Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

(dear friend it will be alright, please just stay by my side)
(you might think the world is tumbling down, but it's not)

The violet eyed girl with snowy locks walks beside the man, he slows down his stride to make up for her much smaller steps. Her hand is small within his, like a bumble bee finding itself with the petals of a flower, she walks comfortably beside him. She makes no note of the chill his hand provides her, Maeve lacks any sense of danger with the man, so sure of herself and her own decisions. That violet gaze looks up at him for a moment with curiosity before she once more focusses ahead of them towards the ice cream shop.

He gives in so easily to her decisions and Maeve is so unaccustomed to people doing so without using her little secret power of persuasion. "Do you like to taste test?" She asks him, purple eyes resting on his pale face. She is distracted then as he shows off his power. Powers. They were still such a fascinating thing for the fae child. Maeve was sometimes unaware of her own, and what potential they truly had. Without Matteo, Maeve would be even more confused about her ability to see through time, into the past, and as of recently, the future. But, the difference between the two was uncanny. The past was always crisp and clear, the sights, sounds, and sometimes even smells and touches, Maeve could feel everything. But the future, well that was a different matter entirely. She knew it was the future when she saw it, it was hazy, foggy, and she felt like she couldn't breathe, like she wasn't supposed to be there at all.

Maeve may not understand her own powers or even those of others and what they mean.
But she knew them when she saw them.

He sits down beside her and she looks to him with a mouthful of ice cream after taking some with her spoon. Maeve, if she knew what he was thinking, would be astounded that he did not know what ice cream tasted like, because for a normal child (though Maeve is far from normal) ice cream is pure heaven. There is still ice cream on her spoon when she leans in close and follows his gaze around to see what else the man could do with his powers. She giggles like the child she is as she covers her ears, flipping ice cream off her spoon in the process. "That is so like crazy," she says, trying to sound like a teenager, only when the chaos stops and the ice cream shop is quiet once more. Purple gaze watches as the employees and boss interact trying to figure out what a strange phenomena had been occurring in the shop today.

But after all the craziness has died down and Maeve finishes her ice cream, she places that spoon down on the table and looks to Damon once more. "I get to ask another question," she says with a solemness of her face that makes the fae child look far older than she actually is. "Why did you find me?"
