Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

The blades of darkness were a curious thing, her mind contemplated the multiple uses of them in the brief moment she inspected the weapons. As Dorian released his hold on them she gave a small sigh and leaned back into the damp grass, her elbows resting casually behind her. "I do agree with you Dorian, candy is delightful. Especially chocolate," she announces, offering him a faint smile. "I've never had Beef Wellington before, it sounds... fancy. Too fancy for my liking," a lie, she assassin loved all things expensive and fancy. Though it was something the faerie king had no notion of, at least not yet.

Clasping a hand over her grumbling stomach, she frowns at the noise before launching into her story about firestorms and destruction. Something she was not proud of, something she feared more than anything else; with the exception of Ivan. As she finishes, a dark cloud settles over her as she lays there, remembering that night with absolute clarity she's only drawn out of her dark thoughts when the touch of Dorian hand has her flinching. She's tempted to pull away but instead, her blue eyes shift to him, watching him curiously. Surprising even herself, she shifts her hand to give him a small squeeze of thanks.

He was a good person.

Something she could never claim, not in a million years. Sighing heavily, she shakes off the feeling of depression and settles on her side to face the faerie man. As their conversation turns to something more light hearted, she chews on her bottom lip in contemplation, "That makes sense, I never thought of it like that. It's true, during my... outbursts I felt exhausted but my magic never calmed down, it was as if there was no end to it," she shudders at the memory. If she had let it, it probably would have consumed her. Pushing the thought away, she brings a hand up to rub at her arm where goosebumps had risen to the surface.

Shaking her head at Dorian's question, she pulls herself to a standing position, wiping off her pants before extending a hand down to the king, "No, I think I'm done for the day. I'm hungry," she states simply waiting for Dorian to stand next to her. "I think I want to go get some food and have some time to think things over. This was helpful Dorian," she states, a thank you in itself. "If you're alright with it, can I call on you again for help?" she asks a bit hesitantly, turning away from him she he couldn't see how difficult it was for her to ask him.

"I, uh, thanks Dorian."

"I have to go, duty calls," she states with a grim smile. Extending her hand for a handshake, she waits patiently for him to take it before she turns on a heel and wanders away, waving her hand over her shoulder in goodbye.
