Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Azrael

Only Fools Walk Where Angels Fear To Tread

It was with no small measure of relief that the blonde Hunter led that unlikely trio out of that tent and away from that dark woman. Every part of his being seemed to relish even that small amount of distance he had put between himself and that supernatural entity. The very aura she seemed to emit a distinctly unsettling one. It hardly took long for the small group to reach that shade tree, Azrael peering toward that furry bundle with a clear curiosity now. After all, if he had paid such an exorbitant amount of money for the animal he might as well look at it, right? What on earth was so especially exciting about the small, sand coloured kitten with the black banded legs he hardly knew. It looked merely like a strangely coloured house cat as far as he was concerned, if not a bit on the smaller side. What made such an animal so exotic and rare he failed to see in any sense. The sudden mention of the apparently legalities in keeping it prompting that frown to his features all the same. Azrael nothing if not a stickler for the rules in every sense and yet- even he was unwilling to let the Council remove something he had paid for. Besides, how much harm could it do? It was hardly a Were, at least, if it was it was hiding its signature far more effectively than any other Were he had ever met and yet there was something a little....odd about the creature all the same. The animal almost certainly possessing some sort of.....ability. Even if he couldn't quite put his finger on it. He could feel it. It was not, he suspected, an entirely regular cat and yet with such low readings on those power fronts the Hunter was inclined to keep such thoughts to himself. The hunter offering that comment about keeping the kittens existence quite all the same. Serafina's near teasing about Raven prompting that roll of his golden eyes.

"Frankly, I would much rather you had this kitten then that Werewolf. If you weren't magically linked to the Wolf I'd get rid of it in an instant. I prefer the cat."

His thoughts upon Raven had never been secretive in any sense. Azrael willing to admit that she was, perhaps, not quite so bad as he had originally believed and yet he found her unsettling all the same. Still, Serafina seemed to enjoy her and for that reason alone the man had come to tolerate the animal. His girlfriend assuring him in that moment that she too suspected the cat was hardly a Were and yet it seemed even Sera was aware of that...feeling that seemed to exist around the little animal. Azrael's gaze lifting in surprise and yet perhaps he should hardly have been surprised in any sense. Serafina was unusually perceptive and always had been. Witches, he suspected, were as capable as any Hunter when it came to sensing those magical influences upon the world- if not more so. The man's head nodding a moment later.

"He isn't entirely- normal, is he? He has a supernatural signature of some kind. It's low level, at least for now, it might simply just be residue left over from that woman but I'd keep an eye on him all the same. If shit starts flying around the kitchen you call me."

He was, despite the absurdity of those words, nothing short of serious in that request. How he intended to take on a rouge Death Kitten he hardly knew and yet the idea of it somehow possessing the furniture saw the man frown all the same. Possessed furniture a constant fear within the Hunter it seemed. His hand reached slightly out to the creature then, the action almost absent minded as it sniffed at his fingers before proceeding to rub its cheek against them. The barest hint of a genuine smile finding his lips before the Hunter seemed to realize it. Azrael hurriedly making an effort to hide that glimmer off affection he'd felt toward the little creature. Sera's comment about the kitten liking him prompting the faint return of that grin all the same.

"I'm sure he'll like you better within a few hours, give him time."

Amusement readily laced those words all the same. The sudden soft tone from his girlfriend seeing those golden eyes lift as she mentioned that witch again. Sera never yet, in the entire year they had dated, made any request for him to hunt anything or anyone. That assurance he could not be the one to bring that witch done prompting that further curiosity within the man. Why on earth did it have to be someone else? His gaze lingered upon her for several moments longer, an unusual feeling of sorts stirring within him at that subtle realization that Sera....cared. His features softening slightly before he simply nodded. Those words of agreement passing his lips a moment later. Azrael hardly having to think about them. It had been years since anyone had cared enough about him to worry. Even if she hardly admitted it. The hunter easily allowing her to change that subject then as she suggest he name that little creature.

He could hardly remember the last time he'd named anything. Azrael frowning slightly as he pondered that very task set before him. The Hunter hardly taking that responsibility lightly, it seemed. The man prone to considering those more....religious names if only because it was what he was entirely used too. Not that Ariel would do. No. It was too feminine nowadays. The man at last settling on that more masculine version of the name, the very one that meant 'lion'. After all, what cat didn't believe it was a lion? That offered name seeming to prompt a near blank look in the woman before Azrael moved to offer the explanation behind Arik. Sera promptly turning to that kitten to query him on his lion-like abilities in that sweet voice. Women. That declaration that she liked it however readily seemed to provide the Hunter with his own satisfaction. Even if that so-called 'lion' was destined to remain eternally tiny. Oh well. That amusement found his own features again before he gestured once more to the festival. Sera, it seemed, entirely willing to take their new charge home. Azrael already considering that stop they were going to need to make on the way to organise those cat supplies.

"Mice? I'm not buying live mice to let go in the house. What if he doesn't bloody catch them all? Let's just buy him some raw meat. That's what they eat at the zoo- don't they?"

He hadn't seen any sort of zoo-show in years and yet he remembered those big cats eating those chunks of raw meat tossed to them. Why should a little cat be any different? He moved to lead the way back to that car then, the door unlocked and held open for his companion before he moved to take his own seat in the drivers chair. The rumble of that engine practically a purr as he started it. Azrael glancing towards the woman cradling the cat in her arms. That simper managing to find his lips all the same- even despite all the trouble he was sure that kitten was going to be. The woman's name on his lips then, one eye lifting in a manner almost teasing as he regarded the witch beside him.

"Hey, Sera? Happy One year Anniversary- and you thought we wouldn't last."

He hadn't forgotten.
