Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

What a feeling

She knew Frost was watching her as she looked over the shot glass, curious of this alcohol he was offering. She knew Frost would never do anything to harm her. She trusted him, which was saying something. She was naive in her own right and she knew that cause she wanted to see the good in others, but at the same time, she was mistrusting by nature cause it was still animal instinct not to trust. Yet challenges were her weakness. She hated thinking that she'd ever turn down something out of fear or doubt. There was still so much to learn about the human world and she wanted to know it as well as she did the animal world.

When he handed her the shot glass and asked about her experience with alcohol, she didn't have a lot to tell him. She'd only really been drinking when she was with Henry or Tetradore so she didn't know a lot about alcohol. She knew that it usually sucked for taste (except for the "girly" drinks) but the warm buzz that comes after was pleasant. She was a fun drinker, in her own opinion. She wanted to party and was just more random than usual but overall, she felt like her usual self when drinking. Was there a different way to be?

They downed their shots and she was convinced at first that he'd tricked her, poisoned her for some reason she may never find out. She snatched his glass to inspect it while coughing and holding her throat. Why did it burn so much? Would she ever be able to swallow again? He told her that he was used to drinking it but loved to watch others drink it. She glared at him. "More of a warning would have been nice." She declared that she might have throat damage, still painfully swallowing as she tried to process that alcohol could do this to you. She'd never take another drink from him so whole heartedly, that's for sure.

He only seemed amused at her declaration before confirming that she could be his Beta even if she couldn't speak. She snorted in response but it made her have another coughing fit. When the drink started to hit her, he told her that just the one should be enough for tonight and she found herself nodding along in agreement. "I find that I'll agree with you just this once." The words came out almost whimsical and she snorted again since they hardly made sense to her. Wow, that stuff was potent. He sat back in his chair, propping his own feet up before he announced that the meeting was over and she could leave but told her to enjoy the feeling. She smirked as she tried to stand, grabbing the chair and desk for something to lean on a little till she felt more steady on her feet.

"I don't think that will be an issue." She slurred as she stumbled toward the door.
