Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Dorian Ellington-AragonaThe King of Italy

It was silly, perhaps, the sheer amount of comfort he so took in that simple gesture. Sebastian's hand resting upon his knee so prompting that warm simper to his lips. His features softening readily as his gaze lingered upon his husbands own in that moment. Those softly uttered assurances so soothing that discontent that had so begun to stir within him at those stark realizations that his country needed him more than he truly relized. His people needed him- and until this very moment he had perhaps been ignorant of that very need. He so hardly blamed his advisors in any sense, after all, it was with his own best interests at heart they had acted to try and ease him into that position and role he had always held and yet, until now, hardly been called to act upon. If there was but any whom carried blame for the state off his government and this mafia and all else it was surely himself and his own ignorance off it. Such naivety on his part was....inexcusable and indeed he was assured he would not allow it to happen again. Dorian so simply not the sort of man whom could not....care. Ferdinand so eternally having mocked him for his gentle nature and yet, perhaps, it was that very gentleness of nature that so inspired that determination to repair his country all at once. He would be a better King then Ferdinand ever had- of that he was assured. Perhaps his own battles would not be fought with lance and horse upon a field or foreign soil to win Italian glory and yet surely they would be equally as significant. These early years of Sebastian and his own rule would surely speak to their people of the leaders they would be and in that Dorian was but wholly determined not to fail. His lovers words perhaps further prompting that simple ambition. Ferdinand had not known what he was capable off. None of them had- save for perhaps Matteo. After all, it had been Matteo whom had once assured him the gentleness, in a cruel world was not weakness- but courage. Perhaps he so finally understood those very words.

"Thank you, Bastian."

How needed that very comfort had been in that moment. Even if it had so hardly seemed it. That very suggestion then, that Sebastian himself might like to oversee but some of those changes seemed to prompt only further concern from his lover. The vampire content to admit that while he surely knew of those issues, his ability to solve them was perhaps no more advanced than Dorian's own. The Monarch content to declare that they would find people then, whom were capable of that very task. Good people. Surely there existed amongst his own staff of ministers a man or woman with the knowledge and experience to undertake those reforms. He need only find them. Dorian, perhaps, inclined to optimism in near any situation- along with that singular desire to chase away but even the slightest hint of distress that lingered upon his lovers features. His own inadequacy when it come to those monetary manners, it seemed, perhaps far to much for Sebastian to handle. The Fae King, in that moment, merely seeking to prompt the return of that very smile he adored so desperately. Dorian readily informing his lover that, despite his stress, he was decidedly prone to looking cute when he was concerned. The Monarch leaning forward in that moment to allow his lips to find his husbands own. Dorian quite suddenly craving that simple closeness and assuredness that Sebastian along was capable of providing. How very irrelevant the world was so capable of being in moments such as this! His hand so reaching then to run through Sebastian's hair as the vampires own hand rested upon his cheek. How loath he was to pull away! Even if only to near sheepishly admit that vast amount of money he had already shown his lover had not taken into account any of the gold that rested beneath their feet and within the treasury.

Dorian had so hardly anticipated Sebastian's movement in that moment, his silver gaze so lingering upon his lover as the vampire searched through those papers Carlo had left only to produce a singular envelope from within. Sebastian so proceeding then to undo that very envelope and slip a sheet off paper from within it. Dorian watching with a clear intrigue as his lover so sought to place his financial statement against Dorian's own. The sheer difference in those numbers so at last clear to the Monarch. The length of his own number alone perhaps giving at least perceivable indication off his own finances. Dorian's gaze widening readily then before that singular 'oh' of understanding at last fell from his lips. Sebastian's gentle assurance that he might well be one of the world's richest men only further cementing that understanding as the Fae King's own features frowned but slightly once more. Dorian glancing upward toward Sebastian then if only to insist they, together, were surely some of the world's richest men. After all, all that he owned was so surely Sebastian in turn from the very day they had said I do. The Monarch wholly determined to share but everything he owned with his lover. Sebastian readily correcting himself but a moment later, that warm simper returned to Dorian's own features as his lips pressed once more to his lovers cheek. Yet, still, those very needs of his country still called. A newfound resolve having settled firmly within the Fae then as he slid from the table with that simple insistence Sebastian was surely about to see something remarkable.

