Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He had so hardly anticipated that query from Arlo on the very nature of Sebastian and his own ability to reproduce, nor whether or not the pair truly desired a family to begin with. Such a question so momentarily capturing the Fae off guard and yet too- Dorian so hardly found that question to terribly difficult to answer all the same. Perhaps once that very family was a near necessity. After all, within his own time the very purpose of a marriage, outside those political alliances was to facilitate the production of children, of heirs to continue a family and further it's wealth and holdings. A barren couple was all but ostracized by the community itself. Families were the done thing. The expected thing and yet- how very much the world had changed! Even those more traditional couples were no longer expected to produce a child unless they desired it, Sebastian and himself having all of eternity to desire that very thing. Dorian content to offer Arlo that very answer. He was hardly opposed to the idea of children in any sense. To raise a family with Sebastian would be nothing short of wonderful and yet there was simply no rush to achieve such things. He had spent near six centuries waiting to meet his soulmate, a part of him terribly inclined to merely enjoy his time with ust Sebastian alone before they made any further introductions to that family unit. Surely it was not a terribly thing for him to be but a little selfish in this? To desire Sebastian's full attention? To merely enjoy being a husband before being a father? They had but all the time in the world to make those decisions. Dorian, for now, wholly content in the way things were, that small tease offered at the end off his words all the same, his eyes rolling lightly at Sebastian's assurance to share him with the dog was hard enough.

He could hardly help the fashion in which his gaze so continued to linger upon his lover all the same in those moments, after all, it was not topic they had spoken off with one another. The Fae King wholly curious, perhaps, of Sebastian's thoughts on that matter. After all, if Sebastian so possessed that desire for family sooner rather than later then surely they would need speak on it more and so consider those options available to them- even if dorian himself so understood little outside of adoption. Those more modern techniques utterly unknown by the Monarch. Sebastian's soft admittance that he too was hardly opposed to that idea, if and when they were ready, only further prompted that warm simper to the Italian's lips. The both of them, it seemed, in simple agreement over that topic. Dorian rather assured, were they not in the presence of company, that he might well have kissed the man in that moment. The Monarch merely settling for meeting his gaze in that clear moment of agreement before Arlo strove to assure them they that would both make excellent parents in time. That soft chuckle rising within his throat.

"Thank you, Arlo."

Arlo's momentary assurance that Abby herself clearly needed to see Dorian's own father only prompted another playful roll of his own eyes. Matteo, he was sure, likely to take a great deal of delight from so being referred to as a model. So much so that Dorian was rather assured he might never tell the man of that compliment paid to him, although, truly, how on earth Arlo had seen a picture of Matteo he hardly knew. Perhaps Sebastian had mentioned. Dorian so allowing brushing aside such curiosities all the same in favour off that curiosity Abigail seemed to find in his own story and too that curious mention of beasts and roses. The Monarch quick to assure her their had been no stray beasts in his palace and that Sebastian had gifted him a carnation and not a rose, though how on earth the girl had known about the witches he had no idea. That bafflement clear on his features until Sebastian so assured him that she spoke of a story. A terribly aged one at that. Sebastian affording him that French title then, those words more readily understood then that english translation and yet he was not at all assured he knew it. Perhaps Matteo had kept such a tale from him if only for those very similarities. Dorian finding himself distinctly curious now before his lovers own promise to show it to him readily seemed to satisfy his own curiosity.

It was that sudden mention of a dog that seemed to grasp Abigail's attention then, the young woman clearly seeming delighted at the prospect of meeting the animal. Elizabeth and Charles having been charged, tonight, with so keeping Maxwell occupied during that dinner if only to prevent the puppy becoming overwhelmed with excitement in his usual fashion and creating a fuss about their guests. Dorian so making a note, next time, to assure the young woman might get to meet that very puppy as that warm grin found his lips once more, his head bobbing softly at those offered inquiries.

"Maxwell is our dog and he is indeed very nice. He has likely been put to bed now I fear but I am quite sure he would take delight in meeting you too."

Maxwell, he was sure, took delight in meeting almost everyone. Dorian's gaze shifted away from the young red-haired woman then and towards Arlo in turn, the vampire's sudden attempt to discover just how or why he seemed to attract other men distracting the entirety of the table at large. Even Dorian himself made little effort to hold back that ready laugher. Arlo growing only more irate as each of them offered those reason as to just what about the young vampire seemed to allure other man. This mention of the Backstreet Boys intriguing the Monarch in turn if only for his never having heard of them before. Although, it would seem, they had a terribly good time in those backstreets. Sebastian's assurance that he would show him later tonight readily bringing that simper to his lips. That very promise hardly missed. That almost scandalous suggestion readily apparent to Arlo and yet dear Abigail seemed wholly oblivious as Dorian merely allowed that chuckle to part his lips once more. His gaze returned to his lover then with that ready nod.

"See that you do."

He offered simply, that impish look so dancing upon his lips as Abigail assured Arlo she liked him just the way he was and Arlo, in turn, so queried Sebastian on whether or not he might suffer any ill effects of eating so much food when he had failed to do so for several years prior. Dorian himself near intrigued of that answer as dessert was offered. The Monarch content to assure Sebastian found particular delight in that final meal himself, after all, to watch another vampire eat without anything himself was surely terribly hard! Dorian inclined to assure Sebastian might find that added ingredient to his liking. It was only once those bowls too had been cleared that Arlo so made that mention of beginning that journey home. Dorian nodding readily as Abigail queried whether or not they might return. How pleasant it was to have company whom desired to dine with them again and to, whom Dorian himself would so willingly have back in turn! Abigail and Arlo by far his most favoured dinner guests to date. The pair a rather lovely couple even if they had not quite yet come to achieve that status of couple.

"I would gladly have you both to dinner again, you would be most welcomed anytime and thank you Arlo, I do not think I have ever been 'cool' before but I am largely pleased to have achieved this."

That ready grin found his lips all the same as he shifted to rise from that table and show his guests back toward the door, Dorian paused only at that sound of Charles hurrying across that entrance hall toward the group as Arlo paused to put his shoes back on. Perhaps Sebastian could take him to get new shoes too. His gaze glancing away from Arlo only to look near expectantly at Charles then as he handed those wedding invitations to Sebastian to offer to Arlo and Abby in turn before holding out that pen and paper to Arlo alone. Dorian himself so eyeing that paper in a clearly baffled fashion before the manservant so inquired as to whether or not he might have Arlo's autograph since he never had managed to get one from that concert he had attended those years ago. Dorian so struggling to prevent that chuckle from finding his lips once more. How bizarre it was to think of Charles at any sort of concert....
