Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Getting used to the absence of Nadya and her children was definitely not going to happen overnight, but Malia felt herself storing the pain away for another time. She needed to pull herself together for the others. They needed her. She took some deep breaths and looked to Frost, who didn't disappoint. She could feel him searching her features and did her best to look strong, even though she felt anything but. Nadya was her comfort, her calm in any storm, and now she was gone. Clearing her throat, Malia looked to the floor for a minute, taking another deep breath as she closed her eyes and cleared her mind. Then she raised her gaze back to Frost and nodded. She could do this.

He confirmed that they would be okay and she felt herself offering a small smile back in reply. She knew somehow that it would be true if he said it. She could help him make sure of it. When she glanced down the stairs and asked after the new Were in the house, Frost gave his answer and surprise flickered on her features as she swung her gaze back to his. Wide brown eyes searched his for a moment as her lips parted. Old Beta? Oh boy. Would she want her title back? Would Malia have to fight to defend it? She pressed her lips into a thin line as she thought for a moment. She'd never been one to turn down a fight, but fighting a pack member? How would Frost feel about that? How would the other members? Then she shook her head slightly. No, she was getting way too far ahead of herself. The other Were might just want her pack back again. She might not care about a title, either way.

Frost's voice pulled her from her new thoughts as she met his gaze again, interest flickering on her face as he told her to find him later and they would talk. She bobbed her head in acknowledgement, watching then as he turned to walk back down. Walking slowly to the railing, Malia gazed down on the others for a moment as everyone gathered at the bottom of the stairs. Seeing Abigail always made her smile, but the girl seemed unusually shy around the new Were, shifting closer to some guy Malia had never met before. Curiosity flickered in her gaze as she studied the well built man for a moment. Who was he? Just another pack member or something more? Abigail's boyfriend? Brother? She intended to find out, but all in good time.

Next, her gaze found the other brunette. She called herself Edie to Abigail before asking about the carrot she was offering. Just the thought of a vegetable made Malia's nose wrinkle in distaste. She seemed cautious, but seemed grateful to Frost that he didn't kick her out. She looked like she just wanted a home. Malia's gaze softened as she turned to steal one mor glance at the empty bedroom of her friend. A sigh left her lips before she slowly turned and started making her way down the stairs. By the time she made it down, Frost had already situated himself in the kitchen and was introducing everyone, including herself as she walked in. She tensed a moment when he made sure to include titles, as if letting Edie know right off the back where everyone stood. She made sure to straighten her spine so she didn't look like she was weak or vulnerable. Her wild animal instincts kicked in, telling her to stuff the pain down deep so she would survive and thrive.

She even made sure to meet Edie's gaze and dip her head in greeting, making it clear that she would take on any challenges, though her eyes held more curiosity than anything. Malia could never be hostile with someone, especially not right off the back. She wanted to know the girl, even to like her and be friends with her. She just had to know that she was no threat, first. The WereCoyote took a seat at the bar where she could see everyone and turned her attention back to Edie as Frost asked a question. She knew right now wasn't the time for side conversation, but she couldn't help but give a sly wink to Abigail just to let her know she was okay and glad to see her.
