What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

While the blue-eyed blonde woman truly didn't know much about the two fae men that she'd just so happened to stumble across in the brief time that she had come to call this big city her home away from home, there was no denying that she was becoming increasingly fond of them. Ever since she'd met Dorian in Hyde Park that day when she'd decided to explore that little piece of home away from home, she had hardly thought of the kind man as more than a passing acquaintance and considered him more as a friend than anything else, and she wanted to get to know him more. She wasn't entirely sure just how possible that would be, considering the fact that she clearly couldn't just decide to come knocking on his door whenever she might be in the area what with the security detail and the clamoring photographers outside of those tall gates - not that the blue-eyed blonde really ever found herself anywhere near Acosta Heights. Dorian was the first being she'd ever known to hold such wealth, surrounded by luxuries that were practically unheard of in Willowhaven. He was the first that welcomed her into this unfamiliar world with a warm smile and willingness to assist her in that long and winding path to becoming a world-known artist one day. And, as things would turn out as she had only just become aware of today, he had been the first fae she'd met. In a strange way, it only seemed to make sense that the proper man was fae. He seemed so kind and yet as she had watched the exchanges between himself and Andras, the young woman couldn't be more certain that there was so much more to him than their first few hours together had shown. She could hardly forget how he'd reacted to the reacted to there hehe drinking fountain, but that easy smile of his always seemed to encourage for her own to grow a little more, become a little more radiant and bright. She only hoped that despite the status of royalty that he held so well, the man would perhaps want to solidify the beginnings of their friendship so that it could become ever stronger. She would understand if it just wasn't something that could last the passing of time, and he did have an unimaginable number of people that likely looked to him for so many things, but that didn't mean that the woman couldn't hope.

And, despite the clear pleasure Andras seemed to gain from weaving such outrageous stories about how it was that they had encountered one another, Beylani found herself drawn to him. Even as she shot him that defiant look that only seemed to encourage that deep and almost booming laughter that fell from his lips, she couldn't help seeing a part of the fae man that seemed to suggest his mischievous and teasing nature came only from a place of harmless intent. If he had wanted to be malicious, wouldn't he have already done so? It was hard for Beylani to shake the sense that he simply enjoyed getting a rise out of not only Dorian who'd nearly choked on his tea, but her as well when he'd seen how flustered his brash "humor" had made her when she immediately assured the shocked Dorian that she of all people would partake in such things. At least, not since she'd been young and foolish, caving beneath the peer pressure that had come from those she'd once been friends with. She wasn't perfect, after all. She's made her fair share of poor decisions, though perhaps not nearly as many as Jordan and Brittany had. Despite the defiance that rose in the blue-eyed blonde, she couldn't help but feel an ever so faint fondness for Andras beneath that bright intrigue currently tinged by that disbelief that he would say such wild things. There was so much about him that she didn't know, and yet she very much wanted to. He is quick to admit that his words had been false and teasing, but she was just as surprised when he so easily told Dorian the true nature of how they'd met, also assuring the other fae man that he'd remedies the matter of Beylani's victimized camera. Dorian seems to give Andras a look and his words directed towards the fae man have Beylani turning to give Andras a look as well that seemed to say without words "I told you so", remembering how that bravery had first found her when she'd been standing there before the man with those large bat-like wings having made him that much more intimidating and massive as he towered over the petite woman.

Content to leave that subject behind, there really being no room for Beylani to add anything further lest she bring up those conflicting thoughts and feelings she was still working on sorting through in regards to Andras, she takes another bite of that delicious pastry on her plate, her tea entirely gone now as she relishing in the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Baby blue eyes dance with amusement as the two fae men banter with one another over the use of cutlery, finding that she was entirely happy to be here with the two of them. She dares to think of whether or not there would be other moments like this for the trio, hopeful that just maybe there would be, before or after the wedding that Dorian surely had his hands full organizing and whatnot. The conversation then shifts to the wedding and when Dorian goes on to speak so fondly of the countryside, his words met with the woman's bright excitement at the idea of being able to explore a world she likely would never see but once in her lifetime, it is Andras who extends an offer to be her guide. Unbidden, she finds a warmth threatening to color her cheeks as she turns to the fae man and offers him a sweet smile."I'd like that. Thank you, Andras", she answers politely then. It made the most sense, really, and so the young woman thinks little to nothing more about the idea of the two of them wandering through Italy together. She certainly wasn't going to be able to navigate on her own if she could hardly find her way around Sacrosanct, her mind a certain that he was only being courteous and kind she couldn't even fathom that it might mean anything more than that. Besides, it would give her more time to learn those undiscovered parts of the fae man that she felt an odd, almost gravitational pull towards.

