Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

In any relationship touch was rather important for all parties. It provided others the ability to connect without saying a thing at all. It gave you the ability to express emotions you didn't have the words for on how to express them. For her touch was both a blessing and a curse. At a young age she craved that gentle and loving touch from those she knew as pack. Mixing her scent with them would provide her a sense of comfort, believing she truly belonged with them. Pack meant she would be protected and cared for. Both her animal and human side craved for that touch that would open and cultivate an important connection. It never came though. Their touches were no where near that love and comfort she sought for. Their cruel touches reminded the young she-wolf that she didn't belong, and there was no chance that she ever would. An alienated human didn't function very well in society, but an alienated wolf...there wasn't much hope for the damage to be repaired. Somehow, Raven wasn't a lost cause. The lupine was wary when it came to touch. By no means did she hate it. With Tobias she learned that touch could be a good thing, and with her pack she was content to nuzzle them and be close. But in the back of her mind she remembered that touch could hurt, so she tolerated it for a little bit. Raven knew the Fae King would never hurt her, his hold on her hand was touching, but she didn't keep it there for him for long...that mistrust still present.

The very idea of Matteo being able to see into the future still seemed impossible. But when he said that she would have not one, but two children seemed terrifying. He wouldn't lie to her would he? It was the third time she met and spoke with him. The first time was here in Dorians' home where he had invited her to his wedding. He admitted he had seen her before when she was younger, but she didn't recall it. If he had seen her he would have taken her away, if he was a decent man. The second time was briefly at Dorian's wedding. He was kind enough to bring her mate a plate full of various sweets if only to help her keep him behaving well in front of the various dignitaries. When he popped into the kitchen at the Ark that was the third time and he seemed just as odd and dramatic as the other times. Not once did she speak to him about children, or the want of them. So, when he brought them up stating it was good that she was practicing her ability to worry, it just made her even more anxious.

Long ago she accepted that she would be raising her children on her own, in a way. Of course she knew Tobias would help in his own way and yet she knew she would need much help. Being in a pack that meant they would be there to help and yet she felt guilty for expecting them to do such a thing. They were not their children. And Tetradore already attempted to help out when his own sister had her children and yet that didn't go fairly well. How could she ask and even expect him to do the same for her in return? It was selfish in her eyes, she was being a burden. She didn't want herself or her children to be seen by anyone in their pack as a burden. Besides their pack already had a bad experience when it came to their members having children. Bringing up this history to Dorian, she never expected him to respond in the way that he did. Blue-grey eyes widened in shock. If he said such things in public the people would not be pleased. Calmly the she-wolf attempted to explain and bring the Italian King into the 21st century.

"Dorian, if a child is your flesh and blood there is a sense of responsibility whether they are a bastard or not. Did you know the courts can force a Father to pay child support for their offspring whether he is married with the Mother? In this day in age there are laws in support of the mother and their bastard children. Those children matter, you can't toss them aside or pretend they don't exist. This is how the world is, and what you said to me must not be said out of this house."

Luckily there wasn't much scandal about Dorian. On occasion the gossip press would claim that he and Sebastian did nefarious things such as accept children as blood sacrifices or they were cheating on one another. The regular press continued to show the good contributions they were making to society. It only took one faux pas to destroy ones reputation. When word got out in the West that she could grow feral some Weres treated her with an extra healthy dose of kindness where as others made insulting comments. She ignored their mean words reminding herself that if she acted upon their words that it could result poorly for herself and pack. Raven had no desire for her friend to go through a stressful situation. Nadya's children were not her own, they were not her responsibility. Even if she didn't like the feline Were she didn't think Dorians comments that her children didn't matter was acceptable. Raven knew what it was like to not matter to anyone and she didn't want others to feel that way, whether they knew it or not. His mention that then other women was out of their pack made her feel uneasy. Again she didn't like the woman and yet she was a sibling of her Alpha, and a former member of their pack. Shrugging her shoulders she grabbed another one of those biscuits, taking a quick bite.

"The mother of his children is our Alpha's sister. We don't talk about her or them, no one ever brings them up. I wish he was given the chance to be their Father. Not only for good practice, but I think it would have helped him all together. He's quite smart you know...you wouldn't think it, but he is. He knows when he is being treated well and when he isn't. He wants to be accepted, just like we all do. I think being around his children would have done him some good. "

Mentioning that the King of Italy would be a very good role model for her children seemed to make him smile. It would be a rather good compliment to say another would be good to be involved within their children's lives. Would she leave her child alone with Dorian? If Dorian was with others then yes, she would. She was sure that he would be a good influence on her children. It would be a good balance between Tobias and Tetradore. Although there was one thing about Dorian that she didn't want her children to mimic...his love for gold. He was a King. It was standard that anyone in royalty obtained objects that helped promote their status. He was allowed to have gold, but she and her children did not. Telling him of this her eyes narrowed as he leaned against his chair with his arms folded across his chest, a typical male habit when they weren't happy about something. That Italian accent seemed to grow thicker as he decided to argue with her about gold. Pulling back some of her curls, she tucked them behind her ear as she coolly replied.

"Gold is an object meant for the high class or those in royalty. I belong in neither. Trinkets in gold while pretty can be dangerous too. We live in a pretty rough side of town. Some packs try to take our territory, I don't need potential thieves trying to slip into our home. Besides, they are my children and I will decide what they need or don't need. The only way you would have a say is if you are their Father."

Raising her head, quite proudly, a smirk appeared the girl believing she had won the 'argument.' She was sure of it. So much so that for added measure she used her telekinesis to throw one of the biscuits sitting on the plate to fly right into his forehead. The she-wolf began to giggle knowing that what she did was quite unlady like, sticking her tongue out she playfully teased him.

"I struck the King of Italy, what are you going to do about it?"
