Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

New Beginnings

It seemed somehow...harder to start over in the sense of finding reliable people. Anna had managed to acquire a decent manor at least but things had changed since the last time she had built her empire. For one thing, apparently having Were daywalkers was frowned upon in this day and age. They certainly hadn't been slaves back in her day or even maids but their service to her and her coven had been something they were required to fight for and lay down their life if necessary to protect. It wasn't to say they received nothing in return- each and every one of them was protected in turn and given a good life. No one batted an eye at that notion back then. Now, well, it was all hired hands and they didn't want the possibility of dying. Anna-Marie was forced to find other means to get what she needed and to seek out other resources. She had sent out a request several weeks ago for a bodyguard of sorts through the grapevine and had yet to find anyone. Many applied and yet none passed her scrutiny.

Oh how she missed Ceara. Thoughts of her long ago companion plagued her lately. Despite Anna's continued attempts, the vampire woman who had been at her side previously had seemed to vanish. It bothered her. While the little vampire was actually more than capable of fighting and defending herself with her abilities should the need arise, it was more of a challenge to get around in the world at large when everyone assumed she was but a mere child. What she needed was an adept personnel simply to be at her side to act as a key to those doors otherwise closed to a child.

Anna-Marie saw to it that Chizue was set up with what she needed for the night before deciding to get some work done. Chizue was currently the only other vampire living in the large manor while the other occupants consisted of a butler, cook, and a few cleaners, all of which were human. The child vampire made her way down the main hallway to the grand double doored office. The walls were lined with shelves packed with volumes of books and ornate display items- one being something that looked suspiciously like a dragon claw in a glass dome. A large, solid, dark wood desk was situated at the other end of the room facing those double doors. Anna slowly situated into the office chair and surveyed the several organized stacks of papers on the desk. Paperwork was something that was essential to managing assets and her least favorite.

It was utterly quiet as Anna began to sort through it all, reading, taking notes, signing. On one hand she enjoyed the solitude- on the other hand she missed having her feline daywalker beneath her desk, hearing his soft breathing or purr and the feel of his coat against her feet. Surely she could find at least one Were again. It was in those musings that the sound of the office door opening caused Anna to look up and see the butler standing there. "Sorry to disturb you ma'am but a gentleman enquiring about the open position is here." Anna nodded solemnly, "Show him in." The butler turned quietly and retreated back to the main entryway where he had requested the man wait. "Ms. Belrose will see you now." Without waiting for a reply the butler turned and led the stranger down the hallway through the large manor to the open double doors of the office, stopping just outside and motioning for the man to continue.