Doing her best to cope as she is catapulted into that truth she had hardly expected to be real rather than nothing beyond make believe, she is almost relieved when they seem to talk amongst the does she again to allow Beylani a chance to gather herself once more from all this new information that almost overwhelmed her. She glances between the two men as the name of a woman comes up. Samantha. She wonders briefly who this woman was, if she had also been fae or perhaps human... maybe even something else entirely. She is grateful for the distraction when she learns that Dorian had simply happened upon Sacrosanct, his words suggesting clearly that the man hadn't been searching for this particular city and a part of Beylani wants to ask him what it was that he had been looking for. She refrains for now though, deciding perhaps that she might be able to save that curiosity for another time if he would feel so inclined as to share such personal information with her, the blue-eyed blonde still trying to decide where that invisible line might be that she rest shouldn't dare to cross. Her attention is drawn to Dorian when he encourages Andras to meet those... leaders. Baby blue eyes widen when he offers warning about the two mysterious beings and Beylani decides then and there that she would be much better off to avoid these two men she didn't have faces to, which naturally would make it that much more difficult to avoid them. Though, she doubted that there wouldn't be some sort of warning that her instincts might be able to pick up on... Still she is silent until Andras poses that question for her, and she almost carefully chooses her words that only seemed to have the fae man once again amused as he gives her a devilish smile before cautioning her that not all fae were so kind - although she wasn't entirely sure that such a word was very fitting for Andras currently - and that many of them took after a more troublesome nature. Dorian readily agrees with Andras, offering his own words in regards to the conversation, leaving Beylani bewildered and yet it quickly dissolves as she reminds herself that it was not one's race that decided their nature entirely. Her own kind was perhaps the most perfect example of how one's race did not dictate a generic personality type, there being so many different individuals that classifying humans as bearing any type of common trait would be near impossible if one tried to.

Beylani turns to look once more at Andras as he chuckles richly in response to the young woman's naïve remark on how she'd imagined them smaller than human-sized. So pixies were real as well then? She feels her cheeks grow warm under that sheepish smile she offers the man then, his satin words turning towards Dorian in that familiar teasing note as he says that they would be adorable if only a few inches tall. She can't help the trickling note of laughter that falls from her own lips at Dorian's reply, clearly not wanting to imagine a world where he might stand no more than three or four inches tall, his own decisive comment on how he was ready adorable having Beylani's laughter still tumbling easily over her blush-colored lips as Dorian's own refined chuckle joins hers. It was incredible, the way that this afternoon has gone from casual to serious and finally melting into cheerful as the threesome seemed to enjoy the company of each other as the moments passed them by. Yes, she certainly hoped that there would be another day much like this one. So caught up in all that this day had been, Beylani almost doesn't realize the time until Dorian inquires of what she and Andras might have planned for the rest of the afternoon. Baby blues look around the room to find a clock, thankful that when she does discover one and that she was hardly late to return home and make that phone call to her mother that she'd promised the older woman yesterday, she returns her bright gaze to Dorian."Actually, I did promise my mother that I would call her mid-afternoon to arrange for their next visit to Sacrosanct. So I'd best be on my way. If you'll excuse me", she says softly before carefully moving to stand from her seat as she smiles warmly to Dorian."I truly had a wonderful time. I hope we can do this again in the near future, Dorian. Perhaps the three of us might be able to have dinner together next time? So that your fiancé can join us", she adds before brushing that he wrinkles from her dress. It is that that those baby blue depths find Andras' hazel gaze, lingering there for a moment."It was a pleasant surprise to see you again, Andras", she says with a small smile dancing upon her features. She hadn't expected to see him here today, but a part of her had been glad to see him again. Little did she know that this would hardly be the last time that they would find each other when she would least expect to..."I hope you two enjoy the rest of your day, and I hope to see you both again soon", she says at last before nodding politely to each of them in a way that she felt was likely that proper thing to do before she takes her leave, making her way to the front door where Charles offers the woman her jacket. Taking it from him with a quiet "thank you" she looks over her shoulder and back towards the hallway she'd come from, smiling softly to herself before exiting Dorian's home and begins that walk to her own small apartment.
