Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

This very evening had been nothing short of a disaster in every way. It had not, Dorian knew, gone at all to plan for any of them and yet there was little to be done to salvage that metaphorical smouldering wreck. The Fae King was, however, distinctly determined to at least attempt to discuss the manner of William with his husband. Sebastian, after all, was surely owed an explanation for his own uncharacteristic behaviour and Dorian in turn was wholly inclined to believe Sebastian need understand just why he had taken such a dislike to his companion. After all, Dorian so surely did not begrudge his lover having friends outside of himself or their royal circle. Indeed, he desired nothing more than that Sebastian might enjoy the company of others, especially those whom might hold some connection to his past and yet surely, surely Sebastian understood why William was an undesirable choice, did he not? Perhaps it hardly mattered. The vampire, in that moment, was capable of thinking of little else save for blood. How well Dorian knew that look of hunger upon his husband's features! Even if Sebastian strove to remain the epitome of poised. It was fortunate, perhaps, that Charles too understood Sebastian's needs as the manservant hurried to see them met, returning with that glass but a few moments later. Dorian moved to step away from his desk (or what remained of it), only to take that glass from the manservant with a word of thanks before closing the office door once more in an effort to afford Sebastian and himself at least some measure of privacy from the rest of their family whom still lingered downstairs.

That glass was presented to his husband a moment later, Dorian so moving to step back once more, affording Sebastian that chance to sate the gnawing hunger. Just who had donated that blood and when the Monarch hardly knew and yet if Sebastian was unwilling, for now, to draw that blood from the Fae Kings own veins there was little alternative that might be offered. Even if Dorian himself allowed his nose to wrinkle ever so slightly at the thought of...old blood. Surely it did not taste quite so....pleasant. Sebastian was quick to drain that glass all the same. Dorian wholly suspecting one glass was hardly enough and yet with the edge of that hunger removed Sebastian might, at last, be capable of hearing those words the Fae King was determined to offer. Sebastian's aura, in the very least, was inclined to appear more stable then it had been before. Dorian waited only so long as it took Sebastian to place that empty glass upon the window sill beside him before his own accented lyrics so easily parted his lips. The Fae king attempted to explain just why he felt William's presence was inappropriate within their home. Especially after the hunter had taken it upon himself to stab Sebastian. His lover's words were near unusually cool in response as Sebastian insisted he had offered William that position quite before that stabbing and before William had offered any declaration of feelings toward him. How decidedly Dorian believed Sebastian in every sense and yet, in all those years his lover had known William, in theri boyhood together, had Sebastian truly been oblivious to William's feelings? There was little Sebastian was oblivious too when it came to matters of love or lust or desire. Perhaps the vampire had simply...denied what had surely been hinted at all those years by William. Sebastian too had already said that he had known William was somewhat...unstable. He had merely underestimated how much. Another soft sigh left the Monarch's lips as Dorian's head merely shook softly once more. His own words are entirely soft.

"I understand that, but after he told you of his feelings for you, perhaps you might have suggested a different position? Did you....not consider at all how I would feel?"

It was that distinct lack of consideration upon Sebastian that, perhaps, so hurt the very most. It was that, above all, that seemed to...distress the Monarch most pointedly. Sebastian was nothing if not thoughtful in every way. This very evening was perhaps the first time, in all the years they had known one another, that Sebastian had shown such a terrible....lack of good judgement. At least to Dorian's own mind. Yet too, how well he understood that want for something, for someone, from the past. A connection to that mortal life he knew his lover still missed. Perhaps he was being...unfair to his husband and yet how terribly potent those emotions within himself were all the same. What an utter and perfect mess! Dorian's gaze fluttered upward once more to meet his companions' own, his silver irises so finding the blue of his husband's.

"Do you truly believe that I don't get jealous, Sebastian? I am not infallible. I possess those same traits of any mortal or human even if I am immortal and Fae. I have to share you with the world, Bastian. Each and every day. I know too what you must do to find meals for yourself and I have never begrudged you that. Nothing about our lives is what anyone might deem normal. We are held to different standards, different expectations, then any other family and yet, try as I might to appear otherwise, I still cannot help feeling possessive of you. You're my husband, after all. Is it too much to ask that I don't have to share you in our own home? That this might be the one place in which I have you entirely to myself?"

How rare it was for the Monarch to admit to such things! Dorian was, after all, distinctly aware of how the jealousy of Sebastian's previous wife had all but destroyed their marriage and yet it was so hardly Sebastian's feeding habits Dorian sought to question. Such things were unavoidable after all. Rather, the Monarch was simply inclined to admit his own shortcomings in this. That jealousy still existed, that possessiveness still played a role even if he was so often near masterful in hiding it. He was, after all, the very King he had been raised to be. To have another man so blatantly in love with his husband within their home or alone with him for hours on end was....simply more than Dorian was willing to bear. A silence of sorts seemed to find the Royal pair then before Dorian so queried whether or not, if their roles were reversed, Sebastian might be willing to allow William those same freedoms. That silence was nothing short of potent once more and oh but how telling it was before Sebastian, at last, so moved to offer a mere nod of his head and that insistence it would not happen again. Dorain's own features frowned but slightly once more. The Monarch so having anticipated Sebastian might have more to say and yet, it seemed, he did not. Dorian moved to rise from that desk he lent on. That Monarch within him seemed to return near suddenly.

"Fine. I am sorry I acted as rashly as I did. It was inconsiderate of me. If you wish to maintain your friendship with William then I have no intention of forbidding your seeing him or anything so foolish as that. He is important to you and I respect that but I request that he remain merely a member of our security team only at this stage. Given this stabbing incident I am not content to have him as a personal bodyguard for anyone. He must have another guard with him for all duties. I will gladly review this in a few months. If there is nothing else, I will see you on the plane."
