What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

i'll spend forever wondering if you knew

Samantha Cassidy

that i was enchanted to meet you

How important that this evening was. The bond between brothers had been fractured with the time and distance, and while it seemed that both boys were quick to launch into times long ago, Samantha did not want to be the cause of any squabble. Or worse, to lose Kit over something as trivial as a bad impression at dinner. After all, it wasn't as if she had a great track record with dinner parties. She'd been a mess at her dinner with Sebastian and Dorian and had let personal insecurities get the better of her. And, of course, a fear of vampires. And here she was headed into another dinner with another vampire. And yet Samantha did not hesitate this time to share those very feelings with him. The nervousness plagued her, and with her recent inability to control the emotions that raged through her, Samantha was positive that this dinner would not be the best idea. Samantha wished that his kind words would have eased the knot in her stomach, and while it lessened it, the young fae still found herself increasingly nervous.

Samantha got out of the car, taking Kit's hand as if it was the most natural thing in the world. There was a part of Samantha, that skeptical little part, that wondered how it had been so easy to fall in love with him. Since everything had happened in her last relationship, it wasn't as if she had been easily trusting. And yet she was sure of him. Sure of this. Samantha's gaze fell upon his features as he whistled, and the chuckle that left her lips was an easy one. "It's not like we live in a dump either, Kit." While they certainly didn't live in the Northern part of town, they weren't doing horrible. "Did I ever tell you that when I came to Sacrosanct, I was homeless? I saved enough to get an apartment after awhile. All I had was this rickety old kitchen table and this futon couch that I'd bought at a garage sale." There was a smile on her features as she considered the memory. It shouldn't have been such a warm one considering how scared she had been as a newborn fae, and yet... it had led to everything she had now.

Samantha gave Kit's hand a firm squeeze as he rang the doorbell. Samantha felt her spine straighten as she awaited her hosts. She wasn't sure what she expected, but the beautiful woman that opened the door made her pause. It wasn't as if she had anticipated a troll, but the gorgeous woman in the stunning red dress made her feel... well, frumpy. Her blue dress didn't hide her growing body, after all. Though Kit made every effort to assure her that she was lovely and beautiful and the thousand other words he used, how could she compare to her? Still, Samantha arranged a smile on her features and prayed silently that the nervousness and apprehension hadn't lingered on her face for too long. She stepped inside the foyer, her attention on the vampire rather than the beautiful scenery around her. And when she was addressed, Samantha's smile was actually genuine and not forced as she looked at Amelia. "We don't have to be formal, unless you want to be. Samantha is fine, or Sam, really. I much prefer Sam." She flashed a quick glance to Kit for reassurance before she looked at Amelia once more. "I have to say though, if you call me Sami, I won't be so pleased." Her tone was joking as she followed her to the drawing room, her body becoming more and more relaxed as she did so.

When prompted, Samantha looked at the bar. She contemplated asking for a club soda, and yet her stomach seemed to have other plans. "If it's not too much trouble..." Samantha explained. "I can't stop thinking about a margarita, if I'm being perfectly honest..." It was almost shy as she spoke, hardly wanting to be a bother to her host. Amelia was already so patient and so generous, and the fact that she was a vampire was easily the furthest thing on her mind. Kit's voice at her side requesting his own drink made her stomach flip, that affection for him so apparent on her features as she looked at him. Samantha's smile only grew as Troy approached, the sound of his teasing voice only further relaxing her. Nervousness seemed so silly now in the midst of it. These people were family now, weren't they? The boys' hug made her grin, and her smile only grew as Troy requested his own drink to his fiancé.

"Oof, you're almost giving me morning sickness with that sap," Samantha teased, a hand going to her stomach in feign illness. Still, she offered up a smile to him as she released Kit's hand to embrace Troy. "I'm okay," She promised. "I feel like a balloon and I'm losing the ability to see my own feet, but I'm doing alright." She released him then, turning to look at Amelia. "If you don't mind, I'd love some pregnancy tips. Is it supposed to feel this utterly miserable?"
