Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

leila

A warm simper blossomed across her fair features as Leila struck up an easy conversation with the first unfortunate victim of her insidious game. He was oh so easy to guide to his inevitable demise, the poor man entirely unsuspecting of the woman beside him with her ready giggle and easy-going demeanor. How keen Leila was to don the role she was cast within, the woman's conversation bordering upon sheer flirtation as she neared the garden section of the department store. The show was hardly for his benefit alone, though. Quite on the contrary, it was her husband's ire she wished to provoke. Drawing out that violent possessiveness from the usually quiet vampire was, perhaps, her favorite past time. Her eyes truly were for him alone, despite how things might have appeared. Leila extended an invitation to him to join her nonexistent welcoming party - one he quickly accepted as they stepped into the overly bright and secluded garden section. She led him effortlessly towards the pair of awaiting predators, their friendly conversation ceasing almost abruptly at the very sight of her husband and daughter waiting for her return.

The fae paused at the end of the aisle, simply watching as her husband coaxed the man further towards his death with a hospitable grin, his gaze turned upward towards several boxes. Briefly, the blue of her gaze turned upward to eye the chairs that served as their ploy. Really, they were quite nice, though it wasn't as if Leila had doubted her daughter's sense of taste. They were rather large and oversized, the perfect sort of thing to curl up in on a brisk autumn morning just before the sun rose. Their porch was the perfect size for them too...maybe two with a sofa in between them, that would provide a nice sense of balance. A single glance from her husband caused the woman to pivot upon her feet, her gaze turned towards the sliding doors that separated the garden center from the rest of the store, though she doubted any would venture out here so late in the evening. Rather, Leila was far more focused upon the conundrum of whether black chairs or white would go better with the facade of their house. Morgan did tend to favor the darker colors...but the fabric tended to fade...no, white would make them appear more...normal. The head of the homeowner's association wouldn't suspect a thing with white furniture on their patio.

The soft sound of a yelp behind her assured Leila of the man's fate without even a backward glance from the woman. Rather, it was the far more audible collision of his body into the cart that finally drew Leila's attention. Ah, Quinn had done his job magnificently as ever! Not that she had any doubt within her husband's capabilities after so very long. A soft giggle reverberated upon her lips at her lover's jest, the sticker upon the corpse's forehead a stark contrast to the wealth of brunette locks. Easily, Leila closed the distance between herself and her family, her hands reaching up to rest gently upon Quinn's chest as she drew closer towards the vampire, her blue eyes turning towards Morgan as her daughter insisted they required another. "Yes, I heard chickpea. But I am going to need you two to do something for me first." An easy smile crossed her features as her gaze turned up towards her husband, an almost mischievous glint lingered within her enigmatic blue irises as she leaned up to whisper softly within his ear, her breath so strikingly warm against the cold pallor of his skin. "I want the chairs, Quinn." The sentence was hardly as intimate as her gesture seemed to suggest it was, the fae entirely in a good mood with her first victim so effortlessly secured.

How easily she danced out of her husband's grasp, a grin mirroring upon her features at her own frivolous demeanor, she danced easily around towards her daughter, the cart placed between herself and her husband. "You did fantastic, Morgan! They'll look perfect on the porch, don't you think? Quinn, fetch one of them! Take it out and put it together just like the display ones and put him into the empty box. I shall go see who else I can find. Morgan, be a dear and help your father, you know he's impossible with putting furniture together. Be quick!" It would hardly take them long, she was certain, with their otherworldly speed, to do what she required of them. After all, it would hardly do for another sales associate to stumble upon the grisly scene. Bloodless or not, the sight of their coworker nestled so...awkwardly within their shopping cart would be cause for alarm.

Leila hardly lingered long, leaving the pair of vampires to their task as she moved purposefully back through the store, her gaze cast down each aisle with a warm smile upon her features. That ancient melody was hummed once again upon her lips, the woman pausing only at the sight of two more people wearing those awfully gaudy orange aprons. Hm...they had said it was a two-for-one deal....hopefully Morgan would be ready to play. "Excuse me! Can I get some help? I found a chair in the garden section that I just have to have but I'm afraid it's high up and a bit too big for me to carry." She smiled easily at the man and young woman in front of her, both rising from their tasks and playful banter to help the customer in distress. Ah, this was far too easy.
