Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I've got one more ride and it's gunna be a sight to see

Azrael

Only Fools Walk Where Angels Fear To Tread

Everyone was always so damned....surprised when he mentioned he was dating. Half the Council had given him the same look his own niece had done in that moment. Azrael scowling readily toward her if only for that apparently dubious expression she rewarded him with in turn. Did they all think he was bloody gay? Then again, that veritable surprise they all seemed to have was so apparently over his dating anyone rather then just a woman. Azrael entirely certain no one should have found his dating life this veritably shocking and yet, well, maybe, sometimes, he came off as a little....standoffish. Maybe more then he had truly anticipated if his apparent ability to date anyone came as such a surprise to those around him. The blond Hunter near entirely assured that it was Serafina's species alone that would cause the true surprise and yet that was one secret he was entirely willing to keep. One he had kept concealed for well over a year now and one he hardly saw any need to offer even Calliel in turn. His niece, after all, was entirely trustworthy, of that he was more then assured- perhaps surprisingly so and yet she was still so....young. She had matured since they last met, that much was certainly clear and yet by that same token he so hardly needed some hot-headed teenager thinking she understood or indeed, had any right, to intrude into his own relationship let alone have an opinion about it. Calliel, he was sure, would have a lot of things to say in regards to Serafina. Azrael near wholly assured he had no desire in turn to hear any of them. That was a battle to be fought another day- or perhaps never. One day, he supposed, he might have to introduce the pair and yet here and now he hardly saw any need to consider it too deeply. The Hunter, in that moment, oblivious to Calliel's own desires to find his girlfriend. The blonde girls sudden query on Serafina's will readily returning that scowl to his lips. His own gaze narrowing pointedly upon his niece.

"Of course of her own bloody free will! I might be a Hunter, Calliel, but I rarely take to imprisoning women in my home for years on end, Christ."

The words were hardly loud and yet a certain sharpness existed within them all the same. Azrael quick to pull back his own agitation in that moment, a near dramatic sigh falling from his lips. He'd been doing so well too. He'd hardly really yelled at her once until then, not that he'd so much yelled as spoken a little more....curtly. Still, was that what she damn well thought of him? That he imprisoned women? Either his own niece truly believed he was some sort of monstrous figure else the girl had a truly bizarre understanding of dating. Still, he supposed, raising his voice at her so hardly ever got him anywhere. Azrael once more making that near sincere effort to calm himself once more. After all, either one of them truly only required a spark of sorts to set the other ablaze. A part of the age-old man almost....amused at how alike family could be, even several generations apart. At least he still had some family to call his own, even if Calliel and himself still needed to do a little.....work on their relationship.

He was almost thankful, really, for that sudden mention off her own guardians and their apparent efforts to leech off the money the girl had stood to inherit. Azrael frowning slightly once more as he leant back against the sofa in near the same moment as Calliel herself. The both of them, it seemed, at least slightly more inclined to relax then they had been before. Even if his own senses continued to....irritate him. Azrael forcing himself to ignore that near hushed whisper within that back of his mind that continued to utter those desires to end the girl. It was getting...easier, slowly, to silence those near instinctive urges. Living with Serafina had, to some extent it seemed, furthered his own tolerance for other species. Still, the very idea that someone might have desired to cheat his own niece out of her inheritance was....displeasing. Even if Calliel insisted the matter was taken care off for now. Azrael already assured the words were true as he remained settled beside her, his golden gaze shifted to her own lighter eyes in that moment.

"I trust you don't still see them, those people?"

Why would she? Still, Calliel had proven time and again she was prone to...unusual choices. A part of the man simply inclined to....watch out for her in the same way he had done for well over a year now even if she had hardly known it. Still, that very query of just what she had been doing with her time so seemed to turn within his mind. It was acceptable, wasn't it, to ask after her...well....life? Azrael so suddenly determined to simply make sure she was...ok, even if he so hardly knew why that very desire seemed to afflict him. Work, for the most part, seemed to keep her busy. Alexander so apparently having promoted her. Yet, Calliel seemed to desire even more work, the girl seeming to find disdain in the notion she was hardly as involved with those horses as she desired. Azrael hardly assured why anyone would take any delight from being near a Werehorse in any sense and yet he supposed she was....one of them. Still, that so hardly explained Alexander and his utter adoration of the animals. Azrael entirely assured the other man had become nothing short of ridiculous in his old age and yet that was so hardly a conversation he desired to hold with Calliel- or even Alexander himself. As old as the other man might be Azrael was perhaps a touch unwilling to irritate the fellow entirely to much. The Macedonian was, after all, a terribly accomplished fighter. One whom, if history was correct, so tended to perform even better when seated upon a horse. The Council had been practically abuz the past few weeks with talk of Alexander and Frost. The pair having done far better then any had truly anticipated. The Werehorses seeming to have taken a true liking to Frost as their Alpha and those Hunters inclined to respect Alexander in turn. Still, he so hardly desired to consider politics now. Azrael content to assure his own niece her lack of being busy in these early stages was perhaps something to value rather then find displeasure in. Calliel so suddenly insisting her lack of dating life was so apparently his own doing. The Hunter allowing one eye to raise.

"Perhaps then you should stop telling people we have any relation. After all, unless you're telling them I fail to see how they would know. Even if they did, I have no concern for who you spend your time with or you want to....date. That's, well, up to you- as long as he's nice to you."

His shoulders lifted lightly in a shrug of sorts. Azrael decidedly more...awkward when it came to those more...personal discussion then he'd anticipated. He hardly found favour in her species and yet by that same token he had no desire to deny her any sort of relationship she might be determined to have. Her insistence those other horses were hardly friendly only further prompting that slight frown. Azrael, for once, attempting to make an....effort to take an interest in her life.

"Look, I don't know how this horse talk and pack nonsense works but if you don't like either of the two packs in town can't you just find some other packless Were's to hang out with? Have you tried offering to, I don't bloody know, find a nice meadow to....eat with one of these other Unit horses? Maybe you just need to find something they enjoy doing. I'm really not the best at the making friends thing myself but maybe your just....going about it the wrong way?"

Well- he was trying. That counted right?
