Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

The very notion that the chocolate factory that had once given that chocolate quarter its name had long since been replaced with a retirement village prompted something of a frown to the Monarch's features. There was something far less intriguing about a retirement village in every sense and yet, the idea of a week-long festival to celebrate that chocolate was altogether delightful all the same. He did not, perhaps, share that same utter adoration for chocolate that his husband did and yet he could hardly deny how pleasing he found that substance all the same. The very idea of a trip to England, to a part of that lovely country he had not been before and a festival of chocolate was a decidedly pleasing one to the man. Dorian readily querying his lover on that very place and whether or not he had a home in that area. Sebastian admitting he did not and yet the vampire hardly seemed displeased at the idea of taking him all the same. The mention of those museums and zoos and cathedral only further widening the grin upon his lips as his head nodded keenly.

"Yes, I think I should like to see it very much, if your not opposed in the least. There is much of your country I would like to see."

There was, perhaps, a near equal amount of his own country he was yet to see in turn. Dorian so hardly having toured Italy since the fourteen hundreds when he had been barely eight years old. Such a trip so surely overdue and one that would likely please his own people in turn and yet how much of that world at large intrigued him! How much there was to see! It was moments such as this in which the Monarch was wholly thankful for that immortality that so beset his eternally youthful figure. How fortunate he was to so be given that chance to live long enough to see but every country in the world. Save perhaps for those few Sebastian had mentioned that did not approve off his own marriage. Those, Dorian was sure, were of no interest to him in any sense. In fact, he was still rather certain that once they returned home he would discover just which countries took such disdain in his marriage and remove Italy's trade from them. The Monarch, it seemed, entirely capable of being difficult when he chose.

For now, however, Dorian so readily allowed his thoughts to be distracted by the presentation of the first of those gifts. The Fae handed that smaller of the two boxes despite Sebastian so having teased him over the contents of the larger one so endlessly! Still, Dorian could hardly deny his excitement for a gift of any sort. The Monarch wholly willing to admit to his own hopelessness when it came to surprises. His hands reached for that box now as he carefully moved to unwrap it, revealing the name of that jewelry brand so neatly printed upon that case. Dorian gently lifting that lid and parting the cloth that lined the inside only to reveal that striking golden bracelet so nestled within. He could hardly prevent that soft gasp that found his lips in the wake of it, his fingers carefully plucking it from that box to hold within his hands as he carefully turned it. How glorious it was! That golden colour so eternally his favourite and too- those neatly inlaid diamonds only further adding to the beauty of that singular piece. His lips pressed easily to his lovers cheek in that ready touch off affection. One that surely gave away his delight in such a gift. Those curious words printed upon the inside perhaps made all the more clear by Sebastian's simple assertion that such a bracelet was not truly made to come off with ease. The very permanency of such a gift perhaps appealing to the Monarch even more.

That query on just how the bracelet worked readily saw the man offer his wrist now. Dorian watching with a clear intrigue as Sebastian found that little screwdriver from amongst the packaging and so begun to unscrew that bracelet before neatly applying it to his wrist and replacing those very screws. It was silly, perhaps, and yet- Dorian could so hardly deny the pleasure he took from the simple idea behind that gift. A very bracelet that did not come off, at least not easily and not without that little screwdriver Sebastian possesed was somehow....meaningful to the Monarch. His wrist so held upward then to better admire that gift before he saw fit to comment upon that very 'forever' that band so represented and too his delight in showing it to Matteo when he might get the chance. Sebastian's softly uttered agreement seeing that warm simper adorn his lips once more as his fingers continued to brush over that golden surface.

It was that very mention of Matteo, however, that seemed to prompt that consideration that he had not heard from his Father in quite some time. The elder Fae having taken to sending that text message every week or so if only to ask how that honeymoon was progressing and receive that near essay in turn. Dorian so delighting in telling his Father just where they were and what they had done so far even if, he suspected, Matteo already knew. Still, he had so hardly heard from the man this week. Dorian given to consider just whom this very guest was that seemed to accoust his Father's attention so dramatically and yet too- he found himself almost pleased the Frenchman had found someone to be social with outside of Alexander. Such idle thoughts were readily distracted by Sebastian's simple suggestion that he could surely text Matteo first. His husband an eternal champion of that slowly building relationship between his Father and himself. Dorian considering that very idea for several moments before nodding once more.

