Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

If Nadya had been drinking or eating anything, she would have choked at Malia's naive exclamation of having to have sex with the doctor. "Oh dear lord no. It's all very...medical. It's a woman doctor and she just takes a look. There's no sex involved." Nadya shook her head with a gentle smile. "Don't worry, I'll take care of the arrangements. I'll leave a note on the fridge for you to let you know when to make sure to be here and I'll take you." As long as Malia could ensure coming home long enough for Nadya to take her to the doctor then she could make the appointment.

It was only too easy to switch topics to the children as once you have them that was really all anyone cared to ask after. "Pre-school is a long way before college. In the human world you have Pre-school until you're 5, Elementary school which is for about 6 years, Junior High which is 2-3 depending on the school, High school for 4 years, and then you get to college. It's a long process of education. They'll be in school for a long time before they get the freedom of college." Nadya chuckled softly. Oh how odd it was to think of them being that age. They were growing up too fast for her as it was. When she had to explain about the event with Micah though, the light vanished from her features. Her voice lowered, even though there was no one else home to hear them. She supposed she shouldn't have expected any other reaction from Malia. She wouldn't have heard the devastation a necromancer could do.

Cool? "Yes, no..." Nadya sighed, "I mean...it means he's powerful." That alone would make a mother proud. She shouldn't be surprised though seeing as, even though she didn't get along with Tobias he was a powerful individual and had he his right mind would be a force to reckon with. It was the ability Micah possessed that caused worry in her. "Necromancers, they don't heal or bring people back to life. The person or animal I guess in this case, it's still dead...there's no light in its eyes...but it does what the necromancer wants. In this case Micah seems to have just wanted to see it fly though it didn't seem to do a very good job at it. I didn't stick around to see how far it's wobbly flight took it. Necromancers are known for using armies of the dead to fight their wars. That doesn't exactly make the value of a soldier's life very high if they can just be stood right back up to continue to fight. It's like stealing someone's body. The dead should be allowed to rest in peace."

Nadya's fingers were drumming lightly against the countertop as she tried her best to explain. "I don't want him taken advantage of, you know? I don't want him to see no value in life if a war can just be fought with the fallen soldiers." She pondered another moment before speaking. "I think I'm going to find a witch who can bind his power...make it so he can't use it. He's too young and if anything happened...if someone got to him to use it for bad...I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. You wouldn't have made friends with any witches during your wanderings around town would you?"
