Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

we might as well just give in

Beeping? Why beeping?

Some part of my sleep clouded mind seemed to register this ridiculous sound while the rest of it struggled to actually make any sense of it as I rolled over, limbs still tangled in charcoal coloured sheets, one hand reaching absentmindedly for Kat in some attempt to turn her off. It was fortunate perhaps, that Kat had evidently already gotten up and gone for her run or to the gym, or whatever senseless form of exercise it was she had taken up- else my slapping her in some early morning belief she as an alarm clock would hardly have started our day off well. The empty space beside me managed to actually force the blue gold of my gaze open, mind still struggling to actually understand the situation. I didn't own an alarm clock and if Kat wasn't waking me up- then where the hell was that sound coming from? One hand lifted to run through the golden brown of my hair, leaving it sticking up in all directions as I half stumbled half fell out of bed, eyes finding the clock upon the wall as a knock at the door seemed to add itself to the orchestra that was now my home. Ten in the morning? Who the hell was up at ten in the morning? Shouldn't everyone still be asleep? What sort of place was the world becoming?! By some small miracle I actually managed to find my jeans, dragging them on while still searching for this erratic beeping, momentarily fiddling with the buttons of my phone before moving to exam what I believed may well have been a mutinous laptop- only to discovery both were off. How...was this happening?

Oh- the door.

I managed to half stumble, half amble out of the bedroom, bare feet padding softly across the heated marble of my floors, my new life as a Dark hunter (although I still remain in denial about that) fortunately having failed to affect me at all save for evidently adding better reflexes, extra physical fitness and increased speed and strength, my ability to appreciate nice things fortunately untouched as I actually managed to make it to the door and pull it open. Some part of me, I suppose, should have been able to detect 'witch' and yet my Hunter senses had so far failed to actually turn on in that regard, else they were permanently defective. It was hardly fair really, I'd only become more physically attractive and yet the price for this apparent ridiculous good looks was the fact save for humans or other hunters- every other woman seemed to rather suddenly become terrified of me. Hmm, I suppose it made maintain my sex life more of a challenge, I always did enjoy a challenge either way.

"Serika?"

To be honest I was rather impressed I managed to remember the girls name, having taken to assigning most women nicknames- if only to avoid that ever embarrassing inability to remember her given moniker and yet Serika had proven memorable in more ways then one, in fact, she was the only one of my personal staff I am entirely sure I never did manage to sleep with. What? I am a caring boss, I merely like to show great interest in my female staff and their...health and wellbeing. Even the mere thought managed to bring something of a smile to my lips before the blue gold of my gaze managed to rest on the woman before me entirely. After my....lets call it accident...Serika and I had gone our separate ways, after all I had very near dropped off the face of the earth while I recovered from...whatever the hell it was that happened to me, fortunate really that my own company truly cannot fire me- despite the fact I am assured they would dearly love to if not for the fact my rather pretty face is the reason behind so much of their success. What? I'm good at what I do- when I can be bothered to try. Either way I had actually made an appearance at the office again, returning to my regular duties which involved surprisingly little and yet it was fitting perhaps that with the return of some normalcy in my life that my PA would seek to return as well.

"You're a little early for work darling, you know I don't get up until at least four, this makes you six hours too early in fact and I-"

That beeping was still going, my mind seeming only now to seize on it once more, arms folding across my bare chest for the moment as I spun upon my heel. ADD always did result in something of a short attention span, pivoting away from the woman now in some search of that ridiculous sound, pausing only long enough to look back toward her once more.

"By all means come in- but shoes off, you know the rules."

I managed to flash the girl a grin all the same before striding back towards my bedroom in search of this mysterious and still going sound.....
