Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Walk me home in the dead of night
I can't be alone with all that's on my mind

Sometimes Carolina believed the simple pleasures in life were the best, especially in the form of cat-cafes just around the corner from your apartment that served incredible coffee and pastries with a room full of cats to boot. For a moment the leopard was rather sure she had found paradise when she tasted that small piece of her companions pumpkin bread. Though not her favorite of the savory breads, banana holding that spot, there was no denying it was tasty and she made her enjoyment rather obvious. It boded well for her own pastry, an opinion which she voiced before turning and retrieving it along with the hot coffee from the counter. With both in hand she eagerly followed the lanky hunter as he made his way towards the sun-soaked tables near the large front window.

Settling in to her chair she resisted the urge to stretch in the warmth radiating from outside and how pleasant it felt shining in on them. Not too unlike many of those felines in the other room, Carolina never passed up a good sun spot. Still, she sighed happily before unwrapping her cupcake and giving Alistair the chance to try it as well while she picked up her mocha and dared a sip. It was still rather scalding, her tongue paying the price for her impatience even as her aqua eyes flicked back to her companion. Unlike her own obvious preference for chocolate he didn't seem to consider the offer for more than a moment. That definitive shake of his head accentuated by his comment that he didn't like one of the best substance on the planet. "My sister was the same way" The comment leaving her lips with a small laugh near automatically, though upon following that train of thought she fought the urge to grimace. Swallowing a sudden lump in her throat she continued on, forcing her attention to the present and the dark haired artist across the table. "Is it just the cake you don't care for or chocolate as a whole?"

Daring another sip, this one just enough cooler that she could enjoy the decadent flavors of her beverage, it was easy to see how dangerous this location might prove to be for not just her wallet but her weight as well. The thought voiced aloud and then only validated by tasting the dense, red cake which was undeniably delicious as well. Alistair's response elicited a soft chuckle as she nodded in agreement. "Thankfully they aren't open twenty-four hours or else I would be in danger of stopping by after every shift. The last thing I need at 4 AM is caffeine... and probably end up with another cat as well." The leopard smiled to herself as her hand shifted to pick at the lining of the cupcake, mind turning for but a few moments before she could not resist asking him a question.

That request for some new information about him seeming to puzzle him for a moment, surprising considering the pair didn't know each other very well at all so surely there were a multitude of things for him to choose from. The revelation that he had a tattoo was not overly unexpected, as far as artists and most of their generation as a whole went it was more common than not these days, but that he chose that fact made her wonder if it was of some significance. She opened her mouth to dig further, but the hunter beat her to the punch by turning the tables and expecting her to answer the same question.

Her pink lips snapped shut as she turned over the options in her mind, something innocuous enough but still personal. She should have expected he would pose the question to her after answering, but the feline rarely looked before she leapt and had not really been prepared to answer it herself. "I am terrified of thunderstorms." She leaned in slightly upon voicing the words, though it wasn't exactly a secret very few people were aware of the fact. Breaking off another bite of red velvet topped with the incredible cream cheese icing she savored the sweet treat before sitting back once more.

"Where is this tattoo?" That curiosity ever stirring in the were as she momentarily let her eyes drag quickly down the top half of his body visible over the table top, flitting them back to his face as she took a sip of her coffee.
