Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Henry kept his eyes focused out the balcony window, looking at everything and nothing in particular. The wind whipping through his hair made him at least feel enough to know that he was still alive in this moment. He would be lying if he said he had not thought about simply jumping from this balcony and allowing the wind to carry him to the earth. Henry hadn't been suicidal in many, many years, but it was in this moment that he wanted nothing more than to run from this moment.

And yet...something kept him on the balcony, behind the walls and safe: Sterling. He loved Sterling more than anything and he knew that if he simply left this world too early, Sterling would blame himself. And yet, it wasn't Sterling's fault at all. He loved Sterling and he wanted what was best for him. Unfortunately, he also felt completely guilty for all that had happened to Sterling and that was a tough pill for him to swallow.

He heard Sterling's voice carry itself over the sound of the wind and he sighed. He didn't turn to look at Sterling â€" he couldn't. "I need to think." He needed space. He needed to figure his shit out because it would eat him alive. He waited until he heard Sterling close the door behind him. He didn't expect him to go far, so after a few long and silent moments, he pushed himself off the bars of his balcony railing and turned to head inside.

Running a hand through his hair, he paused as he leaned himself against the wall. Eyes looked up at Sterling, but unable to draw eye contact. "I nearly killed you...I fucking did that to you!" He felt nothing short of guilt and regret â€" something he wasn't used to feeling. "How can you want me after that?" His voice was tender with that last statement, a testament to just how inadequate he felt. Sterling shouldn't want him. Sterling should want him as far away as possible so he didn't risk getting hurt again.
