Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

in a moment we're lost in passion

dancing with this chemical attraction

Despite the despair that so clearly laced Arlo's features, Sebastian found himself struggling to subdue the amusement that threatened to dance across his features. This, he was assured, was hardly worth the level of concern that had so clearly gripped the musician. Abigail was surely not the type of girl to leave her boyfriend over his intriguing color hair. In fact, Sebastian was quite certain it might instead earn Arlo the temporary title of a 'fun science experiment', or something of the sort. The redhead did have quite her own way with words. At the very least, Sebastian was certain that this was hardly an allergic reaction, the continual shifting of shades far more magical in nature. His very suggestion seemed to prompt little more than a quizzical look of consideration from the vampire, the man was certain he'd hardly insulted a witch recently, at least not enough to be cursed quite like this. For a moment, Sebastian watched in silence as Arlo attempted to scrub the color from his hair, the once vibrant red deepening into a darkened navy blue that started, initially, with one wet strand only to spread to the rest of the vampire's locks. Really, the answer to this was almost...obvious, as unusual as this...power surely was. His inquiry on Arlo's affinities, however, seemed to cause the vampire to halt near immediately, as if this was the first time Arlo had considered his color-changing hair was his doing.

That dubious stare he was given caused Sebastian's shoulders to raise ever so slightly in a shrug, the vampire assured that a newly awakened power was the only remaining answer to this...intriguing quandary. Arlo's sudden outburst that this had to be the most useless affinity he had ever seen caused a bemused chuckle to leave the Prince's lips, that string of expletives that followed surely only worsening his laughter. Sebastian was well aware of the glare he was given, the Englishman striving to suppress his amusement as Arlo informed him of the camouflage capabilities of some species of animals. Like Arlo and his strikingly vibrant hair was somehow going to help the vampire hide in any crowd! His very mention of the raves the artist might have once lingered within prompted a groan from Arlo's lips, one that only furthered the soft chuckle from Sebastian. Still, perhaps this power was an ode just to that - to that rockstar, party hard lifestyle that Arlo had once indulged fully within before he died, was turned, and found Abigail. It was funny how death could suddenly put everything into perspective.

Still, the bright blue of Sebastian's gaze was hardly oblivious to the way Arlo's locks seemed to shift in color again, returning back towards that natural brunette seemingly without Arlo's notice. For the moment, the vampire restrained to inform his companion of it, instead comparing the life he'd once lived in England to the Incubus that he had become. Though the English courts had frowned upon promiscuity, it had never stopped Sebastian from...enjoying those bashful virgins hidden beneath those long swaying skirts in darkened corners of manicured gardens and overlooked stables. This was surely just how Arlo's powers manifested such a lifestyle. For a moment, Arlo seemed to consider the idea, his head tilting to the side before a small simper toyed at the corners of his lips. He listened for several moments as Arlo insisted that even in his hay day, he'd never dyed his hair, not to this extent. The blue of his irises lingered upon Arlo's locks as the vampire spoke, simply watching as that brunette too spread for several wayward locks to the entirety of his head. It was only once all of it had returned to that deep chestnut that Sebastian interrupted the vampire to point out the changing of the hair color yet again.

The very words had hardly left his lips before Arlo pivoted in place to eye his reflection in the mirror. How...visible that relief was within Arlo's shoulders, within his very features. His hand drug through those locks, as if reassuring himself that his hair color was back to normal. How relieved Arlo seemed that his newfound affinity had subsided, only to fret over it again reappearing within Abigail's presence. "I would hope you would explain it to her so when you are with her she....doesn't...panic...?" His brow rose, inquisitive as to just how, much less why Arlo seemed so insistent to keep it from her. As far as Sebastian was concerned, she was likely to find out about it at some point. Still...he supposed he could hardly judge Arlo for it. Even he had not revealed the entirety of his own capabilities to anyone - even Dorian. "Mate, just talk to her, maybe the two of you can...bond over powers. Do you know what hers are?" He inquired, his brow rising ever so slightly.

That gratitude Arlo offered him for that...release was easily waved off. After all, it was the least he could do, even if Arlo's blood was...well...vile. It was a shame really, he might have liked to try something new. It was the very mention of his husband, however, that caused Sebastian to glance at the watch on his wrist, the Prince ignoring that teasing jab he knew laced Arlo's words. "I should probably head out. Dorian should be finishing with his meetings soon." That time the pair had to spend with one another uninterrupted, after all, was nothing if not precious, regardless of how 'whipped' Arlo was content to insist he was. He glanced up at Arlo's insistence that, perhaps tonight's activity was something best left to themselves. An almost sly simper spread across Sebastian's features, "Don't worry Arlo, I don't kiss and tell." He insisted with clear playfulness, the vampire purposefully stepping backward and out of Arlo's immediate grasp. "I'll talk to you later." He called over his shoulder, happy to leave his friend with his shower and a chance to undoubtedly...cool off from their afternoon.