"Yes, perhaps I shall send him a message tonight, even if only to see how he is getting on with his guest. He never has guests. Whomever he is entertaining must be someone he favours a very great deal. Either that, or he does not like them at all and has so chosen to subject them to a week of his company."

One eye lifted ever so slightly as he offered those teasing words. Dorian rather assured that a week with Matteo would either be an utterly splendid week or a terribly exhausting one so depending on how much Matteo liked whomever he was entertaining. The Fae King content to allow such thoughts to pass for now as Sebastian so finally permitted him that larger present! How very curious he was of it! His hands reached to gently take that box from the Prince then. Dorian proceeding to set about unwrapping that packaging only to find himself presented with another box. His silver gaze widening in surprise at the simple words so printed upon the outside of this box.

"Love is art?"

Such words were uttered with no small measure of inquisitiveness, the Monarch glaning curiously toward Sebastian before returning his attention to the box itself. Dorian gently prying that lid from it to reveal the contents within. His fingers reached readily towards that tube of black paint with those same word printed in white upon it, Dorian glancing then toward that plastic sheet and that sign so designed to hang upon a door before his attention shifted to those sponges and coloured paints and...slippers? Had Sebastian so bought him a very curious set of new art supplies? That bafflement upon his features perhaps prompting the vampire to ask if he new quite what he was looking at. Dorian so inclined to merely blink for a singular moment as he further contemplated that box.

"No, I don't think I quite know wha-"

Such words so hardly managed to escape his lips entirely. Dorian pausing near mid-sentence as those very objects within that box and too- that near cryptic title so seemed to make sense to him all at once. This, it seemed, a very specific set of art supplies. That near brilliant grin suddenly seeming to overtake his features all at once.

"Oh, oh."

That very realisation, it seemed, had so finally been made. Dorian lifting those coloured tubes of paint from that box then to more closely inspect them. His gaze dropping to that sign as that soft chuckle hummed readily from within his throat. How well he remembered that first time they had so...experimented with those paints in Sebastian's office. A night that had so lead to that paint being in far more places then either had truly intended and an entire bottle of olive oil so being required to restore their hair to those more natural shades. The Monarch so inclined to remember such a night with a terribly great fondness. His gaze returned to Sebastian's own then, that grin still clear upon his lips.

"It is an art kit for....making art together. This is a terribly exciting gift!"

That, it seemed, was a decidedly chaste way of so wording the very idea behind that gift and yet that warm simper so hardly faltered. The excitement upon the Monarch's features surely clear. Dorian easily leaning forward then to press his lips to Sebastian's own in that all-too eager kiss.

"I do love art very much- I am also greatly inclined to sex. You were right, this does combine so many of our favourite things. Do you know, I think I even have an idea?"

That grin had so readily become near impish in that moment. That those very ideas had found him so quickly perhaps giving way to his excitement over the very prospect of an art piece they might create together and in the most enjoyable of manners. That art kit was gently placed upon the side of the bed then. Dorian's lips eagerly returning to Sebastian's own, the Monarch pressing but slightly forward, enough to coax the vampire to topple back onto that bed. Dorian so easily leaning over him then, deepening that pleasurable kiss for several moments longer before softly leaning away once more- even despite his desire to simply continue that very kiss here and now. His head resting gently upon his lovers chest.

"Where are to head to the Galapagos Islands in a few days. I know our suite there has several sun decks and I am quite certain that I promised you, some time ago, that we could engage within such things outside. Perhaps we might make use of such space, hmm? When was the last time you were with anyone in the sun?"

Art so had a habit of being everlasting and indeed, if that piece was to hang so eternally in their home, then why not make it's creation perhaps equally as memorable? Dorian entirely capable of providing his lover that life for hours on end and too- those same fears for such affection so displayed outside the bedroom had long since ceased to eclipse him. The Monarch more than willing to indulge his lover in that desire to explore the outside. Why not simply make use of that island and the sun that so bathed it in turn?
