Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The evening stars were out full force tonight and it was beautiful. The moon was bright tonight, almost too bright. The full moon would be upon them soon and Ashton was ashamed to admit that this time, he wanted the moon to pass over them and never actually greet them. He wasn't ready for his first shift alone in this place. He missed his family. He missed his pack and he longed so much for that pack bond. He should leave his past behind and look forward. Surely there was someone in Sacrosanct who needed a pack. Surely there was someone else like him.

By the time he seems to come back to reality, he's wandering through a residential street, someplace foreign to him. He lives in a city apartment where the stars were never seen and it was the sounds of the city that lulled him to sleep. This quiet residential street reminded him of what he was missing. It was quiet, Ashton able to hear the sound of crickets chirping and bullfrogs calling for their mates. It brings a smile to his lips.

But there is something ahead that catches his eye. In the darkness of the street lit only by the streetlights, there's a large orange color, flickering in the night sky. The closer he gets, the more he realizes that this is a fire. It wasn't just any fire, it was a house on fire. He picks up speed, instincts kicking in. What if there was someone inside? Did someone need help? He moves from a walking pace to a light jog, to a full run when he realizes no one is outside.

He's already pulling out his phone and dialing 9-1-1 by the time he gets up to the house. He tries his best to give the address of the house, though he's not entire sure. The operator tells him to stay on the line but as he approaches the door, he hears a faint cry for help. He shoves the phone in his pocket, effectively disconnecting the call on accident.

He peers through the window, trying to see if he can see anyone inside. He sees someone in a heap on the floor and he sucks in his breath. He runs back to the front door, his hand testing the knob for warmth before he tries desperately to open it. It's locked.

Looking around, he grabs a stone that outlines the front flower bed. He moves back to the window and throws the rock as well as a major league baseball player. The rock shatters the window and Ashton grabs another to widen the whole just large enough for him to step inside. He pulls his t-shirt over his nose, the smoke strong and causing him to start coughing.

He peeks around the apartment before his eyes settle on the body of the fallen woman. He runs to her side, checking to make sure she's still alive before he works at trying to unlock the door that she's slumped next to. Once the door is open, the smoke seems to rush out of the house. Ashton easily lifts her lifeless body and carries her to the curb. He places her on the grass gently, brushing her hair away from her eyes. "Ma'am..." He tries to shake her shoulder to wake her up, to lure out into consciousness. "Are you alright?" Once again he tries to wake her. "Is there anyone else in the house?" He looks back up to the burning inferno, wondering if there's anyone else that might be trapped. If there was, he needed to rush in.
