Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It was an interesting feeling to say the least. Her small palm clasped against his cheek and where she expected warmth... a chill seeped into her hand. Despite the unnerving predicament she had found herself the doctor side of her wanted to run tests to see exactly how it was possible he was in front of her. It was a thought she would visit another day as her brain was simply far too overloaded to process anything else. Allowing her eyes to flutter close - she pulls her hand away from him after a moment and wraps it around her stomach, and breathes a sigh. His response is quick in turn and she steals a quick glance up at him, blinking at him through long dark lashes before snapping her attention back to the floor. Miya is quick to admit her embarrassment to the mayor - the woman feeling rather badly about how she had been treating him and yet, she simply couldn't change the way she felt so quickly. It was still so new.

When Dareios responds, her head tilts back quickly - her lips parting in shock, "Oh no, no Darios I didn't mean to - I mean... I didn't mean to judge you or make you think that I hated you or anything like that," she flounders, cheeks reddening at how she could be so rude. Taking a deep breath, "I'm sorry - I don't think you need to change who you are I was just taken off guard a little bit. I didn't mean to be rude," she apologizes, allowing her hands to drop to her side and her chocolate gaze stare at his bare feet. What a strangely... intimate thing. Pushing her silly thoughts away he insists she doesn't need to apologize which only makes her want to say sorry again. Biting her tongue, she stays silent for a moment - knowing it would send them into an endless loop of her apologizing and Darieos telling her it was fine.

Miya peers up at him once more as he announces a car is waiting for her out front - barely catching the tail end of his grin. It was charming, she could admit that at the very least. Yet, as soon as it had come it vanished rather abruptly, his features taking on a forlorn look. Guilt racks her body as she chews on her bottom lip as a wave of exhaustion coats her. "I just need a few days. Is that okay? It's a lot to process and I think my hangover is making things way harder than it needs to be right now," she says, a weak but tentative smile tugging at her lips. "I have to work for the next couple of days but I promise to call," she says meeting his gaze. "Pinky promise," she smiles again, shoving out her hand to intertwine her pinky with his in an almost childish way. Letting go sheepishly, she gives him a small wave before slipping into her shoes and grabbing her bag before heading out the door.
