Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you were the answer to my dreams

A near plethora of scents accosted the vampire the moment the pair stepped from the warm, solitary comforts of their own bedroom. Sebastian could pick out with distinct ease several of those smells - from the cook of the turkey to something distinctly...cheesy. Matteo had quite clearly been busy since the night before. Although it was, perhaps, no secret that the vampire was entirely ill at ease within the presence of his father-in-law, there was some hope within him that tonight's festivity might go well, especially with such a feast surely waiting for them. A small squeeze of Dorian's hand within his drew his thoughts from the upcoming evening as the couple reached the bottom of the stairwell. He provided his husband with the smallest of simpers as he released Dorian's hand, allowing the fae to embrace his father in an affectionate hug. It was pleasing to see the pair get along so well. Matteo and Dorian's relationship certainly seemed to have blossomed after Dorian had returned to Sacrosanct, thanks in part, he was sure, to Matteo's own every increasing presence within the city. He watched as his husband moved to greet his Godfather with perhaps an equal amount of enthusiasm. The fondness his lover had for his still relatively new family was conspicuous and yet, Sebastian was distinctly pleased that finally Dorian was able to experience the warmth and contentment that could come from having a family.

It was the sound of his own name in that voice he so adored that prompted that small simper back to his lips. "You have been a very diligent study." The vampire commented on the topic of his husband's dedication to so mastering the half-passes Alexander had shown him. His own attention turned towards Matteo himself as the Englishman presented his father-in-law with his own hand. It was habitual, the fashion in which he so effortlessly seemed to return to demeanor near ingrained within him in his youth. That firm handshake was short lived before the elder fae inquired after paying his own staff for their assistance the entirety of the day. A small glimpse of surprise crossed his features before the vampire slowly shook his head. "I would not be opposed." It was an unexpected glimpse of generosity from the Frenchman, though he suspected Charles and Elizabeth might appreciate the gesture, unless, that was, Matteo was under the impression that the pair were not paid enough. His eyebrow furrowed ever so slightly at such and consideration and yet the vampire kept such thoughts to himself, instead, letting his attention shift towards the dining room table and the extra place setting that Dorian had so quickly picked up on.

A glimpse of confusion crossed the vampire's own features as Matteo assured them that, tonight being a family festivity, it was surely important to invite the rest of their family. Frankly, Sebastian was surprised there was more to Dorian's family - especially more they had not invited to their own wedding! He supposed it was...nice Dorian's family was growing and yet, surely they should have broached the topic of any additional family far sooner than Thanksgiving? The sudden sound of the doorbell caused his glacier irises to shift towards the hallway in a small glimpse of inquisitiveness. He watched as Matteo rose with the insistence that he would answer the door. The vampire's eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as his gaze turned briefly towards Dorian. A small shrug crossed his shoulders and yet, the couple hardly had time to speak on the topic before the soft utterance of the Dark Hunter captured both Sebastian and his lover's attention. It was curious really, the idea that Matteo might be apprehensive in the slightest. The elder fae was often nothing but the epitome of confidant and placid. The man's silver gaze so had a habit of piercing through the very soul of any singular individual. Still, he supposed the fae had been distinctly nervous at even admitting to Dorian just whom he was in relation. Perhaps he shouldn't be as surprised as he was.

The Italian Prince's head tilted inquisitively to the side, the vampire picking up almost effortlessly the conversation that occurred just outside of the living room, though it hardly provided him with any real inclination of just whom the individual was. Sebastian watched as Matteo reappeared within the living room with a young man at his side. It was his scent that first caught the vampire off guard. The man was a Were, of that Sebastian was near immediately certain and yet there was a certain richness he had not smelled before within their species. It was curious, prompting that immediate desire within him to taste the man, even though Sebastian scarcely acted upon such an inclination. He was equally as aware of how...particularly attractive the man was, though such seemed to be quite a running theme within Matteo's family if the fae and Dorian were anything to go by. Still, any further considerations he might have had about the newest member of their little family was near immediately distracted by the steadily increasing sound of Dorian's heartbeat. That anxiety, the adrenaline within his lover near prompted an instantaneous and instinctual reaction within him as Sebastian shifted closer towards the fae in an almost protective manner.

The vampire's gaze shifted towards the Dark Hunter as the Macedonian King and this...Aiden....were introduced to one another. Though Alexander had clearly known of this fellow, it appeared it was their first meeting as well. How curious. His lips pursed together ever so slightly in a subtle glimpse of his own distaste for this rather abrupt introduction and yet, Sebastian remained as civil as his manners so required of him. "Good evening, Aiden. It is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for coming tonight." The Prince stated, offering the Were his hand. That shake between the two was altogether brief before Matteo turned to what was, clearly, the most important introduction of the evening. He was hardly surprised to discover that Aiden lived within the city. After all, for all the peculiarity of the man's scent, there was something almost familiar about it all the same, even if Sebastian couldn't quite place where he knew it from. The last thing he expected, however, was for this man to be revealed as Dorian's brother. Even Sebastian could not stop clearly taken back glimpse from his features, his bright blue eyes turned near immediately towards his lover as the fae fell almost peculiarly quiet. He could feel the intense vibrations against his finger, just as well as hear the adrenaline that pumped so fiercely within Dorian's heart. His blue eyes narrowed ever so slightly, eying Matteo with a clear look of displeasure as his hand reached out for Dorian's own. His very touch was meant to be grounding, reassuring even as his fingers fit within his lover's own.

It was, he was certain, almost cruel to spring such a close relative upon the fae in such a fashion - without any prior word of the man's existence. Dorian, he could tell, was struggling with that realization that he had a brother. His fingers tightened against his lover's in a gentle squeeze, as if trying to provoke some word from the fae King whom merely stood there staring blankly at Aiden for several silent moments. That movement within the fae King was almost abrupt as his hand extended suddenly to present the Were with a warm smile. Surprised, he was sure, was quite the understatement here and yet, he remained silent as Dorian made every effort to greet his brother. That offer of a drink caused Sebastian to relinquish his hold upon the fae, even as the King's hand brushed gingerly against his own. A drink, admittedly, sounded particularly...pleasant after such a surprise presented to them. "Gin, Ma Bichette, if you do not mind." Sebastian inquired, his gaze entirely attentive upon his husband all the same. How Sebastian detested surprises such as this and the very emotions they so surely beset his husband with. Though he hoped the end result of this might be favorable, he remained less than pleased at his own father-in-law. " Matteo, you should have introduced us sooner, we would have been happy to invite Aiden over before tonight." His irritation was hidden within the depths of those overly affable words, even though Sebastian was assured the Frenchman would catch on his annoyance all the same.
