Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

How Aiden disliked that singsong tone to his father's voice - that very melody promising that whatever words came next were ones he was certain to dislike. He paused upon the first step, his body altogether slow to turn and face the Frenchman, a deadpan tone lacing his baritone voice. That small gesture was all that was necessary to draw his gaze downwards and towards the small goat that danced at the edge of that bottom step, the little kid altogether determined to follow him up the stairs even despite how daunting that first leap upwards apparently was to her. Aiden could hardly help the mutterance upon his lips as he insisted the goat was little more than a pain in his ass. Nevertheless, he reached down to scoop up the pathetic animal in his hand. He turned back up the stairs, half lifting the goat away from him as if to show Matteo proof that he had her, his insistence that he had her echoing within his wake. He hardly paused at the sound of Matteo's voice, the look shot over his shoulder surely speaking volumes even as Aiden chose to remain silent in a retort. He could hardly help that roll of his eyes as he reached the top of the staircase though he hardly lingered long lest Matteo somehow know to tease him about that to.

The very wetness of the rain, however, still afflicted the Alpha, prompting an almost swift retreat into the comfort of his bedroom. He hardly wasted any time before he stepped into the bathroom, finally releasing the little goat to prance around the tiled floors. She was ecstatic to explore the new room she found herself in, smaller though it was. Aiden was entirely keen to take advantage of her distraction, however, the man peeling those damp clothes from his chiseled physique. God, how he could not wait for the heat of that shower, Aiden was altogether quick to turn on that rushing water. The steam was quick to fill the room, heating it in turn as the Were-King stepped into the warmth. A soft breath left his lips as he stood beneath the steam, the Were-King content to relish in the warmth. He was hardly given much time, however, before a pathetic bleating and ruffling of the shower curtain drew the weight of his emerald eyes. He could hardly help that muttered curse upon his lips, Aiden forced to pull open the shower curtain part of the way for his little goat to find even a glimpse of satisfaction, her crying far too....annoying to ignore. Even then, she seemed determined to attempt to jump into the tub, the jump too much for her tiny body despite her continued efforts to pace around the edge and pounce feebly at the tub.

His shower, as a result, was far shorter than Aiden had desired, his goat's pitiful cries ceasing only when he stepped out of the tub. Her little tail wiggled as she looked up at him with those big blue eyes. An audible sigh left his lips, that towel in his hands ruffling his wet locks. "You're fucking rediculous." He muttered towards the goat though the baritone of his voice lacked any true irritation. Aiden fastened the towel around his hips, the man reaching for the door knob. A small slit in the door was all that was necessary for the little goat to go running out and into the vastness of his bedroom. The very realization that she had done exactly as Matteo had warned him of prompted a groan to his lips, the bright green of his eyes turned momentarily towards the ceiling in lamentation of his misfortune. The shout of his father's voice downstairs only furthered that exasperation within the man and yet, he did little more than allow another sigh to leave his lips. First clothes... then he would deal with the adventuresome little goat. Aiden made his way towards his closet, the Alpha hardly fretting over what to wear so much as grabbing the first clean comfortable thing he could find.

It was only once he'd slipped on something warm that Aiden turned his attention back towards that mysteriously disappeared goat. "Goat?" He called, his emerald irises scanning the start white carpet of his bedroom. His sensitive hearing quickly picked up the rustling sound of movement, though that tiny goat was nowhere to be seen. "Goat...." Aiden muttered again, there weren't many places she could possibly be hiding, he was sure. The Alpha's lips pressed together ever so slightly in vague consideration. He was certain his feline could find her in mere moments and yet....he suspected the goat would likely not respond well to a giant jungle cat either. "Goat I'm leaving you in here." Aiden continued as he made his way towards the front door of his bedroom, the man making every effort to jiggle the doorknob as he opened the door. The sound, as he anticipated, was a point of great curiosity for her, the little goat's head peeking curiously out from under the bed. "Found you." She bounded towards him, eager to explore the whole world outside of Aiden's bedroom, only for the Were to scoop her up the moment that she got close enough to him. "You're nothing but trouble...you know that?" He commented towards the small animal, one finger lightly reaching up to bop it on the nose, the touch of his finger causing her little nose to wiggle in a way that was almost endearing. Almost.

