Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Abigail Hughes

The last thing Abigail had ever anticipated upon settling in front of that door was to be assaulted by that broom. Although she had held her reservations of the young human, she had intended to at least introduce herself to the woman. That was, however, until those bristles collided into her face. It was almost frantic, the way those claws scratched at that door, the panda altogether assured that Arlo would save her from what she was now certain was an altogether vial woman. Unfortunately for her, that vampire failed to play that role she'd cast him within, that broom quite near sideswiping her to knock her further into that apartment and away from her own perceived safety. It was that heavy collision that caused the young woman to scramble to her feet, launching herself as far from that offensive broom as possible. Her limbs seemed hardly nearly as willing to oblige her panic, her small frame slamming into that chair enough to topple it onto the ground with a rather loud bang. As it was, Abigail hardly bothered to look back as she scampered towards the kitchen, fully seeking that height that her instincts near demanded of her in those rare times of genuine fear.

She charged onwards over towards the counter, her ears flicking backwards against her head at that crash that followed. She was ignorant of that lamp being knocked to the ground, her claws instead digging into the side of the counter as she leaped onto it and upwards. She ducked as that broom followed in her wake, those books thudding behind her as she circled that kitchen in a headlong dash to the side of the refrigerator. Rather, it was with that cacophony of shattering glass that the panda found herself leaping upwards, her feet digging at the side of that plastic as she attempted to gain purchase before pulling herself upwards and on top of that refrigerator. Her heart was near pounding in her chest, her breath was quick as she slowly turned to face the young woman, putting her back as far in the corner as she could possibly manage. Damn those counters for being so low! She was only just too big to smoosh herself between the counter and the top of the fridge, although Abigail had fully considered attempting to be a pancake just for that. That shout caused her ears to flick and yet, the woman had hardly anticipated that onslaught of that broom.

It collided into her, sending the girl off balance and sweeping her off that fridge altogether. A squeal left the pandas lips as she fell, crashing into that floor to tumble several feet, that broom almost rough in it's treatment of her to send the small panda sliding with glass and broken pieces of that lamp into the living room. The young woman that so chased the sliding panda barreled after her, only for those socks and that slick wood floor to get the best of her. She watched as the woman slammed into the ground a mere foot ahead of her, those hazel eyes widened in fear and yet, there was hardly an escape option available for her. Abigail stepped backwards, entirely failing to consider the glass that surrounded her, those shards had joined her in that sweeping from the kitchen. It was a particularly large piece her front paw collided into, prompting a rather loud yelp from the girl, one that seemed to register some sense of awareness within the 'roommate'. That scream her cry of pain was answered with was wholly unexpected, much less that broom that was fetched in but moments after. For a moment, she had considered staying exactly where she was, that glass piece had cut far too deeply into the tender pad of her paw to prompt the girl any immediate desire to put any weight upon it and yet, the colliding of that broom into her was enough to cause her to scramble forward, leaving those bloodied prints within her wake.

That bathroom was perhaps the only natural means of escape, even though her poor head was hardly capable of the logical thought that being trapped in a small room was certainly not an escape. Rather, she slid across that tile, slamming into the edge of that porcelain tub enough to knock the wind out of her only for her to pivot to face that oncoming woman...oh god. She was trapped. There was nowhere to run, she was going to di -- the slam of that door between herself and Arlo's roommate entirely caught her off guard and yet, Abigail could hardly be more thankful. There was a soft pant upon her lips and yet, now that the immediate danger had diminished, her little system became all the more aware of that pain that coursed through her front paw. She needed to get the glass out...but first...she needed to find some kind of safety within that tiny bathroom. There was hardly a window she could leap through, the sink and it's lower drawers seemed far too confined for the girl. No...she needed to go up.

It was with some maneuvering that she pulled herself on top of the closed toilet, the small panda shifted to the larger part of the tank only to jump upwards with the intent to climb that cabinet that encased the mirror. There was a gap between the top of that cabinet and the ceiling - one just large enough to fit the small panda. In that moment of desperation, she hardly cared of the claw marks she'd left on those wooden cabinets in her effort to climb, or the small stains of her bloodied paw that marred that surface. All that mattered was her ability to tuck herself as far back into that dark little corner as possible. Maybe...just maybe...if she stayed quiet and hid long enough, they'd forget about the little panda. Maybe she could sneak out in the wee hours of the morning when everyone was asleep...anything to escape that place that had once been her second home of sorts. Those tears threatened to overwhelm the young woman as she turned her attention to her injuries, her whole body somehow ached from that weapon wielding broom. God, how she just wanted to go home.
