Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I know some things should just stay broken

i'm well aware this should remain unspoken

Sterling asked strikingly little of his ex in return for the comfort of a warm bed and a roof over his head. The request not to bring someone back to his home was a simple enough desire, he thought. Thought Sterling was trying to move on, he was definitely not yet ready to listen to Henry love someone else, much less see the face of that woman that his boyfriend...ex-boyfriend...had slept with in his place. The very last thing he anticipated to happen was for that visible flinch upon his ex's fit physique, the man's voice decidedly soft as he promised that he hadn't been with anyone since the night that Sterling had finally allowed Henry to cross that boundary into far more intimate desires. The very admittance, honestly, left Sterling simply staring in disbelief at the face of his ex. That whisper that Henry hadn't wanted anyone else but him only further caught the warlock off guard, Sterling entirely silent in the wake of those words. What was he supposed to say, after all? That he was glad Henry had finally got his shit together? How ironic it was that Henry had finally decided to be true to their relationship when they didn't have one anymore? Or the fact that Henry was only ready to be here when Sterling needed him least?

Oh, how many biting words crossed Sterling's mind, that anger and frustration and resentment still flaring like the flickering flames Sterling controlled within his own thoughts. Slowly, those bright blue eyes dropped from the features of his boyfriend, the Warlock bit his bottom lip and yet, he found himself entirely uncertain of how to even answer that one. In the end, he chose something far more...neutral though the response sounded even colder than Sterling truthfully meant it to be. ".....then there shouldn't be a problem." His shoulders lifted in a vague shrug, even if his thoughts lingered upon those words Henry had offered him. God, this was the worst idea he'd ever had, to let Henry stay in the same flat again. "I'll uh...let you get settled or....something." He commented almost awkwardly, gesturing lightly towards Henry's own room. How he found himself looking for an escape from the uncomfortable conversation, especially when Sterling wasn't sure how he felt about his ex, his emotions torn between that intensely deep hurt and that eternal love he had for the man that stumbled back into his life over and over again.
