Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

fading into oblivion

for the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey
her speech is smoother than oil
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood
sharp as a two-edged sword
her feet go down to death
her steps follow the path to Sheol

- PROVERBS 5:3-5;;
Serafina was quick to ignore the pragmatic tone from the lupine, offering the female only the smallest of scoffs before she led the woman into her home. The young witch hardly dwindled within the threshold of her world, content only with the silence that existed there within, silence that assured her that her mentor had either fallen asleep or had business elsewhere for the night. She certainly didn't dawdle within her hallway, trusting only in her curt tone to express her dislike of having to further clean up after the mutt that she'd already been forced to drag home. The woman's exclamation that she had nailed the task at hand was the only one that caused Serafina to glance up, her fair feminine features showing only the smallest look of satisfaction. For some reason, one that Serafina neither knew or recognized, she trusted the gangly wolf. Their relationship, whatever it was, had been forged in the depths of what was truly a life or death moment. If they could withstand an attach from a dark hunter, surely whatever else life threw at her would be a walk in the park....not that Serafina was considering any kind of future exchanges with the woman beyond the simple task of fixing what she'd broken.

The witch had turned quite pointedly back towards the work bench in front of her, willing enough to ignore the wolf now that it was her turn to play her part within their play for the night. She was in the process of carefully cutting the chamomile she'd collected only hours ago when the wolf's voice interrupted her, causing her paring knife to slip. "Fuck." The exclamation came unbidden to her lips as she quickly stuck her bleeding finger into her mouth. Ugh, was this really the karma she got for actually making an effort to help someone? Seriously? A small frown marred her features as she pulled her finger from her lip, a disgruntled look given at the slit in her skin. Atleast she was already making a healing salve. With a small shrug she picked up her knife once again, setting herself back to her task at hand as she replied. "I owe you. Had you not attacked him the moment he shot, I would have been dead." Serafina paused, adding in a hushed grumbling tone, "Mind you, had you not been trapped in the first place I wouldn't have run across him but....semantics."

The girl shifted from one herb to the next, mixing them all together into some wet, green....mush. She turned towards the wolf with the bowl in her hand, immediately plunging her wounded finger within it. "It's going to make you sleepy but, you'll feel loads better tomorrow." She commented with her best bright, bed side behavior. Fearlessly she stepped next to the woman, taking a large glob of the mixture and placing it with a soft thud upon the wolf's shoulder. Serafina put no thought towards the small slender of silver that mixed within the red blood of the wolf's shoulder. All that she paid any attention to within that moment was slathering the paste over her wounds until every inch was covered, oblivious entirely of the magic she was unintentionally working.
