was silly, he was sure and yet Dorian so hardly found he minded to admit such things to his lover. The Monarch's utter adoration for that puppy Sebastian had brought home several weeks ago readily known. His own form shifted closer to the vampire then as Sebastian found his place in that bed. Dorian leaning over to allow his lips to press to the mans own in that sweet kiss. His finger so toying with that newfound ring as he did.

"Thank you for everything today, Bastian. All of it. I cannot wait to be your husband."
