Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

That was jealousy that was boiling in the pit of her stomach. How she wanted to end that woman that Lazarus had disappeared inside with, though, she would never admit to herself nor would she tell Laz by any means. Yet, as that door snicks shut, her fingers dig almost painfully into her arms as she grips them, her body heating with that affinity. Anger coursed through her swiftly and she's uncertain why she stays, to catch him in the act? Why would it matter? They were never an item. It's not like Vhalla dated anyways but she couldn't deny that possessiveness that engulfs her so completely. She should walk away but her feet remain planted on the ground, her brain trying to convince her to just leave and never see him again. Though, it wouldn't have done any good if she had left, the Hunter was hardly inside long as he exits, his hand holding an envelope that was clearly filled with cash. Brows arching at it, she can't help but call out to him then, that grin more of a baring of her teeth as she looks at him.

Vhalla is entirely pleased she catches him off guard, that curse word muttered from his mouth as he whirls around to face her. The assassin doesn't move, instead, she fixes him with a hard stare, those icy blue eyes trained on him. His response has her narrowing her eyes as she waves a hand so nonchalantly in the air, "Pretty girl with near white hair? You couldn't have waited awhile?" She muses, that deadly grin still plastered on her features, "I just got back into the city, I was going to swing by the townhouse to say hi but you were already leaving," she shrugs as if it were the most natural thing in the world to follow someone, "I was curious where you were going and I decided to plan my spectacular entrance," she pauses, a sneer captivating her face then, "I suppose I shouldn't have bothered. Typical male," she states, her words practically dripping with jealously and yet, she couldn't stop herself.

She wanted to hurt him emotionally because he had hurt her. Really, that was all it was, Vhalla simply felt betrayed. And why? Because she had fucked Lazarus a couple of times? That was hardly an excuse at all. Glaring at him, she finally pushes off the cement wall, her arms dropping loosely to her side. Vhalla did not show fear, nor would she show the hurt that she buried so deep inside her. She was good at one thing, and one thing only; pushing people away, using her anger as a weapon until it cut so deep there was no going back. Yet, even in her angered state, she can't help but allow her eyes to fall to his arms as they cross his chest, the corded muscle there far, well, more since the last time she saw him. He'd been working out, perhaps even training when she had been gone. Even then her mind wanders to him shirtless in front of her. Stopping that train of thought immediately, she shoves it down so far she practically chokes on the thought.

Snapping her eyes back to his features, she offers him an almost feline grin, that she knew would help make him see red. "You weren't in there for very long, lose your edge, Laz?" She eggs him on, "If I remember correctly you could last all night, now it takes just a few short minutes to finish you off? Hmmm? How very disappointing. She must be a good fuck or you like the idea of being paid for your services," Vhalla says dryly, not caring if the woman inside was listening or not as she gestures to the envelope. Reaching calloused fingers up, she pushes the hood from her face, revealing a purple bruise tracing her cheek bone, courtesy of Ivan of course, and yet, she had all but forgotten about her bruised face, her thoughts only on how she could piss off the man in front of her. God, she should just leave, she should save herself the energy of making him angry. Yet, she couldn't deny that she still wanted the man, she could feel it in her very bones. Why was she trying to piss him off? Oh right, because she's Vhalla and its her only coping mechanism she has.
