Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

How readily that chuckle finds him in the wake of Andras' assurance he could hardly picture him upset, let alone destructive. Andras so hardly the first being to afford him that very sentiment. Matteo, for the most part, a distinctly optimistic individual in every sense. The near ancient Fae so often the epitome of serenity and restraint. Little in the world so inclined to bother Matteo in any fashion- at least, such was the impression the man often worked so hard to give even if it was, perhaps, not the entirety of the truth. Alexander the only being left in all the world whom had truly witnessed his rages. Ah, but how spectacular they had once been prone to be, especially in his younger years. Though it had been some centuries since one had gotten the best off him completely. His veritable tantrum from thirty or so years ago more an act of grief then outrage at any one individual. Even Alexander, that day, content to leave him be. The Frenchman reached easily to take that offered mp from his newfound companion. Andras, for the most part, appearing to have settled quickly now that he had been given the chance to release the vast majority of the anger that seemed to have all but imploded from within. That guilt, he knew, would hardly dissipate so readily and yet that was an emotion Andras alone would need come to terms with. One upon which matteo himself could offer truly little guidance. In the very least, if that future he had seen was to be believed, Andras was destined to find happiness, at last, with Baylani beside him. How very....content Amity would surely have been to know it.

His own thoughts shifted once more to the pooling water around him and the consideration that he could hardly remember the last time he had mopped a floor. How very....domestic it made him feel. The Frenchman debating on whether it would be more sensible to mop that floor from side to side else take up some sort of circular pattern before that sound of Andras from down the hall so prompted his attention. Matteo balanced that mop agianst what remained of Andras' wall then before moving to head down that hallway himself to pause beside the taller man as he peered into that garage. His own silver gaze widening slightly in surprise at the portal that existed there. What a truly curious thing to keep in one's garage. Although, realistically, it was likely more convenient than merely within the lounge room or the bedroom. The Frenchman content to eye that portal with a clear curiosity before offering that insistence he had not travelled through it. Andras appearing to stiffen near imperceptibly at that assurance. Matteo allowing a single eye to lift in some vague expression of curiosity. Was there some issue with the portal? Was it not supposed to be open? Portals, after all, were so hardly his area of expertise. His own method of travel distinctly unique. Andras offering some manner of explanation for that portals very existence then, along with that description on just how he tied those gateways to inanimate objects. Matteo content to frown slightly in consideration. Andras himself appearing distracted as he strode further into that room. Matteo lingering within the doorway.

"Does it matter that it was left open? Do you worry about someone coming through?"

He queries readily. Andras appearing perplexed if nothing else. The younger Fae not truly appearing worried in the least and yet Matteo was nothing if not observant in every sense. His companion not appearing entirely content with that portal all the same. The Frenchman offering that now closed anomaly another curious look before his attention returned to that newly posed question of his own son's efforts to visit Sommia. Matteo allowing that simper to find his own lips once more.

"Ah, Mon Amie! He told me off his 'trip' through that portal, oui! Though he did not tell me that was quite how he had come to travel through it. It will do him some good to be a little cross sometimes. You should push him through more often, Sebastian too. They could both be a little more lively."

How readily that impishness seemed to dance upon the Frenchman's features then. Matteo evidently of the opinion both his son and son-in-law could use a little more....adventure in their lives. That readychuckle easily melded with Andras' own as the other Fae strolled around the room to shut off that water and prevent that impending flood from further its sodden advance. Andras' sudden mention off his mind still being connected to Matteo's own coaxing that curious look to his features once more before his head simply shook. That apology waved off.

"It is no matter to me, though I think my mind would not be a terribly good place to be, I fear. It is a very busy place."

There was something near rueful to that simper that found his lips then. The Frenchman hardly choosing to elaborate further on just why his mind might not be a place Andras might enjoy to linger. Those further mentions of Sommia drawing his silver eyes back to that portal.

"I should like to see it one day. Are you it's King?"

Just what sort of government or political system existed within that 'world' was clearly of intrigue to the older man. Matteo querying after it before moving to lead the way back down that hall and away from the garage. The Frenchman nothing if not content to make himself at home in any and every space he encountered.
"I think you owe me a drink, Andras. Unless you broke all your glasses, Mon Amie."
