Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Without his own use of his ability to peer into the depths of the future Matteo had hardly anticipated that Aiden might choose to take up that game he had offered them within his feline form. The Frenchman inclined to watch curiously from the high branches of the trees as his companion begun to peel his clothes from his caramel coloured skin one article at a time. This so hardly the first time he had witnessed all of Aiden's figure. Matteo entirely content to offer some indication off his presence for that very thing. That wolf whistle echoing through the trees followed by that complementary assessment of Aiden's butt. Those ready, soft chuckles echoing in turn before Matteo teleported a final time but a few trees over just in case his adoptive son had located him far too readily. It was with no small amount of curiosity that the elder man continued to peer through those branches to watch just what his companion did and indeed just how he moved. Aiden decidedly quick to locate his location. The Panther peering abruptly upward toward him, those emerald eyes meeting the silver off his own before the younger man made himself content to circle the base of that tree in a wholly dramatic fashion as if Matteo were some prey to be caught! Perhaps he was. That ready simper so found his lips once more before Aiden again engaged those shadows, his claws locking into that wood, his blackened, muscular frame momentarily stretching itself like the very jungle cat he was before all but rocketing up that trunk in a rush of inky darkness. The panther landing precisely upon that very branch the Fae had chosen.

It was undeniably intriguing to witness the very feats that feline for was capable off- even without Aiden truly trying in any real sense. That cat distinctly and undeniably powerful. Yet, for now, Matteo so hardly allowed any further thoughts of what might be to afflict his mind when there was a game to be had. That approaching panther so forcing his own form to tread carefully as he backed further and further along that branch, the width of that wood beneath their feet becoming precariously thin before that impish look so found his features once more. Matteo content to inquire as to how well a panther might land upon its feet as opposed to those smaller, more household acceptable varieties of feline. The near ancient Fae so hardly afforded his son terribly long to consider those words before that very branch was so engaged as a veritable springboard- Matteo leaping from it only to send the branch shaking wildly in all directions. His own form teleported effortlessly back to the ground. Aiden left momentarily clinging to that now unstable branch before that darkness rushed to his aid again to bring the feline back to earth in turn. This time, however, Matteo was faster to move once more. The Fae appearing behind his companion then, his hand reaching out to veritably scruff the boy in quite the same fashion as he had failed to do since Aiden had been eleven years old- that very yelp of surprise hardly missed and yet, whether Aiden was inclined to agree, this was a lesson that needed teaching.

It was for the first time then, that his own powers for teleportation were engaged upon them both. Matteo and Aiden both swathed within the Frenchmans power only to teleport upward into the sky itself and well above the canopy of those trees. Matteo abruptly proceeding to let go of Aiden all in the same moment. The both of them plummeting readily back toward the earth. It was astounding, truly, to watch the panther twist so effortlessly in mid-air to right his frame. Matteo content to shout above that rushing air just exactly why he had subject his companion to this veritably unexpected skydive. Regardless of that very look of betrayal he was so presented with. A time would come, one day, when those powers for teleportation might need be used for more offensively then Aiden had ever considered- this but one method of eliminating an enemy and too, a veritable lesson on saving himself from falling. A lesson far better learned and practiced while Matteo himself lingered beside him to catch him should he fail rather than waiting until he found himself fighting for his very life several miles above the earth. This, in the least, would not be a lesson the boy forgot.

Matteo's own form twisted then, the Frenchman rotating himself until his figure formed that near diving position, the speed off his fall quickening rapidly to keep pace with his sons heavier form as those shadows rushed forward and yet- this time- they were not quick enough. The speed at which Aiden was falling and too, he suspected, the boys own panic hampering that affinity as he well suspected it might. Yet, in a manner so decidedly Aiden-like, his companion was hardly willing to accept defeat. That power summoned again, more desperately this time. Those shadows rushing faster then Matteo had every truly seen them come before to all but engulf the panther then. That simper finding his lips yet again. Ah, but the boy had been capable all along! More capable then he suspected he had truly known. Aiden, perhaps, far more ready to face but anything the world might throw at him in those coming years then he truly realised. That veritable burst of power that had surrounded his sons form in those final few moments hinting at even further ability if only the younger man could be prompted to take it. Matteo distinctly and decidedly.....proud of Aiden. That feeling coaxing a warmth of sorts to his chest and yet he so hardly dwelled upon it now, his own figure diving through those trees above and within his companion's sight before abruptly disappearing a final time just before he near collided with that ground himself.

The Frenchman, this time, hardly teleported far in any fashion. The panther, he knew, likely to hear his feet upon the ground and amongst that leaf litter and bracken and yet- as such was his very intention. Matteo wholly content to turn that game into a true game off chase as the Fae so suddenly broke into a sprint. His own head start was surely substantial and yet, he suspected, four legs were far faster then two. Aiden sure to gain quickly once the younger man so realised he was, quote literally, running away from him. Matteo leapt easily to the side then, the Frenchman so purposefully attempting to make that trail more difficult to follow, the man landing on that decidedly large boulder he so proceeded to run over rather then around. Only to leap from it leaving several feet before where that trail ended and started again. The Fae continuing on for several more moments before running around the base of a rather large pine tree for no other reason then to slow Aiden further before leaping the nearest log only to break out of that forest and land upon the riverbank that ran through the back off one off his own horse paddocks. Several mares and foals upon the opposite, fenced side of the bank peering curiously at him. Matteo choosing now to teleport for the last time. That scarf was untied from his belt loop. Matteo forced to teleport several times within mere seconds to ner hover above the water of that river, the scarf tossed over a precariously thin branch that lent right out over that water. A branch far to small to support the weight of a man let alone a panther. Aiden so veritable forced to try that 'series' teleportation a final time to grasp that very prize- ideally without getting wet. Matteo himself returned to the bank just as Aiden was sure to burst through those trees. The Frenchman's own breath coming more heavily from that run as he merely pointed to that scarf.

"If you can get it, Mon Amie. We can have lunch and birthday tart. Before you do though..."

Matteo so shifted from where he stood to wander towards the panther then. The Frenchman so hardly holding any fear of that jungle cat as he crouched but easily beside him, one hand lifted then to rest gently atop the panthers head. Matteo, though he had stroked that fur countless times before, so eternally surprised at the softness it had. His fingers running through that inky darkness of it then. The Frenchman allowed his fingers to run lower, rubbing just behind the panthers left ear for several seconds before brushing down beneath his chin in an attempt to elicit a rare purr from the cat.

"Forgive me, Aidun, but it has been a terribly long time since I have gotten to pet le chat (the cat). Your fur is, how you say? Exquis. Beautiful. Ah! But i knew I could get that purr! You'd have made an excellent floor rug, you know...."

That ready laughter so escaped him then, Matteo lifting his hand away from the panther's chin to ruffle the top off his head in that teasing gesture, a gesture Aiden so often used with Tobias in turn. The Frenchman shifted slightly backward to sit on that bank then, his arms resting upon his knees. A final gesture made toward that scarf.

"It would be a great shame if you were to get wet......try not too."
