Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

He could hardly deny in any sense that Emma was a truly thorough PA. The woman was nothing if not dedicated to her work. Dorian assured she spent far more of her time organising his life then she did her own and yet, he supposed, the girl seemed to take a great sense of satisfaction from her job. How anyone could be so dedicated to such a thing he hardly knew. Dorian often inclined to wonder whether or not the young woman had a suitor for herself, though when on earth she might be given to spend any time with him he could hardly fathom. Surely though, she had not scarified the chance of a relationship for her work? Dorian quite unable to imagine his life without Sebastian in any sense, at least, not now that he had found him. Those years that had come before him hardly worth remembering in any sense he was assured. Dorian chuckling softly at his Consorts contemplation of just that thoroughness that Emma was sure to subject them too within the next half an hour, the Monarch entirely anticipating the ringing of every phone in the house just as Sebastian suggested the moment she discovered he had made himself unreachable. Surely, though, surely, she would know he had done it on purpose. Dorian content to simply shake his head before slumping into that chair. The Monarch, for once, hardly worried about posture or appearance. That hot chocolate stirring that warm simper to his face as that glorious taste found his lips, the warm mug balanced upon his chest as his legs pressed against his lovers own in that much needed touch.

That simple inquiry of Sebastian's guest list readily saw that look of near pleasant surprise touch his features at that assurance it was completed. Dorian wholly content to allow that grin to dance upon his lips in response. How pleased that wedding co-ordinator would be to hear of those finalisations! Those plans so capable of progressing even further now and yet the sheer number of guests that were attending that ceremony alone was near daunting. Dorian hardly having considered the general public at large, after all, he had largely missed those other royal weddings of the world that had provided Sebastian that firsthand experience of just how exuberant the public were inclined to become as they lined the streets in their thousands. That idea that so many people might so desire to see either Sebastian or himself on that special day was still somewhat baffling to him. After all, the vast majority of beings would catch no more than a glimpse of them as they passed and yet, he supposed, the public had forever been largely fascinated by royalty. Even Dorian himself oblivious to just how large those crowds might prove to be on that given day.

It was that very consideration of that public at large that saw the man inform his Consort of those gifts that had already started to arrive even despite their not yet having been married, that soft chuckle rising within his throat at that look of disbelief upon the vampires features. Dorian wholly unaware of his lovers concern for the amount of thank you cards they might surely need to already begin amassing- another sip of that glorious chocolate taken then. That near impish look found his own features at the mention of the assistance he might surely require in going through those gifts that remained un-opened. After all, they were, he was sure- decidedly good at becoming hopelessly distracted when gifts of any kind were involved. The memories of that particular evening some of his most favoured to consider. That singular raised eyebrow he was afforded with saw the return of that chuckle, that declaration that he should hardly tempt the vampire inclined to see his own eyes lift just slightly, his shoulders offering that simply shrug as he regarded his lover- those words offered with a deliberate casual-ness as if they were hardly of any true importance.

"Frankly darling, I intend to tempt you at least once tonight and at least twice tomorrow- I have already decided I am not doing any work at all tomorrow evening and I quite look forward to telling you all about my newest idea- if you should care to hear it of course."

That impish look remained upon his features still at those playfully offered words, Dorian knowing entirely well that Sebastian eternally cared to hear his ideas. The both of them decidedly sensual beings in every sense of the word- that shared physical intimacy one of the Monarch's most favoured ways to spend an evening. Sebastian so equally able to be tempted into such things in a manner Dorian quite adored. The thoughts of enjoying that upcoming evening inclined to linger as he proposed that suggestion of choosing a date, such thoughts interrupted then by Maxwell's arrival. That playful puppy determined to have his pilfered sock acknowledged as he flung it wildly about, Dorian snatching up that free end to engage the canine in that game of tug. Sebastian's comment on that need for further toys seeing the man nod readily, Dorian inclined to offer that newfound knowledge he had acquired from several of those puppy care boys he had read with that assurance the puppy was probably teething. His head nodded resolutely then, that simper tugging at his lips.

"Yes, books. I have at least three of them. One of us had to be prepared. I should not like to raise him incorrectly. Besides, you know how I enjoy learning."

