Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

weep for yourself, my man

malek.

Malek hardly wanted Chizue to feel like a science project of sorts, yet the vampire can hardly help but be intrigued by her unique gift. If she fed from a vampire would she become intoxicated with their emotions? Or perhaps a rabid animal? What an interesting affinity to have! Many thought of him as a strange man, researching magic and history though he hardly minded; Malek rather enjoying to travel and learn in his old age. He was convinced he would be hunted down sooner rather than later from the actions of his other half. How could he possibly convince anyone that he wasn't himself when innocents had been slaughtered? If the man truly admitted it to himself... he was merely looking for a cure, to somehow erase that monstrous side of himself or at the very least, split that personality from him entirely. A fool's hope, though Malek couldn't help but continue on.

He's distracted by his own thoughts as their conversation shifts towards the presence... sort of, merely discussing that fateful night where Chizue had ended up coming home with him. He questions her, asking about her powers, if she had fed off of someone who was intoxicated. Malek can't help but keep the curiosity from his voice as his grey eyes search her face. She seems to nod in agreement with his speculation just as he settles back into the couch, his fingers coming up to scratch the scruff along his cheek. "As interesting as it was to see you intoxicated, I much prefer you the way you are," he casts a sidelong look at her, a simper coating the edges of his lips, "Not that there was anything wrong with you being drunk; I was merely being selfish in my assessment simply because my... morals were so easily broken. You are an intoxicating woman, you make it incredibly easy from someone to want you and to protect you," he states casually, his eyes roving her face briefly. There's no amusement within his features, just bleak honesty as he changes the subject, a flare of panic overwhelming him for the briefest of moments.

Malek wasn't altogether surprised by Chizue's admittance that she could see a semblance of what he was feeling. Her description raging a war of emotions within him as his curiosity desperately tried to trump the worry within him. Releasing a sigh, he allows himself to relax, he couldn't hardly change the fact that she had already seen such emotions, it did him no good to stress himself out about it. Offering her a smile, he chases the troubled look away as he reaches out a plays with a strand of her hair casually, "Interesting..." he trails off as he watches her, the woman, it seemed, didn't know what to do. Dropping his hand into his lap, he merely requests the use of her couch, even tacking on a teasing comment. Chizue hardly notices as her hostess in her takes over, leaping up and moving toward a closet of sorts. Brows raising in amusement, he gives her a moment before he stands, silently padding up behind her as he peers into the closet over her head.

"I can take those, no need to worry yourself," he murmurs behind her, his body inches from her as he holds out his hands for the materials when she retrieved them. He doesn't move though as his gunmetal gaze watches the petite woman, his head bent down to look at her, curiosity dancing across his features. "What do the hues relate to?" He finally asks, thoroughly distracting himself from other thoughts of the Asian woman. Taking a step back, he gives her room once more, so as not to crowd her.