Dorian moved then to return to his own seat with that suggestion his lover should surely do the same before Carlo was summoned back into that room, the rather nervous man taking his place before Dorian so demanded that presence off his advisor. It was a decidedly rare thing, in every sense, that Dorian so demanded anything at all. The Fae King was, by nature, far more inclined to those genteel manners and yet the time had so surely come for him to assert that very position he had perhaps been inclined to leave somewhat idle. Dorian, it seemed, wholly capable of commanding that authority from those around him when the mood should strike him. Benito himself quick to follow those orders and hurry from the room to find those he could. Sebastian taking that opportunity to afford Carlo that apology. The treasurer, already taken aback by Dorian's own suddenly commanding nature seeming further surprised that a member of royalty had taken it upon themselves to apologise to him. His features positively agloe at Sebastian praise in that moment as he straightened but a little more. Thank you your Highness- that is most kind of you. Those ministers, it seemed, were inclined to be prompt. Dorian so hardly affording them a chance to come to terms with their surprise at being summoned before he sought to speak with the first of them. The fae King, for perhaps the first time, taking true charge of that room and the men within it. Dorian, in that moment, every bit a man off his station as he near effortlessly afforded those commands with confidence and assurity. After all, there was little place for indecision of meekness here and now. Dorian determined to bring about those changes as soon as possible. The Monarch wholly aware of the very shock the room at large so seemed to be suffering before he simply sent those men on their way with new orders. The rest he would see to in the coming days.

That door had no sooner closed then the Fae King so turned back to his lover once more with that near impish grin. Dorian wholly oblivious, in that moment, to those more....intimate thoughts that tugged at the vampires mind and just how that more commanding nature might be put to use within their bedroom. That ready laughter his words prompted from the vampire only furthering that grin upon his own features, the Fae's head nodded once more.

"It is a start, if nothing else. I shall deal with the rest over the next few days. I quite like being bossy. Shall we finish now, Carlo?"

It was something of a simple matter then, to go through the rest of those finances and sign what remained of the paperwork before reaching that business of Sebastian's homes and so adding Dorian's name to them in turn, along with the paperwork that accompanied them. The Monarch wholly assured he had but never signed his own name so very many times in a singular sitting! That business taking at least an hour longer then Dorian had so anticipated and yet, by the time it had reached its end, that matter of joint accounts and homes had well been sorted. Dorian so at last rising from his chair with Sebastian in turn to bid the little Fae man a good evening before the pair so stepped out of that room and back into the hall. The Fae King so wholly relishing those few moments of solitude they might be afforded. His silver gaze once more inclined upward toward his lover.

"Do you know what I have come to discover? This King business takes up a great deal of our evening sometimes."

That soft chuckle so readily fell from his lips then. Dorian but wholly relieved to be done with that business for the evening at least, his gaze so seeking the nearest marled wall clock, that time just after midnight. With no further business planned for that evening they might, so at least, be given the rest of the evening to enjoy. At least until Benito so found them once more. Dorian but frowning at that consideration before glancing toward his husband with a look near surreptitious.

"I quite think our schedules are decidedly free for the rest of the night and yet I am sure if Benito finds us they will be less so. Are you quite opposed to moving...less obviously through our palace? I should like to go to the throne room I think so we can consider our renovation plans and yet we best do it rather secretly, I think."

Dorian so held his hand readily toward his lover then, the Monarch waiting only so long as it took his husband to thread his fingers through his own before allowing that power off invisibility to embrace them both. Dorian so affording Sebastian that near sheepish grin before leading the way down the hall and toward that grand, marble staircase. The Monarch taking that flight of stairs several floors downward, the pair passing rather a number of staff so unseen, along with Benito himself- before reaching that throne room door. Dorian's own silver gaze casting but another brief glance down that hall before pressing his hand to that ornately carved mahogany wood. That door opened just enough for the pair to slip inside. Dorian quick to close it behind them before so releasing his lovers hand and removing that invisibility from the both.

"I don't think they shall find us here now. You know, I think I shall redo this carpet too. Heaven knows how old it is. What do you think?"

Dorian so queried then. His gaze lingering upon Sebastian for several moments before progressing further into that room. The Monarch content to wander toward their thrones, his feet carrying him smoothly up those few stairs before he so proceeded to collapse within that very chair, one leg folding over the other as he did, his elbow resting upon the arm of that chair before his head so rested within it to eye his lover in by far the most casual position he had ever taken up within that royal seat. Yet, with no one so here to see him he was wholly assured it did not matter so terribly much. His gaze resting upon his lover then, the vampire so standing at the base of those stairs before him.

"Do you know, when Ferdinand was King, every month he would sit within this chair and the commoners would be allowed into the palace to approach the throne and plead their cases to him, demand his judgement on some matter or another or make some request from him that he very rarely ever indulged. He was not a terribly....good man and yet still i quite enjoyed the pageantry of those days before I was old enough to realise he was doing very little to help anyone at all.... The crown does not see people in that fashion any longer, though I should like to think I would have done better."

Dorian frowned but slightly then, his head shaking just so as to rid his mind of such thoughts before a near impish grin so suddenly seemed to find his features. The monarch so maintaining that near casual, lounging position as he continued to meet his husbands gaze and yet that very look had become but wholly playful.

"So tell me, Good Sir, what can the Crown do for you today? More sheep for your field perhaps? More water for your crops? Have you a band of bandits pillaging your farm?"

Really, he has so always wanted at least one chance to play that role...
