Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

The continuation of her pounding headache persists and she's unable to shake the feeling away. Perhaps she should have drunk more water than coffee this morning, or perhaps... perhaps she just needed another drink. Sighing, she lifts a hand to rub at her temples, the sounds of car racing by only causing the girl to flinch, her ever worsening mood beginning to toy on her features. What was she doing? She was nothing but a void, unable to fill. Lifeless. Not even Tetradore wanted her because she was chained to Ivan. Biting the inside of her cheek, she drops her hand back to her pock, nestling her nose into that red scarf, eyes half lidded. Maybe she would return to her warehouse and sleep away the rest of the day.

She's drawn so abruptly from her moping that she almost doesn't see the woman beside her. Those trained senses kick in and she's stepping backwards to avoid the collision. Brows are raised as Vhalla turns her cool blue eyes on the woman regarding her dully. There was nothing left in the woman today, not even a smart remark can work its way through her plump lips. So, she turns away, until the girl's voice is resounding in her ears. Physically wincing at her voice, she snuggles deeper within that scarf, eyes darting back to her quickly.

Vhalla gives a small shrug, simply ignoring the apology altogether. The girl hadn't run into her, therefore there was no reason for her to apologize; at least the was Vhal's idea. When the stranger offers her name, the assassin is utterly quiet for a moment. She should just go back home, go sleep the hangover off, and yet, she found herself turning towards the girl, her expression cool though she extends a hand. "Vhalla," she states a touch quietly, afraid that her voice would send that pounding in her head to turn into pins and needles. Relieved when they don't, she releases another sigh, allowing her pale hand to slip back into her jacket pocket.

The crosswalk sign changes suddenly and the witch almost leaves the girl standing there, just so she can get across the street and head in the direction towards the West when Elain is speaking again. Once more, Vhalla cringes at her voice as she raises a hand to cut her off, "If I show you will you not talk so loud?" the assassin mutters, eyes closing briefly to stave off that pounding behind her eyelids. It takes a moment to get it under control before she peels her eyes open once more and takes a step away from the crosswalk and heading in the opposite direction stopping only briefly to glance at the girl, scowling lightly, "Well, are you coming?" Vhalla calls over her shoulder.

She waits just long enough for the girl to catch up before resuming her stroll down the street, her eyes tired, a bit dead. Vhalla walks in silence for the most part, not particularly caring if she was being rude or making the girl feel uncomfortable. At times, her gaze shifts to the store fronts, as those pretty little things sparkle in the sun and perhaps if she were feeling better she might wander in just to look closer. By the time they reach the corner of 180th Avenue, Vhal's headache is starting to reside. Blinking in relief, she pauses on the corner sweeping a hand across the little market, "Is this what you were looking for?" she asks, turning towards Elain, finally regarding the girl for the first time.

Blinking again, Vhal offers a small and tentative smile, "Do you mind if I join you? I have to get something anyways," she asks, the first real emotion she had shown the girl since their meeting.
