Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He seems to contemplate my words for a few moments as I ask about the paths someone can take to become who they are. I'm not blaming him for being the way he is, I just want to understand why he made the choices he made to get to where he is. Maybe I'm being too nosy, who knows? I scowl again when he says that he would be okay with losing some parts, not sure if he's trying to lighten the mood by mentioning how he doesn't use a GPS. I tilt my head, innocent confusion obvious on my features once more.

"GPS?"

But I guess that can wait for another time and another explanation. It's probably a long one, anyway. I don't know what to think of the almost pained expression he gets when he sees the concern in my face and I wonder if I've done something wrong. Does he not like it when someone worries about him for once? It might be a foreign feeling to him, I suppose. Still, it must be exhausting to be the white knight all the time.

He doesn't seem to know what to think of me offering to help him any time he needs it either. He seems to want to change the subject so I allow it, tilting my head as he asks if I'll be alright and admits he has something he needs to do. Instantly I feel bad for keeping him from whatever it is. Surely he had more important things to do than keep me company. I shake my head.

"No, it's fine. I'll be okay, I promise. I'm sorry I kept you away."

I offer a shy smile, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear as I add in a smaller voice.

"Thank you, though."

I can tell by the lines drawn on his face now how tired he must feel and again I internally kick myself for keeping him out so late. He slowly gets to his feet and I follow, finding it polite to escort someone to the door when they're leaving. At his smile, my eyes widen a fraction or two, swallowing as I finally nod and offer my own smile in return.

"I'm sure I can track you down if I need any more rescuing. Good night, Davante."
