Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The stars in their orbits

"I don't always know what they are saying, I have to guess." Nadya spoke tentatively as the nerves keeping her on high alert eased. She had to learn to trust others around the twins eventually, even Tobias though the thought worried her. It was with great hesitation as she watched Tobias struggle at understanding how to hold Micah; the twins were still in a very wiggly stage with very little control of their motor skills which led to flinging arms and legs. It took all of Nadya's self-control to not take Micah back. Luckily Izzy started fussing and drew Nadya's attention away to focus on soothing the infant.

Suppose Tobias' response to Nadya's question couldn't be criticized as his understanding for sex in the first place was...debatable. Nadya noticeably cringed slightly at the mention that it was still a 'game'. "Well, yes, when you have...sex...then the girl you have sex with can get pregnant. That's what happened to me, the kittens grew inside of me and then I had them that night. That makes them yours...means you are their father." There, she said it. The dreaded word she had long argued with herself whether she would or wouldn't label Tobias at the family. Sure the twins didn't understand the title right now but if Tobias went around calling himself that to them as they grew up then the twins would call him their father. As Nadya spoke and explained she took on feeding Izzy as she had done hundreds of times now that it was second nature that she didn't even think it would be a big deal.

Tobias' shout startled Nadya far less than the fact that he nearly dropped Micah in the process of bolting towards her. "Tobi! Don't drop him!!!" Her voice was high and shrill in panic, obviously unable to save Micah without dropping Izzy instead. Nadya attempted to quickly shift Izzy into one arm but it disturbed the infant's feeding and caused Izzy to begin to cry until Nadya replaced her. Again Nadya had to wait for the adrenaline to calm down before she could handle talking to Tobias. Luckily Tobias seated himself on the bed beside her which allowed Nadya to not freak out. "No, you don't have any because only girls have them." With a sigh Nadya watched Tobias pet Micah like a cat though was at least reassured he wouldn't get dropped. "Kittens are allowed to see them because it's how they eat. Izzy is eating; this is how I feed the twins." Although Nadya was slowly becoming more determined for Tobias to learn the aspects of the twins she wasn't entirely comfortable. Some topics just needed an extra hand to teach. "We're going to have to get you a video or something. Raven likes to go to the bookstore, why don't you go with her and have her read you a book or get you a video about babies." Surely it'd be uncomfortable for a guy's girlfriend to get him a book and video on how to care for his kids from another woman but Raven was the one afterall who told Nadya to give Tobias a chance.
