Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Doctors were meant to help members of society. However, Raven wasn't quite sure how helpful they would be. It was required in society that all children be looked at by a Doctor. They were supposed to get their shots to keep them from getting old viruses that could kill them. Those physical tests were meant to keep track of their health and ensure that they were maintaining them to continue on the road to a healthy state. This was not something her mate had experienced. The moment he entered into some sort of medical facility, Raven knew that they wouldn't see him as a human being. Instead they would see him as an experiment. However, she would be his voice. Raven would make sure she was with her mate every step of the way, even if they told her she was not needed. They were not officially married, but they were damn near close, and no one would take her out of that room. If Dorian was sure that a Doctor could help him, then she would allow it, but she wouldn't hold her breath that they would have some sort of cure. If they could help him, that was fine, but they would not take him away from her. The lupine had heard of horror stories, of certain sorts of hospital for the mentally ill, and how patients were treated terribly. Raven would rather endure the abuse she faced from her Father and the rest of her pack for all eternity, than have her mate be locked up into one of those hell holes. The curly-haired woman would trust the people Dorian recommended, because who else could she trust in this?

It was much easier, and much preferred, to switch the conversation to marriage. How delighted she was to speak to the King about both of their engagement and upcoming nuptials. Raven was ecstatic to hear that Dorian would do the honors of leading her down the aisle during here ceremony. It meant a lot to her, more so than he would ever know, and she would do well to keep him informed of what to wear. It was amusing that he was more concerned about his outfit than anything else! Raven had her witch friend to help her decide upon a dress. The raven-haired woman would surely lead her in the right direction. Of course she would be a bit hesitant on the dress, but after seeing the book her mate had given her the morning of his proposal, and proclaiming he didn't see the scars, her hesitation would be low. After explaining to her close friend how she felt how her marriage seemed impossible, she was startled a bit when she noticed that there was another in their presence. It was quite remarkable that the two men looked quite similar, it seemed uncanny and odd. However, the reason behind it made complete sense. It was a shame though that Dorian would be considered a royal bastard. Although Dorian wasn't the first nor the last to be considered a love child. There were probably thousands upon thousands of children created not between a married couple, but as a love affair. That Matteo seemed indifferent about the severity of his action was a bit annoying. Blue-grey eyes narrowed as she looked up at the man, judging him terribly, because he shouldn't be that proud of being a homewrecker, well castle-wrecker.

The truth of his birth would not be uttered, ever. It was not her place to speak of it. Nor was it her place to tell the world about it. It seemed a bit odd that Dorian's Father seemed quite content to impose himself upon her meeting with Dorian. Raven rarely ever got to see her friend and have tea with him. The last time was when she was still trying to get over the death of Tetradore. It had been a difficult time and the werewolf enjoyed his company. When she hadn't heard from Dorian in a while, she called, and was given a stern lecture from his personal assistant that they could not have tea willy-nilly! Apparently she couldn't just ask Dorian to go out and about, and that she should be ashamed of even trying! Mortified and embarrassed, she never called upon her friend again. This time she would wait for him to invite her, never wanting to make that mistake again. She was given this time with Dorian, and maybe she was a bit selfish, but she wasn't sure why his Father was sticking around. Raven didn't know him, but the way he spoke with her and what he said, made it all seem otherwise. The lupine still could not bring forth any sort of memory about him. His presence was once annoying and now it was interesting. You would think someone like him she would remember, and yet she couldn't find anything at all. No memory, no trigger, no anything. Perhaps the saying is true 'like a dog on a bone' Raven simply couldn't let anything go.

"So, you teleported into my room or my cage when I was outside? My Alpha can teleport, he can take us with him, it feels weird though."

There were a few times when Tetradore had teleported herself or Tobias. Sometimes they went around the city to do whatever it was they wished to do. Other times he would let them into some of his prized sports car, taking them to whatever sort of destination he had planned. Raven remembered the trip to Yellowstone National Park, and how she enjoyed his company as they explored the park together. A memory she would not forget, ever. Taking a sip of her tea she watched as Father and Son discussed his ability. When Matteo turned the conversation on herself, she listened quietly, puzzled all the same. That the man was able to see into the future seemed, well impossible, and yet all supernatural creatures were gifted ordinary and unordinary powers. That each future showed that she and Tobias found each other brought a bit of solace, although why it would, she did not know. That Fate seemed determined to bring the two together, it made her ponder, because why would Fate want such a thing? Without hesitation directed her questions at him.

"How is that a curious about me? Don't you mean that is the curious thing about him and I? When I saw him, was he always the same, or was he different? Was I always myself or different? And soulmates...you really something like that exists, isn't that just something you tell children?"

The mention though that they were powerful together was answered with a soft snort and shake of her head. She was not the powerful one. There was nothing about her that even made it so. She was a creature cursed with a feral side that could pop out whenever it wanted to. It brought her nothing but pain! It was not something to be pleased or proud about. Her mate, even with his faults, was far more powerful than she could ever be. The powers he had, the mind he had, he was quite invincible. She would do nothing, but drag him down. There were times when Raven wondered why Tobias would even want to keep her around. Of course she understood he loved her, and only her, his words and gestures and proposal made it quite aware! But even before that morning, there were times when she wondered, why he would bother to keep her around. When there were others much better than she. With a shrug of her shoulders she responded to his compliment with a sincerity.

"I think you are just saying that, to be kind, because Tobi is the more powerful one. Why would Fate want us together all the time? Is it because Fate actually feels sorry for how our lives were?"

Looking down she noticed Maxwell's head settled on her lap. The poor pup was fast asleep. With a grin she stroked the top of his head one final time, and let go of his ear. Taking another sip of her tea, she nodded eagerly at his inquiry on whether or not she still read. Of course she read! Reading was her ticket to knowledge and feeling freedom! Although she didn't need to feel that taste of freedom now, the young lupine still wanted to know as much as she could, craving to be useful in any subject.

"Yes, I read as much as I can. My Alpha, he lets me buy as many books as I want."