Dorian was, more often than not, entirely inclined to take the raising of Maxwell near as seriously he would a child. That puppy, perhaps, having become something of a fur-child in every sense of the word. Dorian hardly caring for what any other being outside of Sebastian might think of his determination to assure the very best of care for Maxwell in every sense. Sebastian returning them then to that topic of a date, the vampire's needs for darkness a consideration the Monarch was more than willing to meet. After all, while a spring or summer weeding might have been more pleasant the Fae King was utterly unwilling to have Sebastian miss but any off his own wedding. It was, after all, a day for them above all else. Dorian fully determined to assure their needs were met first. If the world at large was determined to be present for those nuptials in one way or another then the world could stay up for one night- of that he was assured. Dorian content to alleviate Sebastian's own worries over those crowds in the cold with that reminder Naples winters were nothing at all compared to the snow strewn evenings of England. The sheer amount of people sure to provide heat all the same. That look of worry that lingered upon his lovers features still seeing the Monarch press his legs against this companions own once more.

"Do not fret, love. Most people wear only a jacket on even the coldest evenings in Naples. Between the activity and the number of people lining those streets I do not think we need worry too much for them."

There was, he knew, decidedly little point in so reminding his lover that wedding was for them rather than the general public, Sebastian's ability to fret over others was near as predictable as the man's morning cup of tea. Dorian wholly willing to embrace the idea of a winter wedding all the same if only to assure Sebastian's comfort. After all, if the vampire would not fret for himself and his comfort Dorian was entirely inclined to do it for him. His fingers released that sock then, Maxwell bouncing toward Sebastian as if to display his victory while Dorian turned to that desk calendar to examine those days and ideal months. The Fae King offering those choices then before turning back to his lover to meet that ardent blue of his gaze. That soft assurance from Sebastian that he hardly minded which day they chose prompting that simper to his lips once more, the concern for those wedding invitations were they to choose February met with a firm nod. It would be utterly unthinkable to not provide that minimum three months etiquette dictated of them. Dorian momentarily pensive before turning back to that calendar once more. February was decidedly soon and yet those other dates were well over a year away. Dorian wholly inclined to consider how truly patient he could be.

"What about- February the tenth? It is a Saturday."

He offered then. Dorian holding truly little concern over that day of the week it might fall upon, Friday the only day in which the man quite refused to be married if only for the superstition that so surrounded that day. Italy sure to provide that nation with that following Monday as a public holiday in celebration. Those wedding invitations, now the guest list was complete, could easily be finalised this week. There was but one more decision to be made and yet, for now, Dorian was inclined to keep such a thought to himself until he had quite decided how to broach that subject of last names. Perhaps a little later this evening. The Monarch rose easily from that chair then, that finished mug of cocoa placed upon the desk before his fingers reached for Sebastian's own- his lovers hand taken within his own with that declaration he cared for this room no longer. Dorian hardly desiring Catalonia bear witness to that gift of sorts he intended to present his fiancé with. That assurance that sofa was far more comfortable prompting that soft sound of amusement from within him as he allowed Sebastian lead the way downstairs and into that gloriously warm living room. Maxwell hurrying at their heels in the sheer delight that apparently came with changing rooms.

That sofa was entirely welcomed. Dorian sinking into that plush leather, his hand releasing Sebastian's own only after he tugged that man down beside him. Dorian reaching into the pocket of his jeans. How long it had taken to have that terribly important token crafted! How many designs he had gone through! Dorian's heart entirely content to flutter all the same in that combination of nervousness and too that excited anticipation all at once. How important it was that Sebastian might like that gift! Dorian wholly aware of how that fluttering heart had surely given him away already before that singular little black velvet box was produced and held out to Sebastian in turn.

"I am sorry it took so long, Mon Cher. It took some time for them to make it as I requested. It is entirely up to you as to whether you should like to wear it now or wait until that wedding day."

Dorian had so ceased to remove his own even once since that night it had been given to him and yet the Monarch was entirely content in whatever choice Sebastian himself might make. Dorian lifting that lid now to display that wedding ring to the vampire at last. It was a subtle combination perhaps of both that simplicity Sebastian himself seemed to enjoy with those slightly more ornate details of Dorian himself. That band was crafted of a white gold made to look near silver upon the inside, that outside made entirely of gold and yet etched within that gold band with perfect precision and no small amount of delicate care existed those patterns made of fine lines and curves that travelled the length of that ring in a continued circle. That ring gloriously detailed and yet simple all the same- those details subtle and yet done with distinct care.

"I crafted those patterns myself."

He offered softly, that artistic touch decidedly clear before he reached to gently lift that golden ring from its place, turning it softly over to allow Sebastian to see that inside. Several small words crafted around the inside of that ring in that ornate and flowing script. That soft simper touched his lips then. Dorian offering that explanation even despite his lover's ability to read those words for himself.

"It says 'I love you' once in each language I know- just so you do not ever forget it."

Those words were so rarely uttered aloud by either of them yet that love existed all the same, Dorian content to assure Sebastian remembered it in English and Italian and Old Italian and Latin and Spanish and French. An eternal reassurance- for a being prone to worry.
