Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The sudden shout of refusal from the woman sees the snowy-haired man turn, one eye lifting ever so slightly at this far more.....determined side to the girl, some slither of amusement seeming to cross his features as the same as she remains standing determinedly in the yard- the first of the raining already beginning to fall. Hmm. There truly was some spine to this one. How very curious. He simply allows her to continue, face near expressionless as always as she sees fit to shout her defiance. If she continued on with it the neighbours would surely call the police for fear of domestic violence, the equine continuing to merely watch the girl with a near unshakeable placidity. There was a delicately fine line between her new found determination and outright disobedience the girl seemingly content to stroll dangerously along it. This far more assertive side of her was distinctly preferable to the cowering little vixen from before and yet it would hardly serve her well to step to far outside the lines he has drawn so neatly for her, gaze narrowing slightly as an arrow is fired from her bow once more- this time spearing directly through his breakfast- pinning it to the far well.

For a moment still the pale-haired young man simply stares, a small spark of irritation rising readily within him. Alexis was far more....attractive in this fashion, far more valuable with a little steel inside her and yet she was ever so steadily beginning to nip at the hand that fed. How unfortunate it would be to have to be rid of her when she was only just now starting to be useful. Then again, perhaps she deserved something of a chance to at least understand the error of her ways. Her demand to do what she desired tomorrow was entirely ignored, the man moving to stroll smoothly across the kitchen and towards her arrow, pulling it effortlessly from the wall to return his breakfast to his hand, biting into it now, the arrow twirled smoothly about within his fingers- that same, calm demeanour exhibited still.

"Are you done?"

He asks the words smoothly, leaning back against the kitchen table with callous ease all the same, cutting short the woman's words as she moves to stand a foot or some from him upon the porch, longer fingers still twirling her arrow about. This power was a far more impressive one, a nearly unlimited ability for weapons, or so it would seem- a power far more worthy of her respect and yet one he is sure he can utilise further all the same. A power that needed to be watched still. It would not be entirely prudent to allow the girl to run wild with such an ability.

"What is it you would like to do tomorrow? You only have to ask Alexis, I'm not unreasonable, no need for all these....threats."

He moves to lift the arrow slightly in indication of his words before her sudden threat to tell Alexander sees his near indifferent façade falter- if only for a moment, eyes narrowing readily now beneath that thick forelock of hair. Someone was going a little too far. He hardly feared the Hunter- yet some part of him is inclined to hold some measure of wariness for the man all the same. How displeasing it would be for Alexis to ruin such a thing. The words he offers this time a little...tighter, thin notes of displeasure seeping into his voice all the same.

"As I said, no need for such threats, Alexis, you only need to tell me what you want to do tomorrow, I'm hardly a dictator. If you want to stand in the yard all day, go ahead, you've used a lot of power though and I recommend you eat something before you collapse. As for this...."

He simply moves to roll the arrow between his fingers, turning it abruptly down, balancing the sharpened point upon the tip of his finger until the barest drop of blood wells to the surface- the equine seemingly oblivious to it, gaze fixated upon the arrow alone as it balances by the point.

"This new power is decidedly impressive and while you can believe whatever you want in regards to how you came to discover it I am entirely sure that without the little pressure I just provided for you, that you may never have come across it. It is rare for a power to simply appear, we develop them, we adapt them in response to situations in which we find ourselves in need and you did just that. I simply created the situation and your power unlocked. Harsh, yes, but you have a power far stronger then you ever did before now don't you?"

His lip simply moves to quirk upward ever so briefly, assured of his rightness in this all the same. He has seen powers change and grow, spent years watching much the same treatment upon others, though his voice remains near emotionless all the same, as if her mental suffering for this morning held little sway upon him.

"You can gain powers another way though. Through watching another, through formulating an understanding of how someone else's powers work and discovering the same within yourself. It is much more difficult to do that way though and often ceases to work unless you have some talent for that ability already. I did it though. When you healed my leg- I just improved upon it. Would you like to see what you taught me?"

That she surely has no true idea what he is talking about remains to be seen, the man loosely tossing the arrow aside now, hand turned loosely over to show her the small, bleeding wound upon his finger. He allows her a moment to see it, to appreciate it, small though it is, before it rapidly begins to close- thumb brushed across it to wipe away the blood and display the now pristine skin beneath. His 'trick' however, is far from over, the faintest trace of a simper dancing across his lips before the same finger upon Alexis' own hand suddenly tears itself open, leaving the girl with the small paper-cut like wound he himself had displayed only moments ago.

"You heal wounds, so do I, I just do it a little differently- by giving the wound away. So next time you chose to point a weapon at me Alexis consider exactly how much it will injure you to do it. Hurting me hurts you, alright? Do not threaten me again. Now that we understand each other....you don't talk to Alex about us and I will ease up in training- can you live with that?"

Her power was...impressive, with enough practice the equine entirely assured she may be more then capable of beating him and as such he has no desire to see it happen- better to put some doubt in her mind before she fully comes to understand her abilities, better that she holds enough fear of him to prevent her from trying entirely too much to be rid of him. His hand flicks briefly once more, abruptly taking her wound away and returning it to himself, leaving her hands unscathed. It is a faint, near impercibtible thing and yet some part of the man has gained a.....slither of respect for the girl. His manner....easing ever so slightly.

"Now are you going to eat something and tell me what you would like to work on tomorrow or are you going to stand outside like a petulant child?"