He moved down those stairs with ease, the goat wiggling within his hand in some clear desire to be free and further her adventure of exploration. It was that action that drew his gaze towards the goat in his hand, despite his father standing at the base of the stairs. A small frown crossed his features as he brought the goat closer towards his chest, allowing him greater control of that wiggling That look upon his features, however, only seemed to prompt the presence of an almost smug simper from Matteo. He trailed after the Frenchman and towards the kitchen, half listening to his father as the goat's intense stare once again garnered his attention. Gingerly he booped her nose, it wiggling in a response he'd begun to find bemusing. It was only Matteo's declaration that he wasn't listening that drew his gaze upwards towards the Frenchman. "Yes, Jesus. Feed her four times a day, I got it." He commented with a roll of his eyes. That bleating from his goat drew his gaze down towards her for one singular moment before his attention returned towards his father, the Were entirely aware of Matteo's gaze upon him.

An entirely unimpressed look crossed his features at Matteo's insistence that he now understood exactly how Alexander felt within his younger years and yet, Aiden was entirely prone to fall back to that comfortable silence. For all his supposed inattentiveness, the Alpha was entirely capable of being astute...when he felt like it. Nevertheless, he watched as Matteo mixed the powder and water into the bottle, the fae shaking it in the process as Matteo continued those instructions. Vaguely, his attention turned towards the sink, his head bobbing ever so slightly to show that he understood. He trailed after his father and towards the sofa, the Were-King settling at Matteo's side. He allowed his father to reposition his hand under the small goat's chest, the small creature had begun to become extra unwieldy since the creation of that milk, as if she knew what was coming.

Carefully, he took the bottle that Matteo offered him, offering it towards the goat that had begun to attempt to stretch out her little neck for as far as she could in an attempt to get the milk in the bottle. Matteo was quick to reposition his hands as necessary, showing him the right way to hold both the goat and the milk, the creature altogether greedy in her gulping from the bottle. Her tail wiggled in unnecessary excitement, Aiden shook his head ever so slightly as he watched her as Matteo pulled his hands away, leaving Aiden to the task alone. The emerald of his eyes were torn from the small creature in his hands, however, as Matteo began to speak of memories long past. Aiden hadn't considered before what had caused Matteo's interest within farming and animal rearing, the Alpha merely assuming it had been a part of his upbringing like the farm that the Frenchman had grown up on, centuries ago. For several moments he listened in silence, his lips turned downwards in a small frown of consideration. "Did it work? Did it teach you to...take care of the..swords and boots?" He inquired, entirely curious weather or not Alexander's technique had worked beyond the care of those lambs.

He watched as his father reached towards the baby goat, the kid still far too distracted with that bottle to care about that touch - though so too had she finally stopped her wiggling. The last thing he anticipated, however, as Matteo stroked the little goat, was for his father to continue that path down memory lane - the fae speaking instead of the man who had taken on that role of his father. Aiden's eyebrows furrowed as he tried to understand the importance of that story Matteo told him. "Because....he fed a foal?" He inquired, his head tilting to the side ever so slightly as he glanced towards the Frenchman. Why did feeding an orphan foal make all the difference?

It was, however, that topic of naming his goat that distracted Aiden entirely from those stories of a time long past. That comment of naming her 'goat', however easy an escape it would have been, prompted a soft huff from his lips. "Not that she answers to 'goat' anyways." He muttered as he glanced down at the small goat in his hand. A soft sigh left his lips as he eyed the creature in his hands. It was the first time in his entire life that Aiden had...well...a pet. It was the first time in which he'd ever had to name anything, really, the sheer task somehow overwhelming now that he truly paused to consider just how many name options there were and how such a choice would stay with her for an eternity. It was...stupid of him, to be so daunted over something so incrediably simple, that realization prompting a scowl upon his features and yet...for perhaps the first time in a very long time, Aiden didn't retreat back towards those walls of apathetic distance he so often used to shield himself with. Instead, his lips pressed together for a moment longer before he muttered softly in response to his father. "I.....I don't know. I'll have to think about it...what do you name a goat..."
Now the beast has come to play
